maybe im just over looking it but no matter what i do i can no get my contacts to sync on to my phone from facebook. ive tried a couple of different roms. right now im running all star rom v4. can anyone help?
There are multiple apps in the Google play store for syncing Facebook contacts, however most of these apps won't sync their numbers

does anyone know where I can find an unlocked facebook app that will sync contacts with htc sense. i want the facebook for android to sync with my contacts but when running a sense rom, that option isn't there

What??? I am confused as to what you want. Do you have a sense rom. Is it custom or stock. If you want to sync Facebook contacts with regular contacts and you have a sense based custom rom you should have no problem unless you or the rom Creator deleted the Facebook for HTC apk. That is the one that syncs Facebook contacts to regular contacts.
Or you could search the market for an app that will sync the contacts together. I know there is one there but I forgot the name of the app. Just go over to the market and do a search.

what is confusing. I have a sense rom and want to sync with the facebook app and not facebook for htc sense? I've already found what I'm looking for so don't worry about it

Not sure how it happened, but for most of my contacts I have about 3 identical google profiles for...I noticed this when I go to send a text...I get about 3 cell #s, 3 home #s, etc for each person...wondering if there is something I'm missing to clear out? Thanks in advance, just mildly annoying

Might be a stupid question but..... have you checked your google account? Are they on there multiple times too?
Do you have more than one gmail account linked with your android phone? If so, do you also have these contacts on separate accounts?
Go to your contacts app and hit the menu button and check your display options too. See if something weird's going on there.
Or you can delete the data for your contacts through the Application manager and let it resync in case data was corrupted some how.

I actually get the same thing but I'm heavily modded and just live with it. For me I'm on 1.1 of Srf and running the honeycomb theme of amosher. Also sync across two main mail accounts with my mandatory Gmail account not being one of them.

Clear the google services framework data.
First, I must apologize for posting in the wrong forum...meant to put in Q&A...sorry. And thanks for the suggestions...I cleared the data in the contacts storage, clear google services framework...reset the sync...unfortunately nothing worked...just weird...shows like 3 linked google accts under every contact...I can delete them manually, but upon reboot, they come right back...oh well, guess I'll just deal with it too...thanks again!

Go to the sync settings and uncheck the Contacts option on all but one of them and then reset it again.
Login to Gmail on a PC and try merging duplicates under contacts/more actions.

Happened to me once.. I've always had my contacts on gmail, but I once used a different back up app that restored my contacts, suddenly, I had two gmail entries for every person.. both on my phone and in gmail.. solution was to go on gmail on a comp and delete dup contacts

I am running beastmod 4.2 with 0.10 synergy kernel. I synced my facebook and google contacts and some of the contact pictures are not showing (e.g. some are showing and some are not). Does anyone know the cause of this?
Thats a problem with facebook and google, not BeastMOD.

Have you just synced with the Facebook App? If so try syncing with Facebook Social Hub in "Accounts and Sync"
I haven't found anything on this as common so hopefully im not stuck. Facebook will not sync via account t syncing to phone. When I choose Facebook for account syncing, the window backs up to the main account screen where it shows the accounts that are on.
Any info, issues that I'm aware of? Stock kernel, up to date gapps, tried cache clear.. no results. Thanks guys

Have you tried deleting the Facebook app and then reinstalling it? It had worked for me in the past. Also, condemnedsoul had a cm 7.2 kang that I've been using for a few weeks now... best rom I've used to date. Its in the development forum... syncs perfectly with fb.

I have similar issues with CM7 and Facebook contacts syncing. When FB initially syncs with my phone, it syncs current profile pictures of my friends to my contacts list. As they change profile pictures, the pictures shown in my contacts list never change. I found the only fix was to clear cache+data in Facebook and then log in again.
As far as i can tell, thats not an issue.. that's just how it works since the last big fb update. I just chose to assign pics for my contacts.

Just got the cm10 ROM and now my phone won't sync my Facebook contacts (numbers or contact pictures). This is a huge problem because nearly all of my numbers were from Facebook. Does anyone have a fix?
