Odin isn't used with the Nexus. As said above, just flash the factory image provided by Google and then set up your custom ROM again

It's not that Odin isn't used, rather that it is an unsupported, leaked tool, and using it on a Nexus, when fastboot is available on the device, is just plain useless.

As you are getting Galaxy Gio splash screen, its just a soft brick. Make sure you've installed Samsung Kies and make sure its not running in background (Check the Taskbar systray) while you run Odin. Download the firmware from sammobile.com and install as mentioned in Tutorial (You may find it in the Galaxy Gio section)
Dont use the pit its from later galaxy models
Make sure u flash galaxy gio FW and look for the guides in thr GIO section

Soft bricked Gio
I rooted my gio with the gio rooting package and tried to flash cwm recovery. Unfortunatlely I forgot to reset and uncheck re-partition and now my phone gives me the Phone---!----computer logo when I boot. (soft brick I think) Even though I have kies, it now does not recognise my phone, and nor does odin. In addition, I need the 2.3.6 Gingerbread NZ stock rom from 2degrees, yet I cannot find it on any of the sites I visit. I can get into download mode but not recovery... can anyone help? Any help will be appreciated, if it is possible to fix my phone

My phone is now repaired, considering update.zip for 2.3.5. I will like to know if the recovery mentioned above requires a custom kernel- is it necessary? BTW I am not using Rom manager.

Maybe You Have A Hardware (Antenna) Problem, Not A Software (Baseband) Problem
All Custom ROMs Use EXT4 Filesystem
BTW Its AOSP. Not ASOP :silly:

No... There was no water damage, only 1 drop 2 years ago which the phone survived. It was from knee height. I flashed the S5660KKT3 baseband through Odin. Is it the right one? Also, my phone was broken and I got it repaired. when it came back the signal was 5 bars, when I put my SIM card in, but when I installed maclaw's cm9 it was poor. Reboots seem to fix the problem.

GT-N7102 recovery/rom help

hello everyone, i have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II(GT-N7102 Daul sim) that i got from a friend of
mine. im not sure if its a clone or not but im having hard time putting in a custom recovery. the odin
method will not work nor will it go into odin mode and yes ive tried several different ways and it simply
will not work. ive been at this for about a week now.
so my question(s) at this point is:
1. Is there a flash-able recovery zip file that i can install via stock recovery?
2. Is it safe flash a custom recovery using the skipsoft tool kit via sideloader in the stock recovery(ADB)?
or
3. is it safe to install a custom recovery through the Rom Installer App?
morale of the story here folks is i just want put in a custom english rom but i cant do that without a custom recovery. and if anything i just want Gapps to work on my current rom(for now anayways)
also this probably off topic but i would like to know if theres a way to tell if i have a clone or not
your help and wisdom will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!!

I really don't know if there is a conflict updating/upgrading firmware of your grand edition not like a normal edition of grand.
but this is what i know about flashing a stock ROM VIA ODIN.
1. Back up your EFS. Read it here
2. Download you stock ROM (4.2) Here (Select your region)
3. Download Odin 3.0+
4. Boot your phone into Download mode/Odin Mode (VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER KEY)
5. Flashed your Downloaded ROM. (I Assumed that you know how to use ODIN) Note: Keep Odin in default Settings
6. Reboot.
DONE!
Thanks for your help! Yes. I know how to use ODIN. But the Chinese edition no have stock ROM (4.2) It's stock ROM(4.1) only! Just like region"CHU" have 4.1 only. I want 4.2
Can I flash other region? Such as INU.
Thanks!
