What's everyone using these days? I'm on Lagfee/1024ghz.

Stock on viperinc rom
But on aosp 1.4 ghz 3 down all across undervolt and smartass with bfq govenor

I recently set min freq at 1024mhz / Max 1408mhz, no undervolting, smart ass v2 governor and bfq, thing blazes, battery life is not great but nothing I can't live with, on cm9

Dude, pull your min down. Definitely not good to have it running that high when you don't need it.

I've seen no temp spikes ever and I I've had this chip running at 2ghz never had any problems, if it can be bad to have the min freq so high I don't see it. What's the difference running a performance governor that puts your phone into Max freq all the time?

[Q] Kernels and roms for best battery life?

What does everyone find is the best kernel for battery life?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
personally, i don't think you need to be concerned much about battery life
i'm surprised myself, as i'm a heavy user, and this phone can last very long time on a single charger, pretty much a full day without the need to top up the battery
and that is OC to 1.8 Ghz
my old Nexus S wont last 4 hours with the same usage i give to the T989
it really depends on usage there isn't one golden battery saving combo in my opinion
I would like to know as well because that would be my main reason to want to root the phone.
I'm mainly just looking to get rid of bloatware and better battery life, which rom do you think would be best XDA?
believe it or not, the stock ROM in this version of the phone is very decent for battery life
you can find tune it with SetCPU if battery life is your goal, and NoBars, and optionally JuiceDefender
What about all of the uv kernels? I need to squeeze juice as i'm a power user.

Im getting awesome battry life and even better performance on BeastMod v2.0 with Synergy 0.03 Kernel. With SETCpu i have it at 1.6ghz MAX and 384 Min with LAGFREE scaling. Buttery smooth!

Seconded. And I didn't even OC.
I am also running:
1) Juice Defender Ultimate
2) SetCPU for screen off profile
3) NoBars Battery Saver
This combined with any bloatfree ROM will net you awesome battery life on this phone.
what setting are you using for screen off profile in setcpu?

I use to use 192 min 384 max, but had some SOD problems with the new BeastMOD 2.0 rom, so I used 384 min 432 max.
What about this new phantom ROM?

BUMP......
Juggernaut 2.0 with Jugs 0.3 Kernel
So far for system stability this is an awesome combo. Im still going to wait a few days to talk about battery life.. i spent the last 2hours texting my girlfriend and it drained 50% of my battery.. so yeah hoping the next fews days things will pan out.
2 users reported great battery life with it...
I'm also using BeastMod 2.0 with the latest Synergy Kernel 0.05. I use SetCPU to do min 384 max 1.5ghz (not overclocking) with lagfree governor. It is incredibly fast and my battery life has been solid. I only have one profile on SetCPU which is 384 min 384 max when screen off. All is well here.

What do you consider. Im using 0.05 and this phone is chewing up battery..i estimate 6 hours tops for mine with this kernel...itsjust so fast tho that i cant say no.

[Q] What's your OC/UV set to?

I'm using the Titanium KISS kernel with Min frequency at 368MHz and Max at 1.4GHz. I'm also using smartassV2 as well as sio scheduler. What do you guys use?
I am using the kiss kernep for JB with 1,5 GHz and smartassv2. I think my one v has a nice processor inside , because i ran it with 1.8 GHz almost stable and New it runs with 1.5 for about 2 mounth and its very stable. Just my battery drains hard ,but i think this is because oft the New Miui Rom and wrong calibration. Hope wie geht a New update for Miui with the bugsfixey

max: 1497MHz
min: 245MHz.
governor: ondemmand
i/o scheduler: deadline
you can read here, for more details about governor and scheduler :good:
How is the performance and battery life? Also, is 1.5 GHz stable? I'm scared to go that high. Being a nooby, can you tell me if my combination is good or not? Thanks
Sent from my HTC One V using xda app-developers app
maybe you can read here for more details about the stability of over clocking the kernel to 1,5GHz
1.2 is more than enough as ur battery drains fast....i use on demand or lion heart and when battery is low conservative

CPU Speeds

What are the best CPU Speeds for the Play? and why?
Elaborate. You don't say what you're using it for. For normal use? 245MHz to 1GHz works great for me (stock speed)
For gaming 700Mhz to 1400Mhz max.
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I'm currently using 245 MHz - 1.5 GHz with SmartAssV2. Great performance and battery life. =)
245 mhz min and 1.3ghz max SmartassV2
Good for games and daily use.
OndemandX?? SmartassV2's better for all of that.

Sdojoin

100mhz with screen off, 300mhz when on the launcher, 750mhz when playing emulators, and 1.2ghz for psx emulator.
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch w/ Stock 4.0.4
Xperia Play R800X w/ supercharged stock 2.3.3 and doomkernel
I'm testing Superbad governor right now and I'm liking it, but it's a kind of Smartass v2.
I think the best maximum frecuency is 1.2GHz because gives a 20% boost with mild battery drain, but with some undervolting you can go up to 1.4GHz or 1.5GHz because undervolting relieves the extra power consume.
but still i dont understand what is governor function ? what is the difference between all those governor ? what each of the governor do . for example what is the difference between smartassv2 and ondemand .
@kuro... To better understand the govs I suggest taking a look @ wedgess kernel posts. He basically has them broken down & describes what each one does or how they work.

[Q]Governor for gaming (dev only)

I am bored with my gio because most of high-end games has lag
Does anyone know how to create a governor or a new kernel for better gameplay performance for gio?

OH MY FUC*IN GOD, man, try using performance governor, it set frequency to the max values all time, if game lag, use a new phone
I dont want to change my phone just i want a little bit more from my gio
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 2
So, set governor to performance when gaming. It's a stupid governor, like minnax, minmax set the min and the max at your min values, performanche the opposite: example --> performance governor ,Min 245 ,max 800, the frequency will be 800 at all time
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda app-developers app
you can also set the min value higher
min : 787
max: your highest overclock value
governor: performance
Sorry for maybe off topic but what frequency can fry up my cpu.so i can avoid

every hardware is different. some can OC to 960 Mhz without reboot problems, some can only get to 860 Mhz. you just need to find out how high you can scale.

Minmax set frequency always to min value setted, so always 787, isn't better performance with 800-883?

Most stable overclock on stock inc2 kernel?

I haven't seen any posts about the stock kernel on inc 2.
I just recently rooted and s-off'd, and installed PAC rom which has LOTS of options and customizations including overclock. But I didn't flash a new kernel yet and was wondering if anyone has recommended cpu settings for the stock kernel, making sure it's stable. I've only been testing for a day but I've found 1.2ghz to be stable and I'm going to continue to increase it until it becomes unstable.
Usually 1.4 is nice, with vr or sio or bfq and smartassv2 is good

I had some lags on 1.4 , but smartassv2+bfq definatly best choice for overclocked device.

How's battery life with this?
i have evervolv kernel ,working with 1.7GHZ
my inc 2 work with 1.7Ghz no panic,no rebooting
Stable OC
I've had good success with 1400MHz Max. with SmartassV2. and 768MHz Min. I've used these settings with several different ROMs and various Kernels. They always seem to provide stablity, decent performance and only a minor hit to battery life.
