H0tcakes has a script that you can install to the init. I would imagine that it would work the same on that kernel as well.

Just flash through cwm recovery or take 99gpuoc file and put it in intd files with rwxrwxrwx permissions and owner as root.

Its not going to make it overckockable thru an app. The script overclocks the GPU. I believe to 320mhz, which is the max for our GPU.

If you use a file manager and find init.d folder and the script is inside... It worked!
The script sets the frequencies on the GPU. In linux anything in the init.d folder gets executed upon startup.
BTW the path to the init.d is /etc/init.d

So 320 is the cap clock speed for the 220? I'm running CM10.2 Linaro on my Hercules, and it's CPU OC is 1.8-1.9ghz stable. There's no way to OC the GPU? Trying to play Deus Ex: The Fall and its capping at 14-17fps.

You can OC the GPU within the kernel's species parameters (or if you tweak the script yourself - dangerous to do though)
I use Wild kernel which has built-in GPU oc to 320MHz. Many other kernels have built in GPU OC as well; check for compatibility with your ROM

Yeah I have it set to 320 right now, was wondering if I could go higher?

Rule of thumb for xda. If you are going to mention a kernel you like it is good etiquette to also provide a link to it.

In system tuner under boot tweaks choose force all CPUs online then upon boot completion (this way if init.d tweak script causes issues you override it as this is done after init.d)
Or manually
Start Android terminal
Type
su
Then tap enter
Type
stop mpdecision
Tap enter again
Exit terminal
(could put line in a text file save to SD use script manger to load as su and set as widget too)
(need to do this after every boot or anytime you want to force CPU 1 online when it is not (uses more battery if it doesn't deep sleep as it should when it us not needed)).
Also, DO NOT set CPU minimum speed to 192 mhz use at least 384. Setting to 192 will usually cause CPU to not come back online it is just the increment in mhz not really meant to be used as lowest speed.
This is for any version of Android be it ginger or ICS doesn't matter.

[Q] Overclocking P930 / P936?

Ive done a lot of seaching but cant seem to find the answer....
I have a P936 running a slightly modified version of AT & T's ICS P930 ROM and Kernal.
Ive just finished setting up everything but want to overclock and dont know which kernal to choose.....
Any help? My software version is V20c.....
Use wind kernel, you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you run through the whole thread for the p930/6 version. I'm now using it on a clean v20f, couldn't be happier.

Faux clock lets me set the GPU's 3D clock speed to 320MHz and thats where Ive got it. But the Wind kernal is also supposed to allow overclocking the 2D speed. How do you do that? Cant find any setting for that in the faux app. They say something about echoing something somewhere in the Wind kernal thread.... Any help?

[Q] Get Rid of Lag?

Hello everyone I just flashed the Unicef Rom v13.5 for my phone and I noticed that when transitioning home screen it lags a bit. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this sort of scrolling lag. I have my phone overclocked to 1674 MHz runnion SIO and Smartass V2. Also I have the 3.0.49 ASDK kernel running on here. Should I flash a different kernel? Should I overclock it even more? Is there a script I can run ti minimize the lag on the homescreen as well as the waking up of the lock screen? Thank you very much in advance and if this is a stupid question I am sorry.

Seeder script works great on my phone. Most people who use it forget that you must remove the file qrngd in system/bin first before it will work though. Once you remove that and reboot entropy will stay at 4096 at all times. No lag at all after that. Everything opens up faster almost instantly on every app and browser that I use. I have 307 apps on my phone and suffer no lag from running apps on the bsckground either. I also use a v6 patched service.jar that keeps my memory free at the max so I always have over 300 mbs of ram free even with all the apps I have. My gpu is also overclocked at 320 for 3d and 228 for 2d at all times as well. These tweaks keep my phone fast and responsive.

Ok since we are now on 3.4 i plan to go full swing on this kernel and fix a ton.
Major issues include
Msm_hsic_host wakelocks- this wakelock happens on both wifi and 3g, essentially it stays on and keeps the kernel from sleeping after data use is done. It cant really be completely fixed but it can be greatly reduced. However there is a draw back, this process if improperly fixed will cause data issues. So report report report that way i can revert patches that cause data issues.
Wifi cutting off during deep sleep/random cutoffs- issue with 4.0+ android and arp offload bugs
Gps issues
Heat issues
Mpdecision issues with racing, unneeded extra cores running, stuck on 1ghz, etc
3g random cutting off
Graphic issues- tearing, full buffers, unneeded reloads after rotate, scrolling buffer issues, home reload after rotate, video codec issues, etc
Memory leaks - common with all software, but its nice to seal some up.
Linux kernel issues in 3.4.0- might as well fix some of these too.
Also i plan to add some neat features into one of the branches. Obviously undervolting, but others may include sweep2wake and other nice stuff.

I'm pretty sure it's safer to undervolt than overclock seeing as there's more of a potential to overvolt and destroy the device in the process of overclocking as opposed to losing some software related functionality/potential to cause system instability related to undervolting if that's what's causing your nervousness
