Tell me if you notice the difference between overclocking between 1.0 to 1.9GHz, I haven't.

For jb I'd recommend Simon's supersick kernel. Its fixed alot of the issues I ran into on cm10. (No WiFi, fixed that right up)

Overclock resets after boot
Hello everyone,
Sorry if this should have been posted as a new question. I'm relatively new here and don't quite know the protocol yet.
I'm running Rukin's last stable PrimoC AOKP on my One V. I'm loving it, despite the graphics glitches and the Amazon Appstore running horribly slow.
Anyway, the reason I'm posting is that the Overclock settings don't seem to be sticking after a reboot. I don't know enough to know if that's the kernel or the ROM or what. I did check the box to restore settings at boot, but that appears to only be for managing memory.
I figured I could install Voltage Control to restore the settings at boot, but I haven't had to with any other ROMs, so I thought I'd check here first.
Thanks in advance!

I can play Full HD 1080p Videos smoothly at 1.9Ghz... But beware! The phone reboots whenever it feels like... Watch a video with high resolution which cracks at 1Ghz and then watch it at 1.8 or 1.9Ghz and see the difference....!

Actually, I think the post about having a dead phone is for the guy trying to overclock to 1.9 Ghz, not my 1.2 Ghz overclock. I appreciate the defense, though.

I'm not a fool to keep it on 1.9Ghz always.. I overclock upto 1.5Ghz but when at times I wanna watch a video I have in Full HD, I overclock upto 1.9Ghz than wasting my time in converting the video... (I don't have an internet connection at home to download videos) Downloading ROMs, Kernels, everything using mobile GPRS at 8-9 KBPS..!

your phone reboots because it is having a hard time at 1.9 ghz. I suggest you downgrade a little bit.. let's say 1.7 ghz. My phone personally stays at 1024. Never needed to ramp it up more than that

You guys have hard kernels that will OC to 1.28 for long time now. If no dev is putting those in anymore, it's probably because they aren't stable for much of anyone. Besides, the process size of the Scorpion on that devise would require ridiculous voltages to remain stable at that **** speed.

Yeah, and that Android didn't have the worst dictionaries of any OS in the 21st century. I've got some pretty beat up hands and typing on glass is a pain in my ass.
Guys, I just thought of taking a benchmark test to see if it would make any difference now that I am on jellybean now.. I was shocked to see the result-1227! I remember it was definitely better on stock! I am using cm10 and titaniun5kernel. Not overclocked when I did that benchmark, but ocing really made no difference! Can anyone tell me if my cpu is damaged or there's something else I need to do? Herrs a screenshot:

Thank you.

Also Titanium kernel has a known issue with I/O values
with Quadrant. They will only be half as the values on other kernels
You can test this when using KISS kernel for CM10

BTW: Just to compare - benchmarks are always a bad way to compare real live "values"
Those are the values that you "can" get in CM9 with 1.5GHz OC
and govener ondemand with KISS kernel
soo here's one at 1.5..if u wna compare

I'm not looking for a "best Rom" just want something stable like I said.
Sent from my HTC One V using Tapatalk 2
dont think there is such a thing as stable on this phone, been trying different builds on this site for a few weeks and keep falling back to stock rooted device, at this point I am frustrated with the one v, limited rom's that are stable most of all, the phone does lack speed, but is sensibly priced also.. my daughters phone now, evo 4g , took to a new rom right off think it is nitrous, stable as hell, first rom i ever flashed, but am a long time Linux user so but a stable version others have put on a vm cdma would be nice to know,... faq is not what he asked.
that means same only
Not the same thing, I'm not one of those people asking what Rom is best knowing there's a bunch out there to try. I'm asking what's stable and not going to screw up my phone.
Sent from my HTC One V using Tapatalk 2
if you have many times to kill, just try every available cus-rom in here one by one...
but if you really wanna know my opinion, then go for mySENSE v2.0 and/or Paranoid Android v2.99
u asked for stable and fast rom that is the same thing dude
used cm9 w/ supersick overclocked to 1.5GHz until the battery drained out while playing nfs most wanted, playing music with the Walkman app, quick web browse with Firefox and around two hours of YouTube videos with no crashes or force close. CM9 was the only rom I managed to get to the home screen with.
Stable and up to date are two entirely different things in the android world. For stable, run stock. For up to date, something cm10 based. Every rom has its problems, just a fact of using android.

I guess it works on older device though. Our One X is high end phone so that's why it become placebo. My HTC Desire take this app very seriously. Haha.

If you do some thorough searching you'll find that it does nothing except force your CPU on higher frequencies and thus making it give extra performance at the expense of battery life.
Also the N7 is using a kernel on stock ROM, while the One X's kernel is a Sense kernel and might not benefit from the changes in this apk.
please close
Btw alcohol was used to create this. Might be flammable.
Awesome, is there a slight rundown of what this has to offer over stock?
well, it may or may not be faster/more battery life. its a test kernel to find build method and make sure things are going to work before putting 1000s of lines of code changes in
Sounds good. Flashing now, will test as much as I can.
Will test also thanks

So far it seems to be running well. Run Quadrant and it is using Eco mode as my scores varied by 2000. Don't care about scores just the feel.
The governor is ondemand and uses 1134 alot more. Which is nice not seeing 1512 mostly so battery should be better.
Do have a question though. Do you want us to test different governors? If so, what's the preferred program?
Thanks joker!! It's great to finally have a kernel to play with!!
edit. Decided to use Set CPU. Seems to be working fine. I take that back about using 1134. Guess it just happened to be the speed of choice by what I was running. Still mostly 384 and 1512. And of course Deep sleep
This has worked fine in my testing Bluetooth steaming and calls work without issue. Camera works so does WiFi. I still see the msm host wake lock but it's not that high. Got 20 thousand in antutu so it seems to work without issue.
