What's new?
Precision molded
New unique, custom made, one piece proprietary cable for wired play
Smooth edges to prevent finger irritation
Holes in the back to allow sound from the speaker to escape when oriented with the button to the right
New more durable, permanent foam cushioning at the contact points
New more affordable shipping options
The wired version is now $19.95 instead of $23. Best of all, there are now new more affordable shipping options for both domestic and international customers! The new GameKlip™ is in stock now and ready for immediate shipment!
For those of you who aren't familiar with the GameKlip™, the GameKlip™ mounts your phone on to a DualShock3 controller for a full sized gaming experience. I've always loved playing games on my smartphones, but on screen controls were always frustrating. When I discovered the Sixaxis App, and native USB host and controller compatibility with the SIII, I had to figure out a good way to attach my phone to the controller. I came up with the GameKlip™.
I'm a university student and long time XDA member. I'm happy to answer any questions!
Thank you to everyone who's supported the GameKlip™! Without the great community here at XDA, the GameKlip™ would never have made it this far. Thank you!
The new GameKlip is $14.95 for the "wireless" option and $19.95 for the wired option. More information and ordering is available at http://thegameklip.com

The universal mounter is a great idea and I think I'll get atleast one. Just wondering is the gameklip tablet for nexus 7 still been made or can the universal mounter be used for nexus 7?

Thank you! The CaseMount GameKlip was designed for the weight distribution of a phone, but it can hold a Nexus 7 if you don't go too wild It's just a little top heavy. I would recommend sticking it as far in as your comfortable so it centers the weight closer to your hands.

Thanks for replying, I guess I'll give it a try on the nexus 7 or one of my other devices atleast. So I am guessing the gameklip tablet is no longer been made?

Yeah!
Looks like I'm adding another gameklip to the household! Loved the first one, so glad to see the improvements for the second! Great job man!
Edit, I actually bought 2, one universal for my nexus 7 and one for my gs3.

Yes! Any TPU case should work just fine

Just ordered my first GameKlip. I rigged one myself last night with a mixture of zipties and other things lying around. It worked but when I decided to jump on my PS3 I had to break out some scissors. Broke down and had to get me one.

Can this be used if your phone has a case? Mainly for slim cases?

So I'm assuming you get the wireless one if you're rooted and the wired one if you aren't?

Unique accesory for cooling down your phone or yourself

I noticed the other day when I was playing n64oid and fpse with sixaxis contoller app using MHL to HD adpater. Since the phone is charging and displaying on the tv as well as running 2 apps it gets pretty hot.
So I started looking for a portable fan that i could set behind my phone why using the kickstand on the case to blow some cool air on it. As well as keep me cool
I finally found the smallest fan ever and has really good reviews.
(click picture for where to buy)
I will update this with how it works when I get it...if it doesn't work that well then I will still use it as a portable fan.
Yes I know you can underclock but you don't want to when you are playing emulators that need lots of power!!!
Yes you can kill apps but never liked doing that....
Just thought I share in case someone had the same thought I did.
I don't think a tiny little fan could really cool down your phone too much, nor keep you cool.

Plus if it doesn't work i will just return it and get my money back
Haha, people will make anything to make a buck or two. If my phone begins to get a bit toasty, I usually just take it out of the case and lay it on a cool surface for a bit. That seems to do the trick and it's free, lol.

Should make one
Sent From My Sprint Black Ice Galaxy Nexus
I found a flat heatsink that could possibly be made into a back cover, but we would ideally still need some way to solidly connect it to the hot parts of the SoC. It would involve breaching the plastic "firewall" of the housing, and replacing it with a short section of copper plate (i.e. a penny). Using a little thermal compound would make it even more effective at removing heat.
Can you picture this with a cutout for the camera pod?
On the liquid cooling front, I found some USB powered water pumps and cooling block.... If your Gnex is getting this hot, you might have a problem.
Hold the phone! This is much closer to the size we need. Peltier coolers work on thermocouple effect. It might use a little power, but will actually reduce temperature on one side, by a few degrees!
You could buy a mini fridge, then drill a hole in the front for wires:silly:
You can then also have cold drinks whilst playing your n64 games

This is pretty awesome. I don't have a PS controller though - any ideas on where to get one for a good price? Also, when will you start producing / shipping these?
Looks really cool, but like every one else is asking, I need to know if it will work with a case (TPU to be exact).
Also, you should Kickstarter this!
I have designed them to fit an uncased phone, but it may very tightly with a super thin case. The one I molded to the naked E4GT "fits" with the incipio feather case in it as well. If you're really attached to a case, measure the dimensions and choose the "custom" option at checkout. I would recommend playing uncased though. It's very secure. I've had no issues playing with mine!
The triangle button is fully functional, but on the larger phones like the S3 I moved everything up a little to make some more room. I also made the tabs a little longer to accommodate for the curve at the bottom of the S3.
The best place to buy a ps3 controller is probably in store somewhere. I bought via an amazon seller, for only a few bucks off, and got burned. Check out my counterfeit comparison http://imgur.com/a/ZNZkj . Scary stuff!
Edit: oops, I forgot to say I put two-three weeks till ship on my site to be safe, but I'm hoping I can get them out sooner! I'm waiting on my plastic fabricator at the moment.

