Tweaks Help

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (from Rogers) (SGH-I317M) on 4.1.2. It's a stock ROM.
Rooted with SuperSU.
I am looking to change a few things. I would like my status bar to be transparent, I would like the home button to not turn on the screen. I have seen those done but I am not sure where to begin and if they work on my version of the Note 2.
I don't want to use a custom ROM. I like how my phone is now, just those few things. Help?

Stock ROMS are more difficult to theme because they are odexed. If you want to theme things like the notification bar, you should consider flashing a ROM that is de-odexed. Most modified and costom ROMs are de-odexed. There are a lot of ROMs out there and it took me a long time to learn to navigate through them all. For a good beginner ROM I would suggest trying Skynote or Jedi X15. These ROMs were build by recognized developers and have a high level of maturity. If you want performance, Jedi X15 is hard to beat. Skynote is very smooth and stable and has less bells and whissles (which sometimes confuse those new to the modified ROM world. Both of these ROMs are considered "modified" because they are based of the stock ROM. Later, you may want to venture into the "custom ROM" arena. Custom ROMs come with much more in regards to features, battery life, and performance. However, navigating the custom choices can be a little bit of a challenge for someone new to the market, but the custom ROMs offer so much more than the modified ROMs.

[Q] How to change default Touchwiz System Sound?

Hey Guys,
Im sure this sort of question has come up before but I cant, for the love of God, seem to find it anywhere for the Note 2. Im currently running Alliance ROM stock based and I would like to have the system sounds of the Android Stock as I find the default ones unprofessional/kirf like. What I did find was flash-able mods for the Tab 2 but I wouldnt want to flash that on the Note 2 as Im not sure it would work. If anyone can point me to the right thread id really appreciate it.

[Q] Galaxy Fame responds very slow needs a downgrade

Hi All,
My Galaxy Fame GT-S6812 is responding very slow even with minimum apps installed. It takes lot of time to load basic apps like Messaging, Contacts.
The android version is 4.1.2, i think is slowing down the device along with the touch wiz UI.
Please let me know is there any way I can get rid of all samsung default utilities like touch wiz ui etc.
Kindly let me know the steps in detail as I am new to rooting devices and installing custom ROM.
Thanks in Advance
This phone have a NICE Hardware but the TouchWiz sucks the phone... that's it... about custom rom's there is two roms (TECNO ROM and UltraDroidRom) but when i install my sim won't work...

S5 Apps on N7105 CM Based Rom

Hi All,
I absolutely love the s5 feel (when I wrongly flashed DN3 rom for n7100 to my n7105). Just wondering if I can flash those apps on a CM based rom. I dont need additional features like spen apps. I just want the notification bar, notification drawer, messaging, launcher, contacts and phone apps. Thanks for the response.

No. Best you can do is use the inbuilt theme function and load a S5 or touchwiz theme.

Mind pointing me to where I can find these themes? Im using CM Burst Kernel Kang, BTW, not the official CM11. +Thanks!
you'd probably be best off going back to touchwiz for features and the look! touchwiz themes for aosp don't quite cut it

By the way, what happened when you flashed N7100 rom on your N7105?

It booted, and appeared working fine. I only noticed it was the wrong rom when I tried to send a text message, then found in my settings that the device name is N7100 and I have no baseband. I didnt get to test it thoroughly though coz I flashed back right away since I really needed to send a text message.
