I just got the AT&T compatible SIM from Straight talk for my international GN2, and configured APN as instructed:
Settings
NAME:Straight Talk
APN:att.mvno
PROXYroxy.mvno.tracfone.com
PORT:80
USER NAME:not set
PASSWORD:not set
SERVER:not set
MMSC: (not yet able to post a link, but I got this right)
MMS PROXY:66.209.11.33
MMS PORT:80
MMC:310
MNC:410
AUTHENTICATION TYPE: none
APN TYPE: internet+MMS
APN PROTOCOL IPv4
ENABLE/DISABLE APN: apn enabled
BEARER: unspecified.
I can call/text, and receive call/text with no problem, but I am not getting any Mobile data whatsoever, and I can't send pic text as well.
I've tried restart the phone.
Anyone know what might be going on with my phone?
Double check that you have all settings correct and delete any old apns. For mms I've heard it's sometimes necessary to make two apns.

I think you might be right. I insert the sim to my old att iPhone 4 and changed the VAN setting.
I have the 3G symbol beside signal bars, but when I opened up browser, a message says you are not subscribed to any mobile data service.
I am going to call ST to figure out whats going on.
Thank you very much.

One thing I did that worked for me was use GOSMS Pro from the Android Market. My preferred SMS app anyway, and went into the settings and found the APN option in there:
Menu > Settings > Advanced (tab) > MMS Settings > APN configuration. Checked Fill APN configuration manually, then set the following:
MMSC: http://mms.mycricket.com/mycricket/mms.php or http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: wap.mycricket.com
MMS Port: 8080
Worked fine for me.
Note: This was when I had my Evo on cricket around 2 months ago, now I have one on Sprint. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents. :]
i cant send or recieve pics on my phone.... it says server responce error

So for about a month now I have not been able to either send or receive pic messages. I know it is not just device related because it started with my nexus s, and has persisted since I got my galaxy nexus. Rogers says that they have done everything on their end, and even went so far as to send me an automated voicemail saying that the issue had been resolved.
My only guess would be that both of these phones were originally from the Fido network. However my nexus s functioned completely normally for a year before the issue began. And also, all other data related functions work appropriately. I thought perhaps it was ROM related so I tried another. Still no luck. Currently using CM9. If anyone has had a similar issue in the past and could give me some advice, our even a point in the right direction I would sincerely appreciate it.

I'll post in the morning. But I doubled checked them with Rogers directly. I'm positive they're correct. Will post either way.

You should have one called Rogers with the following settings:
APN: rogers-core-appl1.apn
MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 720
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4
Everything else in there should be not set.

According to Net10 themselves, the following is the APN you would use if you wanted to connect to Net10 via the AT&T network:
* Name: Straight Talk (or NET10)
* APN: att.mvno
* Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
* Port: 80
* User name: leave this field blank
* Password: leave this field blank
* Server: leave this field blank
* MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
* MMS proxy: mms2.tracfone.com
* MMS port: 80

sorry...i need the APN settings for MMS to work..i have internet and data connection but i cannot get MMS to work..i tried multiple APN settings from net10 and nothing works...i called net10 and the customer service rep told me if i unlocked my phone it should work..but i dont see why that would be necessary if its a ATT compatible SIM from net10..

Hey try this. I had the same problem.
Apn name-NET10
Apn- tfdata
MMSC-http://mms-tf.net
Mms proxy-mms3.tracfone.com
Mms port-80
Everything else blank. It didnt work at first but after a clean install of a new rom it worked . But Tw and Aosp
Also if you are using something like GoSMS make sure you try to set it manually through GoSMS. I've had phones/ROMs where it wouldn't read the APN settings automatically from the system settings but works fine if you set it manually in the app settings.

Use the apn i posted it a few post up. It didnt work for me untill i flashed a new rom. I got it working on My wifes Tmo S3 and my at&t note 2. 4g data and mms.
Good luck with that. Net10 customer service sucks a big donkey butt but they all do, not their fault though, tends to happen when you just throw people at a phone and call it a fix. If you don't get routed to the prerequisite AT&T data usage support number the folks you end up talking to have no idea how to trouble shoot anything, they do well to get your phone number right. I just had a question as to why, after having been paid up a week, my data was still disabled. I made the mistake of asking if the APN info at the net10sim site was still current and poof I was transferred to some poor woman who had problems hearing anything. I know all about outsourced tech support via past experience with Google Tech so I understand most folks want to do a good job but may not have the neccesary information or tools (or language skills). Comes down to when you pay for something you expect it to work as described or you switch service ... usually to find the new one stinks as well. Ha!

Probably cuz that was a TW Rom!!
And you've flashed something that doesn't always play well with signal. Meaning AOSP Rom's that is!!
If unhappy then restore what made you happy like most of us do when we try something and don't like it!!
That's what a back up is FOR!
Just my 2¢®
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I'm more than happy with this ROM and of course I've made a back up, it's more wondering if anyone has found a fix or a solution to the problem. You just gave a solid rant with no help what so ever haha as Ace Ventura said "Well, thanks for nothing". I've tried searching for a solution but have had no luck why I put the question up.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
I've messaged the ROM developer or at least I believe its the developer hah and hopefully it will be worked out upcoming updates. H+ isn't the fastest but it is do able and the TouchWiz got old for me and more fun stuff for AOSP
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
APN settings ???
Modem Problem ???
And please. ..if you are really gonna play the "thanks for nothing" card...
Your likelihood of a solution drops to just about zero around here. ..
We're trying to help you. ..but since we don't have your device to look at...or at least an accurate description of your settings. ..then it's clearly a difficult task to find the problem. .
And if you chastise us for the attempt to help. ..then crickets are the only sound you'll hear. ..
Good luck in your search. ..g

Wasn't trying to be a **** it was funny from the movie. I've entered the APN Settings it gives 2 I enter them and only one appears in the listing of APN's, the settings are:
These steps outline how to correctly enter the APN(s) into an Android OS device (these steps are general guidance and as such may not exactly resemble every Android device menu options).
Note that when entering the APN(s) into an Android device, you are encouraged to create two APN profiles to help ensure that data will function while roaming.
From the Home Screen:
Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Menu > New APN
First APN Profile

APN: sp.mts

MMS Port: 9401
MCC: Should be auto set to 302
MNC: Should be auto set to 660
Authentication type: Not Set
APN: Not Set
Tap Menu > Save.
Tap Menu > New APN (proceed to entering second APN profile).
Second APN Profile
Name: MTS
APN: sp.mts

MMSC: http://mmsc2.mts.net/

Haven't found a modem for MTS and not sure which would be compatible ?
