Is there a browser that allows you to move along a website as you are pinch zooming?
Currently, if you start to pinch zoom, you are locked to one particular origin point which you can magnify or zoom out off. If you move both fingers in any one direction e.g. both fingers towards the left, the webpage will not show you more of what's to the right of what you are currently viewing.
My Honeycomb tablet, the iPhone, and WP7 are all capable of doing this, so I was wondering if there is anyway to get my incredible 2 to do this as well.

So.it does work with boat? That one is very similar to the miui browser.

Yup, it does work with boat. I actually had it installed but didn't use it because I thought stock did everything I need, until I noticed this of course. I know it's unrelated, but I've been using the stock ROM... How much do you prefer MIUI over stock? Assuming you are using it of course.

Try Boat Browser. Very similar to Miren. Miren was my choice too. I like Boat just as much.
I have miren and could post it if you need it. Pm me I still use it every day
If you could please post it. I just flashed cm7 today and went to d/l just to find it missing.
Ugh. Guess I'll try boat out in the meantime.

Miren browser fc's on me whenever i try to download anything using that browser.. i stop using it and went with dolphin mini..
Rumor has it that Dolphin is recording your inernet travels and phoning it home. At least I read a thread on here one day about it. Enough reason for me to leave it alone.

+1 for opera mobile, looks like hell but handles most websites 100%. ROFLMAO when my cousin was like why do I have an oprah browser ha
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
The cool thing about Miren is that you could get your bookmarks from an HTML file. I have yet to figure out how to get my bookmarks from Chrome to Dolphin, Opera, or the standard browser (I got them in the standard browser but not in folders, lame). I have ChromeMarks so know about that.
Its still in the market. My Touchpad couldn't see it either running CM7 for some reason. Try googling it in the browser and then click on the link to the market and select "open with Market" and it should show up and allow you to download. Worked for me on the Touchpad.
Another +1 for Opera Mobile.

Damn, another great app taken off the market.
Guess Maxthon Browser is next in line for default on my phone.
Do you use titanium? When I first flashed CM7 I thought I had lost most of my apps but they are at the bottom of the list on titainium with a line through them. Just restore them. I thought I had lost the anarchy launcher from TriNitY ROM but there it was.
Edit: The opera mini is really light on systems

Yeah, I saw the same on the XDA News section a while back. A day after it was discovered, the person who discovered Dolphin was "logging" your internet travels released a method to disable it. Afterwards, Dolphin hopped on board and disabled that function in an update. Dolphin was again tested and was found to no longer log anything.
My Top 3 Browsers (for anyone who cares to know) are as follows, and are in NO particular order:
Skyfire
Dolphin Browser HD
Opera

Opera mobile is amazing functionality wise, but the UI iss clunky as fluff
I tried boat a long time ago, but when I did it seemed very close to miren. Go for it

Just discovered Miren missing myself. I still have the apk, but it started having...issues. It was rendering the full version of pages no matter what the user agent was set to. I'm going to try Boat, based on what's being said here, but I also really dig xScope. Might go that route.
Anybody else having issues with Dolphin Browser not opening/responding?
Yes. Wait. Or use stock. I like stock better than dolphin now.

Youre not the only one. Ive got issues with Dolphine and my GN also. Sad too bc i really like Dolphin
Same here.
Need it to set a Customer User Agent... :|
yeah dolphin no worky.
if you want one with 'desktop mode', skyfire(my fav) works most of the time on this Nexus.
otherwise use stock or Boat Browser.
They have a beta to fix the issues it has with the GNex. Works for me again.

It seems that the freeze is most likely to happen on Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
But now it is ok for the beta version.
Thanks for your quick response!

You can set User Agent in the stock browser as well. Just type about:debug in URL bar and hit 'Go', then open Menu and you will notice new option there, which will - among other stuff - allow you to change UA.

This browser is great. it even supports native flash within the browser. Super fast and excellent controls and the customization options are great. Good find!
**edit**
Wish it had a way to reflow the text shown you Zoom in. This is one thing I really like from opera browser.

I am not trying to start a "what is the best browser" war here.
I am using chrome right now but, today I noticed it is seriously draining my battery. I am going turn sync off on it hoping that helps but, I doubt that will do a whole lot.
I would like to know what everyone is using and if it drains the battery a lot or not.

I've always used stock, seems to have most features I need and it seems much faster than the others most of the time, especially when compared to chrome. Chrome's always seemed really slow for me at least. Stock doesn't seem to kill the battery much either.

I tend to stick with Chrome. Have used the stock browser or Firefox when Chrome doesn't display something quite right in mobile or desktop mode.
Have always used Opera, never any problems. Use Lightning sometimes but still like Opera best.

I generally use the stock browser, but occasionally use Chrome. The stock browser seems to have the best luck with displaying pages correctly.
everytime I try chrome, I'm reminded why I don't use it on android. Much slower loading of most web pages, web pages load weird, etc. As long as a stock browser can pull my chrome desktop bookmarks, that is what I use. Not to mention the stock browser has incognito mode.
Yeah been trying out Firefox and the stock browser lately. I like both of them more than chrome. They seem faster. Not sure how I like Firefox's tab thing though.
