I have an issue with my s3. Everytime I reboot my phone the keyboard that I have goes back to stock swype keyboard.. I have a purchased version of smart keyboard pro.. it it annoys me to have to go back to settings and have to change it all over again.
I know its not a flaw with smart keyboard pro.. it never gave me that problem with my other phones..
Does anyone know how to fix it?

I figured out a temp fix by freezing the stock "samsung Keyboard" with Titanium backup pro & selecting Siftkey keyboard in regular settings.

I think it's just part of JB kinda like the annoying input method on the notification every time you type. Happens on stock too just try to not reboot so much or freeze keyboard like other dude stated

When I was on the stock ROM, I also solved this by freezing the stock keyboard.
I found on Frosty JB (stock rooted, debloated ROM) that it doesn't reset like stock does.
It's little stuff like this where rooting shows its strength and usefulness.

I've had this happen since the JB update, too. I think it's a "feature" that requires a work-around like the freezing of the stock keyboard like mentioned.

There's an app in the Play store that fixes this problem: http://goo.gl/Yyha9
I have solution for this
Just change the keyboard to system app
through. Titanium backup. Or toolbox
and change the keyboard to default!!

Updated to ICS through Kies, running stock rooted and using default sms (I know, that's my first problem ).
My problem is I'm having to tap the field three or four times to pull up the Swype keyboard..
Didn't see any info on this posted previously so i wanted to see if i was alone on this. Aside from this issue, I'm running pretty smoothly, no lag, no force closures, no random reboots, just finicky Swype..

Have you tired another keyboard?

Hmmm looks like its not exclusive to Swype, messaging app lags pulling up any keyboard.
I'd gladly switch to handcent, I've just gotten accustomed to being able to pull up my messages from the lockscreen.

Hey all,
I get FCs when I exit from an app that has left a folder open. I want to stay on Touchwiz cuz I like the widgets but this is becoming frustrating.
Anyone else experiencing this? I have latest fw but it did this with original stock too...

it happens to me also, but not every time. if i quit an application by tapping multiple time and quickly on the back key the TW will crash
Yeah it would be better if the folder closed before opening an app. I wonder how often Sammy update TW with fixes. I might move to another launcher cuz I can't have a blemish on this baby

i dont have this issue but i got this one as some others :/

Got the same issue mate.
Me to now and then

Same issue here, already tried to reduce Animation Duration Scale to 0.5. Will try to disable and see if it solves that crash.
I'd like to auto close folders either... This bug is getting really annoying.

Hi guys hope this isnt a fault with jellybean. When I want to delete an empty home screen touchwiz crashes. Before anyone says I have go launcher which I shouldnt have to use. Does this happen to anyone else?
This is going on for me too.. I try to delete a home screen and touch wiz force closes.. Nothing I've done fixes the problem.

Has not happened to me. I just tried it out. I am running stock Jelly Bean and am not rooted and do not have any mods at this time.

I have fixed it. I had my transitions set to none in developer options settings. I set it to 0.5 and rebooted and bingo it all works properly again and I can delete homescreens. Bye bye go launcher.
Just what the title says, every restart it defaults to samsung keyboard.. gets annoying sometimes, even though I barely restart my phone

If you are rooted, freeze via titanium backup.

I have a similar problem regarding the screen mode. I have to tap Save in order for my Natural settings to be enabled again. Like you said I barely restart my phone but it's kind of weird.

Does this mean for me too. Though I didn't notice it until I dirty flashed a ROM over stock.
But I may just have never restarted prior to the flash, so I can't be sure it's related.
This is a know issue with JB 4.1.1 and was corrected with JB 4.1.2 update. We now just have to wait till AT&T pushes it to us.
I've only noticed the keyboard issue on the stock ATT rom. I've been on the tmobile rom for 2 days and haven't noticed a keyboard issue at all.

I just updated my phone yesterday, and im having two issues. The main issue is the flasshing red boarder around the entire screen the appears mostly when switching apps, going home, and turning on/off. It even happens during the boot-up.
Second, my keyboard is lagging. I have all of the "feedback" features turned off and it still does it. No 3rd party boards installed. I really like the new keyboard and I wont have some third party app developers recording every keystroke.
Any ideas?

I wasn't aware there even was on OTA update to 4.1.1. Far as I knew you could only do it through Kies. Maybe try redoing it through that? Or find the stock image on here and flash it through Odin.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Check the developer options. One of them is set to update when the screen draws. Just disable anything in there you don't need.

Thanks!
It was due to user error.
I had strick mode on for some reason.
Glad to know it was something so little.

It was a dubuging feature turned on.
4.1 is available OTA for AT&T right now.
I dont know when it became available, but its really nice. I use adw pro launcher always on all my android devices so I dont get the full experience of 4.1. I really love what they did with the keyboard and the dropdown, but I really wish they kept the data switch there.
My battery life is not as good anymore though...
Anyway, let me know if its not available to you.

Nvmnd it didnt completely fix the problem.
It doesnt do it nearly as much, but its still there. I will redo from kies.
