just tried to flash frosty ics rom on an att sg3. Everyrhing seemed to work but i had no data connection. Is it possible for this rom to run on an at&t sg3 if so what else do I need to do to make data run. I am running the jb version of frosty and that works fine for data. Just want to downgrade to ics version for better battery life. Thanks in advance.

Yesterday i installed the Xquizit UVDLI3 rom in my GS3 and for some reason i dont know the connection to the internet seems a little slower than before. I was using the same rom but with ice cream 4.0.4 . If someone if having the same problem or if this issue have been resolved let me know.
Thank you
Try flashing a different radio or Sonic's radio installer

Which is the latest radio or baseband available for jellybean??
UVLI3 is latest jb radio, but any of the radios will work on any of our roms. Also both of those you tried may be Xquizit, but they are two very different roms! Jb is based on a leak. The other is an official release.

I already did a search on this question and wasnt really sure if it was only for the MIUI rom or if it was okay to flash any rom and it would still work. I want to flash the AOKP JB rom for the AT&T galaxy 3 to my Tmobile galaxy 3, is it possible to flash this rom and have everything working to? Thanks in advance
I can't answer your question, but I have one of my own. What's wrong with the TMo AOKP builds?
Nothing. I'm actually using their latest one right now but I wanted to see what the difference is. Sorry, I don't know much about rooting, I just know how to do it. And I like to try out and use different things
I am running task and ktoonez aokp from att on my t mobile s3 right now. It's been running good so far. No problems. Everything working fine. Using the ktoonez kernel too that is in the post.

You can flash them fine but there shouldnt be any difference between them
Hi,
If i want to upgrade from Frosty Jellybean v3 to Frosty Jellybean v4 in my s3, can I restore all of my SYSTEM data from Frosty JB v3 to Frosty JB v4 using titanium backup pro? I know that we should not restore the system data for new rom. However, I am not sure if this is considered as a new rom, since it is just a different version of the same ROM? I will really appreciate your answer and help. Thanks
Yes you can.

Its usually only when jumping to a rom based on a different Android version (and sometimes even between different builds) that restoring data can cause problems. Database structures, storage locations, etc may have changed and the updated version of an app may or may not handle it well.
Just fyi.

Ktoonsez KT747 will work on TW ICS. I'm using it on AOKP 4.2.1 and it is stellar. You can find it in the original android development section.
what's the different between TW and ICS because there is 2 kernels over there one for TW and one for ICS?
THANKS
TW is if your on stock and still use touchwiz. ICS is if you're rooted and on an AOSP based ROM such as CM or AOKP.
And if i'm stock ics rooted?

Then use the TW version. If you are to flash a new ROM, you'll need to re flash the kernel. Additionally, if you flash an AOSP ROM, be sure to flash the AOSP variant.

I just recently downloaded the latest kitkat carbon nightly rom for my T-Mobile GSII t989. Nice features--but I noticed WiFi/data calling doesn't work. How can I get it to function? Is there anything additional that I can flash to get this feature back?

WIFI calling only works on Touchwiz ROMs. I think the newest Touchwiz roms are Jellybean 4.1.2
There is also nothing you can flash to make it work. cwyman hit it right on the head. Flash back to a Touchwiz based rom and you have your WiFi calling back.
That sucks. Thanks, will do

Are there any links I can be directed to? Is there a rooted stock T-Mobile jellybean rom available (t989) that I can download & flash on this phone?

This is the one I've used on one occasion. It's basically what you would find out of the box, only rooted and de-odexed... There's also other stock based custom roms out there, but I can't say much for those as I never was interested in stock based custom roms.
