Is there a bumper case for the S3 that just goes around the phone with nothing on the back of it?
I got a couple off of ebay/amazon and they all have something on the back and it interferes with the charging.
I am looking for something that is like a rubber band sort of thing.
Like so: http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Black-TPU-Silicone-Bumper-Frame-Case-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-S-III-3-i9300-/170916004097?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27cb634101 ?

I just sold my HTC EVO 4G for almost $200 dollars (launch day phone) on eBay!
Going to use some of that money to buy some accessories. I've already ordered 3 spare batteries and a wall charger.
I'm looking for a good style'ish case. I'm thinking the Case-Mate barely there aluminum case. How easy do these come on and off if I want to swap batteries OR use it with the Samsung factory card dock?
Which brings up the car dock, how are you guys/gals who have those liking them? I miss having a Garmin GPS, thinking about buying the OEM Samsung dock. I think the screen on my Epic Touch 4G is actually bigger then my GPS anyway! Might make a good in-car GPS unit.
Anyway I mostly want to know about the Case-Mate case, thanks!
Oh, and does anyone have any GOOD pictures of the Case-Mate installed?
im also tempted to get this case, anybody have it already?
I strongly suggest the steinheil ultra crystal screen protector, the matte black tpu case (or smoke grey) and the samsung branded stand/dock that charges a spare battery (and comes with a stock samsung battery as well) for home or office use. I have seen the case mate and IMO it is bulky compared to the tpu - it also weighs more.
The Phone, with the tpu case on, still sits in the samsung home dock perfectly, so no need to take it off to rest the phone there, and if you want to charge the phone and the battery at the same time put the phone in horizontally, and plug a spare (or the stock charger) charger into the phone. Horizontally obviously so you have access to the charging port...

I agree. I have a matte black (matte b/c glossy will show prints and smudges) tpu case that cost $10 incl. shipping. Easy and quick to put on/take off. Plus it won't scratch the phone since it's not hard plastic. OEM cardock is a def. recommended. Had one with my old SGS4G, super conventient especially w/ CarHome Ultra, PowerAmp, and Vlingo/Google Voice Search.**** CHEAPEST place I've found the car mount and desktop dock for $75 combined was @ this site: thecellguru.com/Phones/Samsung/Epic_4G_Touch
How multiple battery friendly is the TPU case? I have 4 batteries. I want to be able to swap them as needed.
Will the TPU case hold up to being removed and put back on a lot like the Case-Mate will? Also, what is the TPU case covered with? I have a slip on silicone case for my phone now and it SUCKS. Everything sticks to it. Lint, hair, dust, dirt, seamen, sand, you name it, it sticks! =D
I sorta liked the idea of the Case-Mate because I was hoping stuff wouldn't stick. I know nothing of the TPU case but it does look like a case Sprint stocks locally. They had this case that said TC on the back of it at a local 3rd party Sprint store.
Do they exist? I have the incipio case Verizon sells and I loved it until I found out about the prongs. Now it seems like a pain.

TPU case has hole for prongs.
I'm not too sure if it's a good idea, even if these case have cut outs for the pogo pin, will these stands or connectors allow you to have the case on whiles connected up, cases are available in all sizes, to have a stand to accept the case, thats going to be a problem, and if someone decides to use the stand without a case, it will be loose.
I had an otterbox commuter since I bought my Atrix, but after getting a couple of docks I jettisoned it. Well last weekend I smashed it to pieces, so for it's replacement I was determined to get the docks and the case to play nice.
I was shocked at how easy it really was. First remove the dock insert, then on the silicone under-layer of the case, simply cut off the plug covers and the phone plugs right into the dock without any hassle.
But I wasn't done, in that configuration the whole phone is basically supported by the usb port. An accidental bump or nudge could render the phone nonchargeable- no good. So I set to work with an exacto knife trimming out the dock insert until it was just right to provide support to the back of the case, broke out a little sand paper to smooth out the roughest portions, and presto! Pics below.
Oh yeah, before anyone brings it up, I'll be seeing what I can do about the car dock next.
Any idea if the defender could work

