Games - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I would love to start a thread about games:
Please list your favorite game (paid or free) to use on your GS3. I personally find it hard to find a good game that I like for the mobile platform...but recently downloaded Air Barrage and fell in love with it! It reminds of the old school game Raiden Project for PlayStation.
Maybe readers of this forum would find similar types of suggestions for new games to play.

Hill climb racing
Play store - free
Just a really simple time waster that is a lot of fun.

I install most games on my Fire (big screen and all) but these are the games currently on my phone:
Clear Vision
Hill Climb
Nun Attack
Offworld
Road Trip 2
Star Pagga
Zenonia 5
ClayJam
Stickman Free
Still evaluating most, but that's a good list to start with, beyond the obvious Angry Birds and whatever other games everyone else has.

Subway surfer
Apple just give up the IPHONE sucks deal with it.

I have a TON of games installed, but I wind up playing a very small number most of the time:
* Plants Vs. Zombies - Always fun
* Plague - Once you beat it you're kinda done with it, but getting there is fun
* Clear Vision - Very funny game, although the gameplay, while not bad, is really nothing to write home about
* Cut The Rope - Om Nom FTW!
* PBA Bowling - Good for a quick game
* Virtua Tennis - Great replay value
* Riptide GP - Fun, and also a good tech demo for people ogling your phone
* Fruit Ninja - Best replay value of the bunch IMO, always trying to beat my high score
Oh, and Engineer by Etherient is really good... written by some guy that hangs around here sometimes

Hahah like I've said before emulation is garbage. REAL GBA AND GAMEGEAR!!!
I can't imagine playing a real gameboy with my thumbs on the screen blocking my view. Bluetooth controllers on a small screen sucks. If I want to play GBA on a tv ill hook up my GameCube with the gameboy player.
Idk I really loathe emulation. It's never 100% accurate and the experience isn't the same as the real thing.

Clear vision is really fun...but the lite version is a tease. Anyone know where I can get the full game for free?

Eufloria, got it from the last Android Humble Bundle (#4 I think)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eufloria
I don't really like RTS games, but I like this.
Taxed my OG EVO 4G, but runs nicely on my new Galaxy S3.

Pretty sure that'd be considered warez and therefore not cool. Show the dev some respect and buy the game...its definitely worth it.

The only one I use that works good is FPSE and you have to hunt down sites that have the game ROMs to load. If you google it there are tons of sites and videos to help you out.
If you want to try PSXdroid here is a help page but I found it hard to get going. But this list sites with ROMs:
http://psx4droid.webs.com/psx4droidsetuphelp.htm
I haven't tried all the emulators, but I have gotten reliable use out of GBCoid and SNESoid. The makers have a N64 emulator, namely N64oid, but I can't enjoy the controls with 3D games as much as I want, plus alot of bugs with games spread out. These emulators can be found in SlideMe, just search for the emulators. Old emulators are free, but the N64 emulator will cost you.
As for a place to find ROMs, there are alot, but I personally use coolrom.com.

Kenny I love you so much right now. Despite I'm sure FPSE being common knowledge I've only now experienced how fantastic it is. PSX4droid be damned.
I was looking into all that and I'm having trouble trying to use a game once I downloaded it. I don't know I think I'm doing something wrong. For instance I downloaded the free playstation emulator I think it was psxdroid player lite and I downloaded the bios file needed and then I downloaded mortal combat game but it was a rar file. That's about as far as I got.

Agreed.
PSX: If any of you were into the Digimon scene when you were a child give Digimon Digital Card Battle a look see. Perfect for the epic and is one of the most practical card games ever devised. Why it never caught on is beyond me.
Digimon Rumble Arena was great too. If you like Super Smash Bros-style game play.
Same with Gundam Battle Assault 2 if you were into Gundam and like fighting games.
The main factor which caused me to get my moment= Gameboid XD and for the record n64oid is amazing, the joystick control is top notch though compatibility is a thing that could use work, I'm halfway through ocarina of time n at the end of the first dungeon in Majora's Mask

Emulators are fun
It's fun to enjoy a game every now and then on your Epic, but man it sure does kill the battery, it's more reasonable to play on a Custom Firmware PSP. If you do have one, I recommend the N64 Emulator I gave birth to on there. Yup, that's me

No, I didn't make the N64 Emulator for Android Devices, before it was out, my plan was to work on it and make money off of a licence key of it with limited functionality in the "lite" version. Though another dev beat me to it, and was more knowledgable than I, I knew what was needed, but he was one step ahead of me on resources, the port on of N64 on Android is a Mupenport, whilist mine was going to be from scratch, with scrapes of mupen for linux such as the armv7 interpreter. Anyway. No I sparked life on the N64 Emulator for the Playstation Portable, I began work, and a team of dedicated people came to me and took chunks of outdated original code and got it working better than ever. I was but a spark with minor contributions, had I never sparked it though, Nintendo64 on PSP would of never become what it is today.
And Marcusant, there's more than one route, with the easiest being a hacked battery, I originally hacked mine my sophomore year of highschool a looooong time ago with a save-exploit on the unpatched UMD of GTA for PSP. There are other save exploits, but it does get slightly tougher the newer your firmware. It's come to the point to where you can use what they call "HEN" Homebrew Enabler which runs on official firmware. You should def give Daedalusx64 a try.

It is way easier to put cfw on a psp now. There is no need for a pandora battery or game save hacks. I know sony just came out with an update for the psp firmware on Tuesday, but any build before that takes a matter of minutes to hack. I just set up my slim 3000 a few weeks ago. It gave me a reason to pick it back up after sitting around for so long. And yeah, the psp is WAY more practical to get my retro gaming fix. Wii is pretty easy to crack these days too.
Edit: check out this site for info http://pspslimhacks.com/
It works on all models, including the fat ones, but do your reading to see what method works for yours.

I used to use FPSEce on Windows Mobile on a Touch Pro and got 45-50 fps. The emulator is very well coded and it was ported over by the original developer, which helps. Once my new phone arrives in a couple days I'm going to have to give it a try. It's just too bad that I'll have to buy it again (I paid for the development releases of it on WinMo).

Backstab.
THIS. IS. NEXUS.
In the past I had not been able to download Backstab because it said it was incompatible with the Nexus 7. A few days ago after a complete wipe and fresh ROM load, I was actually able to download it from the Play store, download all the assets and played the game for a few mins. However a few days later I fired up the game and it said it was not compatible with my device and would just exit. Anyone else have this issue or a work around?

it's compatible. you might get otherwise if u just upgraded through OTA or u live outside where it can be purchased from, but in general, it's compatible with Nexus 7.
that aside, the game is rather crappy lol

I always get a little paranoid with games like these that require permissions like reading my phone state, etc. Why is that necessary? I guess that's the tradeoff for it being free.
It's a great game and runs actually better than the first, but need a sensitivity option in setting like the old Temple Run.

Negative. I have a game on my phone (Canabalt HD) that one of their only permissions is to modify SD storage and network access for high scores, I'm guessing. I get phone calls while I'm playing just fine and the game pauses and everything. Reading phone state, location based information is definitely there unnecessarily. Maybe they just want to sell information like Facebook, etc. but I'd rather not feel like my phone number/location is being used.
