I think i've bricked my phone. All I have left is TWRP and no stock rom. So I was wondering if somebody could point me in the direction of a rom for the SCH-R950 version of the galaxy note 2 or the stock rom and how to go about flashing back. Much thanks.
bump, please help. I need my phone lol.
Let me guess you used a rom from here that was meant for the n7100?

The people over at teamuscellular.com have the SCH-R950 covered fairly well, in the absence of an XDA forum. They have the stock ODIN file and several ROMs available.
I just registered and can't post a link, but you should be able to find the right place pretty easily from their front page.
Peace!

I advice to use a stock r950 ROM, its very stable and battery life is amazing

As per this sticky http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736474 I'd say no.
The euro s3 also has a quad core, while we have a dual core so I doubt there are enough similarities to cross roms.
I'm currently on a captivate patiently waiting to upgrade to an s3, so I've been doing some reading.

I am sorry, how can i move this post to General questions section.
You'll have to get the mods to move it.
Some guy tried flashing an international rom on a US/Canadian S3 and look what happened to him Xlite rom killed my phone
DO NOT FLASH INTERNATIONAL ROMS YOU WILL HAVE A PAPERWEIGHT

So many people bricked their devices by doing this...its PROBABLY not a good idea.

I'm pretty curious as to why you'd even want to do this.
Just in case anyone does Flash a INT version of a Rom ..
Here is how to fix it.

I take no credit, just relaying info
Ok, so...
NOT new to XDA, just back after a long iPhone-related absence...
I got a T-Mo (SGH-T889) Note 2, but I'm on at&t. I'm not new to flashing roms and such, but I do get a little confused when it comes to which roms are compatible with this device, and, do I need to flash an at&t modem to my device after flashing a rom? Are the kernels device-specific, meaning I don't want to flash an i1317 or 7105 kernel to my T889?
I appreciate all the help I've gotten from this community in the past, and I'm glad I'm back. If somebody could give me a little direction on the finer points, I'd be grateful.
Thanks!
Use the search feature... ive seen a couple fourms talking about what all roms are compatible with the note 2

There is never a "best" rom.
Flashing loads in a day gets you nowhere. Your not giving them a chance.
There is always a risk with flashing roms.

I was meaning that if the flashing is succesful..is there any risk of the flashing very often coz i never play with beta roms or tesing kernel if u kniw what i mean

You can flash 10 ROMs per day, I don't think there will be any problem. But frankly it's kiddish, and after using Android for almost 4 years now, I've no idea what people benefits from flashing nonsense on their phones.
Oh, for me, the best rom is stock for everyday use, never gotten into the craziness of custom ROMs, never will.
Sent from my GT-N7100
For me... STOCK is more than enough.. if you are Android Developer or something like that... you can choose from many ROMS out there
For me Omega rom is the best.:good:
Imao stock is enough in case of note2
The ones that support note 2 functions don't have much difference from stock rom.
The ones that do much difference don't have note 2 and spen functions.
I think mods are enough for me.
I use wanamlite anyway because it's deodexed and the only thing I wanted to change was multiwindow control and remove some bloatware and wanted latest update I.e. dll7
I would've been happy with stock rom if it
had been deodexed as there are some things that could have been better imao.

I just bought a new N7105 Note 2 from eBay. It's supposed to be here Tues. I see that some of the Note 2's are thrown together here on this forum. I've been searching & reading. Do the 7100 & 7105 use the same ROM's? I sure as Hell don't want to start bricking this one.
Just a simple question was all I asked.
Pretty sure you bought the International version

You bought the international version of the NOTE 2 meaning it is most likely SIM UNLOCKED.
I believe 7100 and 7105 should have different roms because 7100 is only 4G HSPA+ and 7105 is 4G LTE. I think they will have different drivers for the ROMS.
I am not an expert but Im sure different hardware will need different drivers leading to different roms. So I would download and install the ones for your phone.
I hope it helps, and good luck!
This phone is BEAST!!
Thanks. I plan on using the all-in-one 3.0 tool on it when it gets here.
If you need a quick list of 7100 and 7105 roms when you get the phone, this list should help you a little.
I rooted my phone and found very few roms were available for my phone (UK Galaxy Note 2 LTE GT-N7105) I ventured over to AT&T Galaxy Note 2 Android Development forum to find more custom roms. After asking around found couple so far which I have tested myself as follows:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1986893 This is my favourite and developer is very helpful, highly recommended.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2114833 Works with TWRP and not CWM. Tried and tested by myself.

Tried and tested This looks very good. Loads of customisation.
Another rom added for you flash junkies.

I'm too nervous to try AT&T roms on the HK phone. I bricked my Note 1 twice using wrong roms.
Not sure how reliable this is, but is says here that AT&T AND TMobile roms will work.
Anyone ready to try? From what I have read, the hardware is the same, it's just a couple things like the modem and kernel you have to remember about.
In fact, there is a ROM in the TMobile section that I am looking at right now, and the Dev says his ROM will work.... Read it here
I now use the RootBox ROM... Man its GREAT! haha i love the Tablet UI and customisation thats avaliable

What is with the HK Note II being treated differently?
I keep reading people saying that you can't flash the stock firmware to the Note II LTE if it's a HK one. Why not? it's still a GT-N7105.
What's different about it??
(I have one and want to know!)
i don't know, but my HK version is so picky about custom Roms. The only one that I can find so far that will run on it so far is Paranoid JB.
What happens when you try other ROMs?
And are you sure it's a N7105?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
The phone flickers on the Samsung screen and then blacks and never finishes loading. I either have to reload stock or the Paranoid to use it.
But you have another N7105 that works fine?
Can you provide some more details, at the moment it's just another anecdotal "Doesn't work"
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
No. I just have one.
