I can not find how to re-enable the notification bar. I have P.A.C.-Man ROM installed. My brother was screwing around with all the setting. I fixd everything but the notification bar. Does anyone know where the setting to turn it back on?
Do you have an interface option in your rom settings menu?? If so, should be able to it there....

Are you using Nova launcher, Apex Launcher etc? Can you get the notification bar to drop down by sliding your finder down the screen starting at the very top? Typically most after market launchers will have an option to auto hide the notification bar.
For nova launcher, click the menu button while on the home screen, you should have a "Nova Settings" option. Click that then click "Look and Feel". It will show up near the bottom of the list.
I am not 100% sure where this option resides in Apex launcher and I believe IIRC, Trebuchet does NOT have this option, but I could be wrong.

Hi,
when i pull down the status bar in AOKP MR1 (4.2.1) i see the quick settings panel if there are no notifications active, and not, as in stock 4.2, the notification drawer(or panel, don't know how to call it).
I'd like to have the stock behavior, so that i can pull down the status bar and ALWAYS see the notification drawer. Is it possible with a simple method? I tried looking in the settings but didn't find any option for this.
Thank you.

You will have to post this on the developers thread. You will not find an answer here most likely. I hope they can help you there!
go in rom control or status bar toggles and make sure you have some toggles enabled then they should show up, hope this helps

Thank you, but the point is I just want the status bar to show me either the notification panel OR the toggles panel when i pull it down (i'd rather to have always the notification panel). It's a bit confusing that you don't know what's going to be shown when you pull it down..

Eh, even though I'm quite flashaholic and spend a lot of time reading on xda, i seldomly post, and unfortunately i still have to reach the 10 posts limit to be able to post in dev threads.
On the other hand, I'm the living proof that xda search button actually works

10th post! yay! :victory:
You should try nova launcher. You can set it to open the taskbar when you swipe down on the home screen.

I've been searching the interwebs for awhile to see if anyone has developed a desktop shortcut or preferably a toggle for the built in power saving mode. I don't want to download another application that saves power, I just want to have quick access to the native ability via the home screen. Has anyone created this or can anyone make this? Seems relatively easy... Thanks

I believe the stock toggles on a stock Rom have the power saver toggle.

Yes, it definitely is in the stock toggle bar, but just wondering if a shortcut type toggle for the home screen has been created.

i guess you could do that from nova launcher via activities....though by which appname or class does this mode goes on...that the problem
if i could have power saving mode app ID then making its shortcut is easy in nova launcher
I installed Paranoidandroid last night and I had a status bar, then I clicked the halo icon. I went to move halo to the other side and I dropped in on the X by mistake.
Now I do not have a status bar or halo to give me my notifications. I looked through the settings and can not find one to turn anything back on.

In the Android settings you can still make changes to Halo. You can find the appropriate options under the Settings -> Toolbars section:
"Hide HALO after activity" ensures that your halo bubbles migrate to the left margin of your device and takes up less space after the notification has been received. This way, they take up less space and don't obscure as much of your screen.
"Reverse HALO gestures" with this it gives you more control over the Halo notifications and being able to freely move them around on your screen. You can even remove them completely by dragging them to top of your screen into the "X"

I'm not using this, but I was curious what you were talking about.
Hope this helps.

Hold down your power button and see if full screen (pie) is enabled...if so disable that and you'll get your status bar back

Hey Fellas, want to remove share bar in sense 6 (4.4.2 arhd) once you are inside reading an article. That black bar takes a lot of screen and would like to be able to hide it atleast or similar so I get more text on screen.
What to do?

ANS- You mean on-screen buttons? Use Trickster app to remove 3-dot menu.

Oh sorry, didn't realise that.
I'm talking about when reading article in blinkfeed see here https://d13yacurqjgara.cloudfront.net/users/22485/screenshots/1493015/htc_blinkfeed_detail_1x.png
do you see the black bar in top.. the share options etc.. Takes a lot of space!
What would be great is have menu pop up with single press on home button or similar and get those options there. (only option I would need personally is read later and go back. Going back is already possible with normal backbutton and reading later is also already available if you go back and longpress an article (seems a bit buggy though doesn't always work)). Then we could get that 15% extra screen when reading!
1. I didn't give the navbar much thought through the initial setup and now I cannot change where I want the Navigation buttons to go.
When I go to the settings page for the touch buttons, it only has options for adding pointless buttons and, for instance, not the settings button.
Do you know how I can get back to that original menu to add 4 buttons instead of 3?
2. Is there a way to change the clock on the lockscreen as it barely shows on anything other than dark wallpapers. On the G2, you could swipe sideways, add a page and then delete the standard clock, but this UI seems not to have that feature.
3. Is the only way to get full immersive mode with this rom to install an Xposed module?
