I have installed my first ROM from Paranoid android (link here)
but now I can't use my mobile data (just internet issue)
I have changed to another provider but the issue is still the same
Is there anyone who can help me?
Reflash rom again and then do wipe data/factory reset again

Phone is rooted and s off and has been for a long time running a custom ROM, I've installed this ROM many many times using the same zip and flashed cwm recovery. But now I want to return the phone to a fresh install with no user data I can't! It's probably me not doing something right but I'm sure it's not. When I wipe and install the ROM the old data and installed apps are still there! How can this be?
The phone boots and takes you through first start up pages: uk, google account, wifi etc but when getting to the phone it's how it was before I wiped!
Help?
Probably it syncs most of that data with your Google account.

That's the thing I haven't entered the google account
Try to format your sdcard all over again if you are using Ext partition. What recovery are u using anyway? Might as well reflash the recovery too.
via xda app
Wipe
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition+Darvik Cache) before you start with installing new ROM. Might help ...

One more issue with CWM recovery. Flash 4ext from here:
www.4ext.net
Thanks^. Yep New recovery worked
Some partitions weren't aligned.don't know how they can change one set?
Oh well sorted now
Generally whenever I install a new rom (update or not) I will use the following steps:
download rom / put on sd
Wipe data / factory reset
Wipe dalvik and cache partition
Format System
flash rom
flash gapps
Reboot
This has always worked without fail and in this case it seems to have worked again.
However, I noticed in my settings menu that I no longer have "launcher options" under interface. Has this option been removed from the newest nightly? or has something gone wrong during my flash?
Used:
clockwork-6.0.1.2-d2att
cm-10-20121111-NIGHTLY-d2att
JB-4.2-Gapps-signed.zip
Phone:
Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH 1747
Carrier: Bell
EDIT: Also receiving: Android is upgrading, starting apps on every single reboot. Still loads fine but minor annoyance.
EDIT2: Figured it out, installing the 4.2 gapps was causing all problems. Reverted back to the 4.1.2 gapps and everything is fine. Thread can be closed.
SOLVED!
Could I ask: Did you have to reflash the ROM to fix this? Or just flash an older version of the gapps?
I have the same problem and just got all my apps back ... would rather not have reflash the ROM and then restore everything if I don't have to.

You do not have to wipe data if the rom is the same. Just wipe cache/dalvik and then reflash rom/gapps 4.1.2.
Installing home2launcher will also wipe away your option of launcher under settings. Which is unfortunate.

Hello guys,
I use CM9.0.0-RC2-cryptomilk-alpha7 for about one month and now there's version 9.1 here on XDA. My question is if there's some way to make an upgrade or do I need to reinstall ROM?
I tried to find the answer here on XDA but without success.
thank you so much.
You have to flash the ROM after you download it yo can flash it without wiping data but if you get serious bugs then try a clean flash by doing a factory reset
So that means if I don't wipe the data, all my programs and settings will remain?
I just installed CM11 to my HTC One M8 and the data connection and the wifi keep turning on and off creating a non reliable connection. I've installed gapps and made sure to factory reset through TWRP via wipe. Just came from stock sense rom and made sure to have a backup. What is my problem?
Hello,
I own a Taiwan variant HTC 10 S-Off and flashed with 1.95 EU firmware. Since I wanted to flash the CM builds(multiboot wasnt working for me), I made a backup of data partition and after wiping system and data, I flashed the CM build . Mobile data was working fine on CM but when I flashed back my sense ROM and data, there was no mobile data and it showed a 'disconnected' state. The only way I could get back data was to flash back the 1.95 firmware. Anyone could help why does this happen?
Sorry I can't help
I have the same problem in a HTC desire 530. I flashed a custom TWRP rom and everything works perfect but the mobile data. Please help!!

As our devices are different, so could be the solution.
But if what you're facing is same as me, it was an encryption issue and would go away only if everything (apps+media) was wiped off.
Backup your internal memory (media-photos, videos etc) and apps (using titanium backup or any other of your choice) to a computer
Boot to TWRP
Press format data
Type in 'yes'
Reboot
Mobile data (4g/3g/2g) should be there
HEY! This works perfectly!! ::good: Thank you so much, it was my elderly mom cellphone and I need the root to eliminate all the bloatware that confuse her.
