For sure you can change the color, even the font you can change, because it's only pngs in framework-res.apk...

[Q] Font Color on Status Bar

Im working on a theme, and i've successfully themed the status bar, but i need to know how to change the color of the font on the status bar and in the drop down menu to black. I can't seem to find what lines to edit in the status_bar.xml using my hex editor. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks.
Go check out the vibrant themes section.. I have a sticky for metamorph.. There is a tutorial how to manually change xmls for font color...
I'm going to tell you u couldn't get the clock to change in the vibrant.. i could change the date but not the clock.. We have actually changed everything but the time...
Tmo did something with our framework so it may just be the vibrant but idk...
God luck..any questions pm me

Cm7 transparent and semi transparent statusbar for galaxy gio

I will share galaxy Gio SystemUI with transparent and semi transparent statusbar, without any patch , just rename the file to be SystemUI.apk, push to system/app, and you can use root eksplorer set permissions to rw-r-r and root-root for owner and than reboot.
If you like my work, hit thanks buttons
NB: - In ADW, go to ADW settings and uncheck wallpaper hack
- It's not appear in theme that use backgraund Statusbar
- I has changes in SystemUI, you can check out
Is the clock in the center? Or just on the right where it belongs. .
[edit]
Clock is centered, but so is the date. So it looks fine.
But it's not transparent. Same problem I had with all the other files. It must be the theme I am using (ice10ni1c.apk). In other themes it is transparent.
Too bad. I love ICS theme, but would love to have a transparent bar.

Default tramsparent NOT TESTED but you can try and add screenshot clock in right side

No I didn't forgot about that. Wich I share is original CM7 Gio SystemUI with transparent statusbar, so then it's up to app, launcher and theme that has been apply, or would want to remain transparent in the cover by wich the apply. Correct me if I'm wrong

problem
I've downloaded and replaced the SystemUI.apk from Cy4noobsMod-7.1.3.1 ROM with the Cm7 semi transparent statusbar for galaxy gio
the problem is that the notification bar disappeared completely from the phone's screen.
i have the original kit of the Cy4noobsMod-7.1.3.1 ROM on my sd card and i extracted the SystemUI.apk file and replaced the semitransparent one that i have previously copied to system/app . i have rebooted the phone, but no luck, the notification bar is still missing.
any suggestions and ideas are welcomed

I was suggested to use the original CM7 rom first
Love the semi-transparent version. However I prefer the digital clock to be completely white, that makes it easier to look

Date and clock are not image based so you won't find them. Signal bars should be in systemui.

i havent themed ICS yet, but if they are in the same place as gingerbread this thread might help --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831715
that was from this time last year when a few of us were figuring out where everything was in gingerbread
I may as well help you out as I've themed the whole of ICS and know it pretty much inside out...
The clock and the date in the dropdown are linked to one color in an XML. If you decompile your framework-res.apk go to res\values\colors.xml. change the following "Holo_Blue_Light" to whatever color you want, this will change the clock and the date color. The blue line you are referring to is in the systemUI, in the drawable-xhdpi folder. The image is named "Statusbar_hr.9.png" as its a .9.png I'd be careful editing it.
I hope this helps.

Delete the clock from the lock screen, like when you delete a widget from the lock screen. Then, add the clock widget to the lockscreen again and you will have your clock centered.

Manually icons?

Is there a simple way to manually change icons? Not just for homescreen but in the app drawer as well
I don't understand you

Install a 3rd party launcher like Nova. It'll change the icons on your home screen as well as the app drawer. That's after you download and apply icon pack.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=en Icon Changer? Idk Ive never used it.
Also I know theres some Icon packages by Black Bear Blanc over in his thread that Themes EVERY icon, no matter what it is.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804627
or look at the icons here on his playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Black+Bear+Blanc
Personally, If I ever feel the need to really change an icon, Ill photoshop it myself and replace it in the res folder of the app and re-install.

Well then there is no easy way to do it. You'll have to do what the guy above me said.

That icon changer app only changes the homescreen icon
So unzip the apps apk with 7zip then replace the icon file in the res folder? I might be able to do that.
I had a Meego Icon pack once that I could just add icons using a template from Nokia. It was packed as an apk so I could just add icons using 7zip and install it.
Do you know where icon pack apks are located? Maybe if I can pull it off the phone then I can add icons to the icon pack
If you're using a launcher like apex or nova you can change the icon and name by holding down the app icon and choosing edit
If that's not what you want then use the icon changer app above
