Its a samsung thing sometimes it happens sometimes it doesnt
I've noticed that this is happening when I get a photo in an MMS from my SO, who is using an iPhone. Any chance it's related to that?

Seemingly randomly, not very frequently but enough to bother me, my messaging app will bug out and everything on the main screen will double. It's as if the app freezes but then I am able to scroll over the names that have frozen into the background. I am on macks rom but this has occurred with other stock roms before, don't remember if ever before actually rooting my phone. I'm about to give the aosp messaging app a shot anyway now but was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this as well?
I decided to white out my buddies in case u creeps try stalking them!

Dammmnnn never seen that what you do?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
I don't really do anything it just randomly does it sometimes when I go to scroll....I easily fix it by ending the messaging app and then opening it again but that fact that it does it bothers me :-/ its only happened a hand full of times since October but still...

That used to happen on my s3....never figured out why though.

Sorry I'm not sure what to call this, but previously when I pulled down the screen that would show current notifications such as missed calls, words with friends, app updates, etc, it would list out a brief preview of my new email received. Now it just says "2 new messages" or whatever the number is. I think it was more useful before, not sure why/how it is changed?
Anyone know?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I think if you use 2 fingers to drag down it will show a preview. I think that's how it works now when you have multiple messages. Don't quote me on that though, but I think that's how it works.

This is odd, I think it was like this because I didn't have a sim in the phone, just using wifi. Put in a similar and it shows the more descriptive version.

So we all know the GS4 out of the box has some atrocious lag. Well I went through the steps to clear a lot of it out without rooting. Just stock, and changing some settings within the OS itself. But I was still noticing some small lag here and there. Well it turns out I put my GS4 on the charger and start using it, and I notice that there is significantly less lag, I unplug it, and then it goes back to usual lag. I have done this back and forth a couple of times, with the same results.
So could it be that Samsung ramps up the CPU when on the charger?

Your power save could be on?

I never experienced lag on this phone until yesterday and I noticed google services was using uo my battery. Went to the google settings and there is a new option call android device manager and I unchecked all the location settings and lag gone. Also if you have google currents go into settings and disable background sync.

Checked that and it's completely off. I wouldn't put it past Samsung do that, we've already seen them ramp up the processor and gpu for the benchmark rests, my guess is that they lower the clock speed when not charging or maybe below a certain percentage.

No lag here. Sorry to hear that bro
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
It's not like it's everywhere, it's just in a few places, like hangouts, where my One never lagged, or sometimes a jitter when swiping through apps or home screens. Guess I'm just not used to it coming from the One. But there is a difference in performance when plugged into a charger and not.

Watch a movie on the one or play a game. Its night and day compared to the S4.
My cousin has the one. YouTube takes at least 2 more seconds, worse quality, and skips.
Games skip/lag, and loading time is longer for the One.
You gotta take the good with the bad with either phone.

That is true, the YouTube app is much more solid on the GS4. But one small thing is that I get this huge black bar at the top of my YouTube app when I switch from portrait to landscape. Anyone know how to fix that?

That's just the app itself. That's not even a problem. If something like that REALLY bother you, then you're EXTREMELY anal about things.
P.s. I think you're a ONE fanboy that came on here to put down the S4.

I just tried it. My YouTube app doesn't do that. You probably have an app issue. Sorry to hear that bro.

I have the weird app issue, so does my brother, and my mom. Both have galaxy S4. Why can't YouTube/Google fix this. Shouldn't be to difficult?

Exactly what black line are you referring to?
I even took a screenshot of YouTube with the search bar left on. No double black bar on my phone.
Like I said before. Its a ROM/app issue. Or phone issue.

I've use iannotate on my note2 with great success. However, it feels quite sluggish and worst of all, it does not display the whole page fully. There will be a corner or two that is not displayed. Anyone else having this problem?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Yes i think all have these problems...
I texted the support already, and they say, its a known problem of big screen resolutions.
They know about the problem and its on the fixing-radar of them, but the android app is at the time not under development.

We all have that experienced. I am using free version of EZPDF until they fix it.
Another thing. After I make my annotation in my pdf files, I like to read them via Kindle. However, in Kindle, the annotations are gone. How do i make the annotations show up in Kindle?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
You are not annotating the actual PDF but are making your notes on a layer added above the PDF which is stored separately.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Still, it's there a way to see it on Kindle?

There may be a way to export in iAnnotate, but that app is horrible right now so i wouldn't bother.
Ezpdf and a few others annotate directly in the original pdf though you should be able to see it everywhere.
