Does anybode know a better emulator for vgba???
I love to play pokemon games since i was 8 years old.
I installed vgba ...but sound isnt good enough...
So....is there a better emulator which plays .gba files better??
Another question...is there 1 ...only one emulator which has the
Ability to run every emulator files....snes..gba..nes..n64...e.t.c???
Another question...after root and resetting flash counter to 0..
When i search for firmware updates...it search ...search...searching
Isnt there any updates or does rooting the phone causes not updating

Gameboid is my personal favorite. For gameboy color, use GBCoid.
Thx you very much..you helped me alot..even on my underclocked note 2 @ 200MHz and powersave..gba games runs pretty well and with perfect sound without hanging on gameboid.

All right, first of all FPSEce is NOT WORKING WITH SOME ROMs, for example T2M's(maybe due to some additional programs or tweaks). Now I'm using XT GRID EVO 17B ROM(build 28014) and FPSEce runs fine for me.
Secondly, FPSEce is NOT WORKING if Showcase is installed.
About Frame Per Second... Final Fantasy runs with about 30-40 fps, Driver 2 - about 20 (really hard to play). As I know G-sencor is not currently working for all HTC devices.
I'm steel playing with setting and trying to get as much as possible.
Not working for me, what we all need is a nOOb guide.
Dont have Showcase installed and just hardreset my HD2...tryed with two different games, dont work. But then again, i dont know how the first screen should look and i find the info very confusing.
Ok, Colin Mcrae 2 worked. Runs nice but not my kinda game... If i can find any ok looking games (besides Final Fantasy) or make GranTurismo 2 work, ill make a donation next month!

I think u should really give up ur gaming desires with regard to touch hd, cos it's gaming porfermance is really pathetic as far as i know:
1, there isn't much games that fully works with wvga
2, our device doesn't support multitouch which is just a vital disadvantage for gaming.
and etc.
I have searched every possible aspects of gaming for blackstone device serveral months ago, and all i realised at the end is that this device sucks hard in terms of gaming....
if u don't believe me, just check out e.g. iphone's games in person, then u will know what i'm whining about...
and that's the truth..

One thing i would love would be if someone were to post their config here (i mean onscreen buttons/overlays). i just couldnt get it set up properly for the life of me. it would also save time when moving between ROMs. preferably as close to a ps1 controller as possible (or mutliple configs such as a racing (like gt) config with both analogue sticks, a fighter config (like tekken) with dpad and other buttons(not analogue sticks))
about the guy above me whining about blackstone games - there are plenty of good games if you know where to look. And when it comes to the iphone, sure it can game but once you stop playing and want to be constructive, the iphone fails miserably.
I'm all about the coolest looking ROMs.lol. I'd like to stick with 2.2 because I still use the original PSX4Droid.. It's the only ****ing one I could find that works extremely well. Plus it's the only one with support for UP+LEFT, DOWN+RIGHT.. etc. At least from what I know. I haven't checked in several months, so if I'm wrong, PLEASE let me know. I can't understand why PSX4Droid worked SO well until he made a new version..and completely ****ed it up.. Makes no sense to me..
Oh ****, ANYWAY. I'm using Viper 5.0 at the moment, but lately I've been having major issues with it. It worked fantastic for quite a while, but now 90% of my apps force close, every other time someone calls and I answer it, it will lag for a few seconds, then I won't be able to hear anything they say until I completely restart my phone. After like the third time I open it, Maps will say there is no data connection, even though there is.. So I have to re-download it.. Makes me sad because I really like the ROM and would like to keep it.. But I can't stand these issues anymore. I just downloaded the NEW Viper Rom. But I thought I'd ask you guys if there is a better, more stable one.. I have used CM7 in the past, and I think I used CM9.. but once again, after a while the bugs start kicking in and drive me insane.. Not to mention when you're on a call and receive a text message your face vibrates..lol. That drove me nuts.
So... if anyone kept reading this.. Thank you first of all.lol. But what are your suggestions? I REALLY wanted to try ICS, but there is no visual voicemail That's a dealbreaker.. I barely check my voicemails as it is WITH it..lol. But if there are any newer roms, with amazing working PS1 emulators (I play a LOT of FF7), please let me know! Thanks guys!!
The Visual Voicemail is working on all ICS ROMs. They took the one from the Epic Touch ICS. If you are looking for the most customizeable options for appearance try AOKP B29.

Lulz this is my help all day long.. I love to play emulators on my phone. I use cm9 and run with the samurai kernel it has a fps uncap to 72hz and runs at 65fps =]. Overclocks to 1.5ghz stable and not warm. I play zelda on n64oid... with my playstation 3 control with sixaxis controller app off the market. I use fpse for playstation one and it runs amazingly smooth.. haven't tried any rpg games on it but crash and tekken run pretty slick at 1.5ghz. If your a gamer then the samurai kernel is a must.. but he makes em for all types of roms. Touchwiz el30 bml or mtd. Cm7,miui gb and v4 and cm9. Hope this helps.. oh and with fpse you'll need a ps bios if you don't already have one otherwise it won't work but I had mine setup and every game I downloaded played great. Hope this helps.

