hi guys,
I must install cyanogenmod 7 on my friend's pecan. I found that there are official nightlies, so I downloaded latest official nightly. But before flashing, I would like to hear from someone who installed it what's working, what's not working, and how is the system fluidity.
Thanks in advance,
Me
you wont know until you try but for me everything works and system fluidity is good even though we only have 200+ram

If you are a bit daring, you could try this one instead. Its 9.1, a bit slow sometimes but usable (at least for me). Been using it for around 1 month now and every new version is better than the previous ones.
Enjoy!
Thanks guys! Ok, now I know what gb and ics rom are best to be flashed. Thank you so much! You saved me! i don't want to brick anything... thank you again! I'm so glad that xda exsist. I love sharing knowledge

So I installed the cyanogenmod 7 rc, do i have to activate my phone after?
It should be activated...
Sent from God, who uses CM7 RC1.
No. It is already activated. Now you just have to learn to respect a ROM that is buggy and not finished.

I installed the cmod 7 rc from Rom manager and when I install an app from the market it would force close on the first open but it works fine after uninstalling and installing again. Should I do a factory wipe or something? I have a few other questions too. What's the most stable Rom with the new sense from the desire z or hd? I have more but I'm gonna sleep now. Thanks for the help. I've done this sort of thing with the psp but I guess that isn't really that hard compared to this. Thanks for the help,I hope one day I can be a developer or something.

- Normal. That is a common bug in that release, only hope is to wait for a new release and that they fix it in the next one (that is if you want to keep flashing the nightlies)

They're most likely much more stable than the CM7 ROM you're running now- however since I haven't tried either of the above ROM's I can't really compare or comment on it.
Hi there, long story short - with revolution and leedroid my flash player isn't working correctly (when I load some site with flash based banners in it I got error massage: "page cannot be displayed check...and so on" on their place+some flash based video players on sites are not working). I tried to reinstall the flash player, turn off/on my phone, etc,but without any luck. I did full wipe when I installed the roms+I checked md5. I also tried tb-stock - on it banners looks fine, but still can't play video on some sites :/. I just don't know what the issue is. The roms where installed going with: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11557769 it was easy and run smoothly, except the f*c*ed up flash... (with is a problem, because I use my device as tablet a lot). Btw, as I am asking, is there any simple method to reverse my phone to stock, just asking in case noone can't help with my personal drama(I backed up the downgraded rom, if that helps).
I searched the forum+roms threads, but didn't find anyone else with that problem. Sorry for my incompetence on the matter, and I hope you can/want to give me some tips. Thanks in advance .
P.S. Also, sorry if that's not the right place for this thread, but I think it suit it best (I can't post in the dev section - 10 post rule ftw ).
have you tried a different kernel?
Yes, same :/. It all began with my desire to overclock... tried unity_v2 for example on the revolution(as it was adv from 2-3 people around), but it's the same, didn't help at all.
LeeDrOiD updated to 3.2.0 fixed the issue 100 %.
There is also a 3.2.1 patch available dl using ROM Manager to sort out any very minor lag you may have. Works for some, not others.
I have never had lag (Edit: in current build) or his last few builds running everything as per my signature.

I saw leedroid 3.2 changelog and hope the same as you say, but when I installed it... same thing :/. Btw, leedroid lags, when for instance I watch video from youtube(yes, youtube works, tho it crashes a lot..), there is like slowdown-normal speed-slow down-normal speed, but thats not the main issue(or have something to do with the f*c*ed flash player. I just don't get it, I did everything as it should be done, its not hard... and I get that bug, but noone else got it, lol wut :<. Some other idea? What I do wrong?
EDIT: The problems was caused from adfree part of the roms as it seems, I will research more on the subject after work, but it defo looks like that. All my thankfulness goes to mike1986, and all that helped me out.
Full wipe all available partitions to ext4 before flashing ROM with latest CWM ext4 version.
Make sure you don't restore system apps and data, particularly flash. Don't want to carry one bug from ROM to ROM.

I get all 3 of them. I really appreciate you take so much time to answer me. Thank you again .
No worries. Hope you manage to sort it out.

I am currently on cyanogenmod 7.2 stable release. i wanted to go the Official ICS beta but am unsure how I would do this.
I tried looking everywhere and i cant find anything.
I was looking at installing R800i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic_UK that I found on here as Sony Companion will not let me update to 4.0.2.A.0.42 as ! am on a modified mobile.
Does anyone know a better way than this or should i just flash this to my Xperia play and then update it to official ICS and then install Doomlords kernal v03 for ICS?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have only ever used cyanogenmod and their Xperia play roms are never that brilliant and wanted to try ICS.
I recommend you stay away from the ics beta as it's bad in many respects. You'll be better off trying cm9 or aokplay
Thanks for the advice. I went for CM9 fxp 125 in the end seems to be working really nice.
Only had one question though and that was in the guide on here it said I needed to update my baseband to .62
I didn't do that but seems to be working fine.
Will I get any benefits to updating to that?
Thanks again XDA members, you the best!

I didn't either, and my phone still works fine.
Yeah I know it works fine just wanted to know if it would improve anything.
Hi all,
Tried out a couple ICS ROMs on my HTC Desire and finding that the phone runs very very slowly I want to go back to the original GB ROM I used from MIUI-AU but I can't find it anywhere - I'm really hoping someone has a copy of the ROM for me to download and install on my phone please? I would really appreciate it!
Many thanks!
It's disappointing that MIUI-AU simply dropped anything to do with the GB version, it's as if the development never existed. While I understand them not wanting to offer support they could have at least left the download available.
Anyway.. I have a copy of 1.12.23 (last release?) if you want it - please PM me.

My advice is: try miui xj rom.
Did anyone experience problems with this game? I installed it and it downloaded the extra files, but then it couldn't open, it just closes right after the splash screen...
I' m on cyanogen 10.. I googled a lot but couldn't find an answer to my problem, only found that some other user experiences this, while some other doesn't..

That's weird because I played it on my GNex and it worked fine. I use my own compiled ROM from source. I think I played it when I was running 4.1.2 and just now tried it on 4.2.1 and it is working fine as well.
It may be helpful if you mention the exact android version you are running now whether it is 4.1.x or 4.2.x so hopefully someone else may be able to help you play this great game
Good Luck
The game plays with no problems on my gnex. I'm on stock 4.2.1.
I've got the game and it works perfectly without any trouble on stock 4.2.1... It might be because you're using CyanogenMod but I don't think it should make that much of a difference. I've never had trouble with the start up or running the game.
I'm on 4.1.2.. I sent a mail to the developers, seems strange to me though... i'm even using Franco kernel if that matters..

I'm starting to think that the problem is with cm10.. anyone tried the game on cm10 (android 4.1.2)?

Maybe it is easier to change your kernel first, delete the whole game and install it with the additional files from scratch before changing the ROM to something other than CM10. I use Trinity Kernel and the game is working fine on 4.1.2 and 4.2.1 as I mentioned earlier.
I tried but no luck.
I've dumped a logcat, maybe someone could help me reading it out to search for the issue...

I am not familiar with logcat but hopefully someone else will help in this.
Why don't you make a nandroid backup of your CM 10 then wipe and flash another custom ROM then try running the game??? If it works on the new ROM then you will be sure that it is related to CM 10. Afterwards, you can easily restore your CM 10 via the nandroid backup you made and narrow your troubleshooting to CM 10.
Just my suggestion until someone responds to your logcat

Found the problem in Franco Kernel. Just replacing it with another Kernel didn't work, I reflashed last nightly and everything went fine.
Gonna post the problem in Franco Kernel's thread, for users to know.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out.