Maybe in the future you can make a case for the phone with two holes or sockets the click into the mount. And that can solve the case problem and perhaps increase sales.

Dude, post this on reddit.

They would love this sort of thing. Guys have been hand making their own mounts out of random crap for the past few weeks.
Taking the case off is a huge annoyance for us that have 2-3 piece cases such as the trident aegis. How much more are the customs and how much longer would they take to be made?
And an alternative I've seen to kickstarter is quirky.com not exactly sure how they work though.

I'm not charging anything more for the customs right now, and it won't take any longer than the others. I'm not sure if I'll be able to offer a custom dimension option in the future though, I was hoping to establish a better list of devices by offering customs during the pre-order stage. just make sure you measure as accurately as you can. If the dimensions are too big for my mold, I'll happily refund you
hmm i like the idea of this. I dont have a ps3 controller right now but would love to be able to play emulators on my android with a controller and could use the ps3 controller to control my media center computer as well.. might have to buy one of these in the future.

Premium Tablet "Bags"

Hey guys..
Been looking around for a while now, and I'm trying to see if I can find anything like a "messenger bag" but for tablets or specifically for the Nexus 7. Here's one example i found:
http://www.sfbags.com/products/muzetto-outback/muzetto-outback.php
But I'm not quite sure I like the design of that one much. Does anyone know of any other bags like this for carrying around my Nexus 7 and other things?

I had been considering a bag just for my N7 but i also carry a 13.3 zenbook around sometimes so having a separate bag might be overkill. I see here that you were looking at a vertical bag in the 10 inch size for ipads. I have an STM Scout 2 that i used with my Asus TF101+keyboard dock that i'm quite fond of. It seems STM has a newer bag with more pockets:
STM Linear Bag
Maybe that might be a more fitting design. I find that around these sizes is the smallest you can get without looking a bit silly.

Think of it as you will...But I do not currently have any "bags" to place my Tablet in. I've never owned a tablet before, nor do I use any laptops. Usually it just carries my lunch and the emergency field gear.
Looking into a Plan B from Hazard 4:
Swissgear Vertical Travel Bag
I use the SwissGear Vertical Travel Bag. I don't know if Target still carries them or not, but this is a great bag. You will want a case on your N7 as it does not have much padding. I can just fit my Asus Tf300T with a case and my N7 in this bag with several accessories. I bought it a few years ago, so it may be hard to find.

Etsy Pouches

For my previous tablet and phone ownerships I've always opted to go for cases in order to protect my devices. For my previous Xoom i went with the bulky otterbox and for the nexus 4 I went with the Acase Superlaggera.
For the nexus 7 I wanted to go with something lighter and less bulky. I decided to just go with a Spigen screen protector for the tablet itself and to get a leather pouch. I began looking at puches on etsy. These are the ones that I was looking at:

They looked nice but were ultimately too expensive. I decided to buy the following one:

The shipping was really fast. The pouch protects the device pretty well and holds the tablet snuggly. It has some sort of felt material for the inner part of the pouch. The only negative I've experienced is that the leather is easy to mark but I guess it gives the pouch character.

Hii
Well I did not like it that much the inner material does not look quite good one and even as you said the leather on it also gets easily marked..and I checked it its of $ 40...I would say its quite expensive one as on behalf of its quality....well rather than going with this one I would like to prefer again the same , this portfolio case as I got the same kind of one for my S4...its worth of cost and even good of quality too...
Dont Mind if you didnt like my review, its just my personal opinion..
Thanks !!!

You made valid points. It can be considered pricey. I do like that portfolio case you linked there.

That one looks pretty cool. Like the color options. I've only ordered from etsy twice and haven't had an issue yet.

I ordered that same pouch, but without the logo. Dark gray denim with green inside. Excited to see the quality of the pouch.
I never even thought to look at etsy for cases until I saw this thread. So thanks for the all of the great links!

yeah I also went without the logo. Red inside (GO TERPS) for me, but I went no logo becuase I read that it was 'painted on' and if I'm spending more $$ I was expecting sewn in, so it wasnt worth it. Quality actually looks really good from online though. Should be in in about 2-4 weeks so we'll see
