If the problem is just the IMEI you could try to follow the tutorials that let you recover your lost IMEI even in worst conditions. The IMEI is a serial code that is necessary to identificate your phone in the phone network and it's stored in /efs partitition that sometimes get corrupted usually after flash, updates etc...

i hope your problem is solved. but if not, flash a stock firmware like ddjp. or maybe ask one of the experienced developers in this forum.

Samsung seems to killing existing users budget
Vodafone is selling this phone for 4500
and Samsung care wants 4000 for motherboard itself
So if it would be me, I would either upgrade my phone if budget allows or atleast buy another G3 from vodafone @ 4500 INR

I recently bought a Sprint SGSIII from a friend that moved away but it still has service. How do I deactative it? I cant get ahold of him so he can do it. Do is there something I can do it just disable the radio completely because Im only going to use it on Wifi.

you can't deactivate it unless he does it though his sprint account.
if you don't want to use the radio, then i suggest airplane mode, as you would disable it, as well as have wonderful battery life.
If you have all the correct info, you can port the number out.

I will send it back after holidays. it will take 21 working days they say, but I dont know if they will fix it. does the battery even have an warranty?
Under EU laws you have 2 years warranty of the device and 1 year of the accessories (handsfree, batt), BUT since the battery is "integrated" it also has 2 years of warranty. Confirmed by a person who works in a major carrier.

no I dont use while charging alot. but all my phones I did use while charging and no problems. If it is that, its stupid phone, cause its always on the charger( not realy all the time)