Many of Gameloft games closes on ICS/JB roms,,mostly due to some problem in multitouch..i found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1443949 where some tweaks have been done to the zoom to make the games working.can these be done to the epic too??

I have quite a few running on my Epic with CM9 RC2 with no issues, such as Asphalt 7, Asphalt 6, UNO, and N.O.V.A. 2 - Near Orbit…
I did not do any special configuration to get them to work.
side note: I DID add the info from THIS THREAD to the end of my build.prop, but that was to help with the battery life

try running the old spiderman hd,gangstar 1,2, gta 3 etc ..u will know what i mean..
I had GTAIII on my Epic when I was on CM9 and it played fine.

Maybe a bit off the subject, but I had GTAIII on my HTC EVO4G (unrooted) and I loved it.
Now, I have the Epic 4G (rooted) and I have the game purchased on the market but of course it isnt compatible.
So, I notice some people doo have it on their Epic, I'm wondering how you get it to work ?

I run GTA3 on my Epic all the time, luv'n the save game with a Tank!
I do tone down the details and OC a bit, but it does startup and run with no issue.
Also run Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation and Backstab with no issues
In general, I have no issues with Gameloft games, so I would guess this is just an issue with games Gameloft has not bothered to update for ICS, which kinda sucks for those that paid for them.

Asphalt 7 gives me fc everytime upon startup closed unexpectedly everytime

That is so weird that it works now because I've tried awhile back and it didn't work, it'd give me a black screen after opening it. But I checked out that thread which helped a ton, and I got it installed and working! 100% .. not one problem.. yet haha.
Ahh, just like PS2 lol, lovin' it! I just found the GTA||| v1.2 apk and downloaded the SD data once (which I've read you may have to d/l it twice) and once it was done it opened just fine and has been working great ever since.

1) Watch where you're posting. I know there might not be a separate forum for Micromax A89 (and there will not be!) but anyway one can always go to Android General/Apps and similar sections for this kind of problems.
2) As for what you mentioned, yes I'm experiencing the same with an older version of Asphalt 6, only that it exits ONLY WHEN I do a multi-touch action. The problem exists across Android 4.x. I don't care about that game so I deleted it for all my Android 4.x ROMs. Best bet for you is to see if the game you're playing has any recent upgrade. But then again, if you happen to be playing Asphalt 5 or even older games... Time to move on to better games and a better phone!

hello i bought a xperia play which arrives tomorrow. i am only interested initially in running a few emulators (mame and n64 in particular) so my question is, do the mame and n64 emulators run much better/faster/smoother with a rooted device? The mame games i am interested in are double dragon, shinobi and outrun. the n64 games i want to play are zelda oot & zelda mm. Can the xperia play handle the mentioned games at fullspeed (or near enough to it), with sound on of-course and also with no frameskip? ..Or should i root and overclock etc for that extra push? thanks guys if u can help. can't wait to get the play. played one for the first time a few days ago and absolutely loved it :good: had to buy one!
You need a custom kernel to over clock not rooting. And to get custom kernel you have to unlock your both bootloader but they souls work fine without doing all that I've played major as mask on stock and it worked fine

If you want to overclock, read these guides. Read the first part of "Flash a FTF" to install the drivers on your PC, then read "unlock bootloaders", lastly read the pre-requisite of " installing a custom rom" to flash the kernel. There are some kernel that work with stock GB firmware such as Doom and Lupus, find then in the development section. Use a program like SetCPU or no frills to overclock.

mame's a bit glitchy here and there as expected but all my favourite games run great with sound and no frameskip. ...and the snes emulator is bloody fantastic. I previously owned a caanoo but by todays standards, it sucked to be honest.. I know the xperia play is not exactly the latest thing, but it's ace. i love it:good: . . . .. . . .now to try some more emulators..

Hello. I'm new on this forum so please don't attack me for this post.
I am a big fan of classic JRPG-s and i enjoy playing them on my HTC Desire.
The problem is that with every custom rom that has ICS or JB with which i tried to run any GBA emulator like Gameboid i have a huge problem.
The emulator works flawlessly except one big issue that i didn't have on my stock Froyo 2.2 rom or Cyanogenmod 7 2.3 rom. Whenever i press my display on two different places the emulator restarts or makes a quick load from last quick save state that i had and it makes some games unplayable. Does anyone knows what causes this or how to cure it. Can it have anything to do with kernel maybe?
I'm currently using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2070704 ROM.
Btw i tried 3 maybe 4 emulators like gameboid and My boy and they all have the exactly same issue. Other games that use dual touch from market work normally.
I tried searching but i didn't find anything that could help me with the issue.
Any kind of help would be kindly appreciated.