I've never actually put hands on the defender, so I don't know how much chunkier it is than the commuter. It looks like the defender layers are reversed; the hard candy shell inside, and the rubber around that? Try putting the case in the dock without the insert, and without the rubber wrapper, and see if the usb plug reaches the phone. If so, it may be worth trying cutting the port plugs off. Otherwise, it depends how hands on you want to get with removing more from the dock than just the insert. But the standard docks are $15 on amazon, so if you hack it all up to pieces and it doesn't work, you've not lost too much in the name of science.
As it happens, I took my dremmel to my car dock last night and it was promising at first, but by the time I got enough material removed for the phone to sit in the dock with the case on, it was being held less snugly than it is in my standard dock, and I hadn't even worked out how to get the usb plug to line up right. [sour grapes] I hate the car dock launcher interface anyways, so I'm just going to buy a second standard dock and mount it to my dashboard.
Ummm....if that's an Otterbox Commuter on your phone in those pics...it don't look nothin' like the two I have or the one's on Otterbox's website.

Don't know whose website you're visiting, but the commuter case is as shown below. The first pic in op was just the gooey center so you could see where the cut was made. From the front you can't see much of the hard candy coating anyhow, but it was there....
In that first pic, it looks like there's a different plastic shell on the front side. I see it now though. Sorry 'bout that.
Hey guys,
I use the Qi charging technology with my GT-I9295, but now I got a case and the result of the charging is not perfect after all.
The distance is a bit too far away to get a proper, stable signal.
Is there any Bumper available, maybe out of silicone, which just goes around the edges?
How do you handle the Qi-charging, when using an extra case?
Edit: I use this one here http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00LTZ6JJQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
How did you get QI charging for GS4A? Was it one of the cards that fit under the back cover, or a separate back cover?
Hi!
I'm looking for a case without cutouts for the flaps, only for the magnetic charger.
Does anyone know where to find these?
Thanks!
The cruzalite bugdroid cases do not have the port cuttouts i think.

Like someone else mentioned the Cruzerlite case which is available on their website or on Amazon.
The RhinoShield bumper will also have the flaps covered if they get enough Pre-orders to produce it. http://www.evolutivelabs.com/pages/crashguard-sony-z3-compact

I, too, am looking for a similar case. I'd like something like the Incipio Dual Pro that leaves open only the headphone jack and the magnetic charging port. It just seems to me that leaving open the area surrounding the USB port and microSD card slot just wouldn't be good for overall protection. Bumpers also don't protect the rear of the phone, just the edges. I guess that basically leaves me with the Cruzerlite...
Exactly, I think we need to wait a little bit longer for more cases like this, unless someone has a good suggestion ofcourse.
I'm also looking for this, since my wifes microsd and USB port flap will come open up by itself many times in a day.
I would give great money for the Puro covering all flaps. Best so far. But unable to make contact with them.
I would like to buy a cruzerlite, but I hate the design on the back. Would love to find a similar one that's just plain.
Biggest issue of the cruzerlite is it's off the best screen protectors. Personally I also don't like the finish of the sides. Feels cheap.
Yeah the cruizerlite looks like a good case, but it is a little bit translucent right? Don't like that..
The magnetic charger is such an easy method to charge your phone without pulling the flap.
It is a little bit of a hassle in the beginning but you'll get used to it!
I also pre ordered the Rhinoshield. I hope they get enough pre orders because that's gonne be one badass case for our Z3C:good:
The black CruzerLite Bugdroid case is opaque.
Like others, I wish it didn't have the goofy design on it, but otherwise it seems nice. I'd rather have it cover the buttons, though, because the tiny isthmus of TPU between the power and volume buttons looks horrible (like it isn't fused into one piece right there). Otherwise, it's a decent case.
Do you guys know of any new cases that came out without flap cutouts? I'd buy the Bugdroid case but the design is bugging me too much...
It's a pity the RhinoShield didn't get produced in the end...
