Why are you wanting the N7105 over the N7100? There wouldnt be any advantage to you

well there would be an advantage for me but not to you when i'm in Hong Kong =]. Also, i won't need to pay so much when i get a data plan through ATT. I can just get the unlimited data for (non-smartphone) for just $10 a month. Also if anything breaks down the repair center in Hong Kong is very efficient you can get drop off your phone and get it back within a day or two.

But if you go to Hong Kong then N7105 would prob be the best then

that's it they lost my business
damn Telus wasted me 2 weeks waiting for nothing
idiots at Telus don't want to sell the phone without a contract
bestbuy canada don't have them in stock, even though the website said they do.
checked 2 store already that shows, and still shows it has stock
most likely i'll be picking up the Tmo version instead, less hassle
WTF! You cant buy a phone outright, you have to be on contract instead? Thats insane.Does this apply to ALL phones?

why dont you get Rogers galaxy s2 LTE?
it has the same bands as Telus but with LTE added!
Most likely it's because they are low on stock and to get more commission they save it for contracted customers. I know that's what I would do if it were me.

my hook-up thread doesn't seem as bad anymore does it. I knew the big 3 would probably be as***** about it and so that's why i wanted a tmobile version instead.
You can probably buy it off someone who's trying to make a quick profit. $500 is a reasonable offer for a $100 on-contract phone.
Just try a different Telus store maybe?
Have you picked one up yet allgamer?

it should arrive in the next 2~3 days
If you know someone working for Telus or can get a hold of a Telus Team login, you can purchase the phone without a contract right now at $509
I will most likely use this phone on Simple Mobile which uses tmobiles towers so the obvious choice would be the tmobile version, but would i benefit in any way by getting the unlocked version? Who is the unlocked version branded by? I dont want to make a mistake because a month ago i was about to get the unlocked iphone for my girl and run it on simple mobile until thankfully you guys tipped me off that the unlocked iphone was actually an at&t branded phone and will not get 4g speeds on simple mobile.
So, who is the unlocked version of the gs3 branded by? And which one should i get, tmobile gs3 or unlocked gs3?
International Sgs3 is branded by Samsung. I believe you would not get 4g, because of the different frequencies. The other option would be the Korean version of the sgs3. I do not know if that works though.
T-mobile is gonna be updating their 1900mhz which means the international s3 will get 3g data and iPhone users same...

Hello All,
I'm going to Europe for my honeymoon :highfive: and I'll be visiting Austria, Germany, Italy, and Greece. I have a Verizon Galaxy Note II (SCH-I605) rooted and unlocked (casual) running CleanROM 4.5 and the Perseus 33.4 Kernel.
I'm really confused about the whole SIM card business. I know that if I just go overseas using Verizon as my primary service that I'll go bankrupt. Here are my questions:
1. What SIM card or cards do I need in order to have both data and voice service in those countries? Is there a good one card does all?
2. What is the procedure for using a SIM card? Is there anything special I need to do since my phone already unlocked? Is there a way I could "test" to ensure that it's unlocked
The reason I need to have data is because I will be using GPS a lot in order to find my way around.
I really appreciate the help!!!

I haven't heard of a roaming "add-on". I know that Verizon has a global package but that it's absolutely sky high in cost in comparison to local plans.

Well ironical is that you are going to a world trip and you are gonna become bankrupt due to roaming fee.
Anyways I would recommend you to try putting another sim card.

Lol have you seen the rates that Verizon charges? If I were to even have moderate usage, I could ring up charges that nearly add up to the cost of my transatlantic flight!!!!
I have a US sgs3: SGH-I747 that was bought/used on AT&T.
I want to be able to drop in a new SIM when I go to china and Hong Kong, and use the Voice/Data Networks over there. Is there a way to do this? Must I root the device?
You can prepay your minutes for the sim card and just drop it into your phone but data is still by carrier and you're using data roaming. I recommend not using data overseas because it's really expensive. You can contact your provider and have them not charge you for domestic data for however long you're gone. Maybe save a few bucks?

No need to root.
Network Unlock your device.
Once you're in Honk Kong drop that sim in
And you should be set. Make sure you have the right APN settings for the network you're going to use.

Ok! Very cool! What about Data? Can I prepay for Voice and data on those sims and just use them? Or will AT&T Charge me a ton for data use?

If you use a pre paid service over in Honk Kong you might.
ATT only charges you a ton if you keep using ATT services internationally, like going to Honk Kong.

If you are using a SIM card from whatever country you are in, AT&T cannot do anything. The idea is that you will remove your AT&T sim card while there and therefore will not use AT&T service. Yes there is prepaid voice and MAYBE data (never tried the data so I am not 100% certain on data). Depends on what you can find for SIMs.
Last time I was in Hong Kong I used a "One2Free" prepaid SIM card I bought at a 7-Eleven. Seemed to work pretty good.
Couldn't get signal twice over the 14 days I was there, wasn't sure what the problem was, but rebooting the phone fixed it.

I waited for weeks for Negri because I didn't know they were that shaddy. Costs more from T-Mobile but at least I have the peace of mind. 5% cashback also helped.
Brought mine from someone. $560. I unlocked it, now I'm rocking it on AT&T LTE network.

Oy! For the love of God, stay away from Negri. I'm sure the thread is still here somewhere. Just search.
I got my from Swappa (After I cancelled my Negri order). Got a decent deal, saved about $100 over the cost of getting it from T-Mobile. Take your time to find a reputable seller. Look for sellers that aren't just buying and selling used phones (i.e. look for an original owner).

SWAPPA is what I would recommend. Can't trust the IMEI problems froms Craigslist or Ebay phones.
Got mine from swappa as well, paid $680, brand new in box.
It's not always a horror story with craigslist, there are a few decent people on there lol. But yea I agree other places are definetly more trustworthy and safe to buy from, just don't expect to get as good a deal from them since your not taking a chance.
I met with craigslist seller @Tmobile so to be sure it was paid off and not blacklisted, just gotta be smart and do things the right way or you will get screwed over on that site

They want the unlocked bootloader of the T-Mobile Note 3 (GSM) for easy rooting and ROM'ing, but want to use it on ATTs more expensive (GSM) network. Has the ATT Note3's bootloader been hacked yet? I don't even know.

BTW NUMBER 1 advantage of T-M here is normal coverage comparing to ATT garbage (even regular signal coverage is extremely weak)! Even with the microcell booster.
