Urgent help please

I messed up my phone while upgrading to new release from t mobile (as this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1842142) but somehow i was able to get into download mode and try to odin new release ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838101 ) but its been on system odin for more than half hour and not moving on!!!
What to do please suggest . Thank you.
(Mods i know i post it on wrong section but right now to save my phone i did it sorry, hope you understand)

Try doing a hard reset and start again

Yea make sure it says added when connecting to Odin. Also make sure before flashing that ROM on Odin u flash stock recovery! That's prolly why it failed. I grabbed stock recovery from the sgs3 toolkit in dev section start toolkit up and flash stock recovery then Odin the rom

Make sure you don't still have kies running in the background on your pc. This happened to me, updated phone via Kies, went to flash with Odin, it would recognize the phone as connected but wouldn't make any progress and then timeout. Realized kies was open, and closed it, immediately retried Odin and it worked as usual

4. factory data reset in recovery

Recovery Issues

I was trying to flash the phone to FF18 and when the phone rebooted I have error shown below on the screen " firmware upgrade encountered an issue " .
What can I do to restore my phone back use Odin . I tried using Kies but it doesn't see my phone

Does Odin recognize the phone? If so use one of the rooted or unrooted one clicks.

Hey OP, looks like you were on cna before. What and how did you try to flash?

I have a another s2phone which I use to test roms before I put them on my regular phone. Odin doesn't recognize my phone.

Q: Touch doesnt work anymore all of sudden but can still use the spen.

i bought a note 2 32gb 2 weeks back and all of a sudden the touch doesnt work anymore..i tried resetting and flashing the os to stock and still doesnt work..and the other thing is since i bought this while i was overseas in UAE, i cant do anything in australia..they kepy insisting that i go back to UAE...any suggestions or advice?:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

The S-Pen and touchscreen work with two different systems.
Appearently your touchscreen are either damaged, or the drivers are not working properly.
Perhaps try a factory reset, or download the latest firmware again?

i have tried that but when i type the code for hard reset with the dial pad it kept saying invalid code. >: i assume there isnt a way to download the drivers?

Oh, sorry I didn't read your post close enough. Then I don't know any good options.

Just a question? Have you done anything else than using OTA or upgrades by Kies? Trying Emergency Firmware upgrade or what ever it says in Kies might restore stuff that Factory restore does not, I guess.

Tried everything with no results...I believed the problem started with chainfire...

Enter into recovery by pressing volume up + home + power botton
Then do a factory reset from there

tried it and nope...-.- i shouldnt have used chainfire...just wanted to play a few integra only games...:crying::crying::crying:

tried the revolution hd with the superwipe zip and cleared and installed but still nothing

The only thing using Chainfire 3D could do is cause you to bootloop (as its not working on jellybean!).
It couldn't mess your touch screen.
Also nothing that CF3D does will survive a factory reset, and or full ODIN flash.

Try again that same chainfire download with reloading it from web, possibly bad download.

i guess theres nothing i can do then..just a note, i was downloading shadowgun and when i cancelled it at 25% download , the phone hanged and i had to take out the battery to reboot..and thats when the touch doesnt register anymore .....

So it isnt chainfires fault. Its your fault a) for not being truthful and b) for not following instructions.
Just flash a stock rom via pc odin ffs .

i have flashed over two times between three available roms from the samsung site...with no results....it all started with the chainfire...i flashed it n it was in loop n i flashed it to stock n it was fine again..so i started reinstalling every app that i bought...that was still fine..n when i started downloading the sd data for the game n paused it at 25% everything just went south.

What samsung site are you talking about? If you meant sammobile it is not samsungs site, if full stock firmare flash doesn't work try to get it repaired by warranty. And there are loads of roms here in xda, just download some here (stock prerooted thread etc..)

the warranty is only valid in UAE, n i m in australia...the note 2 will be released in australia in about three weeks :crying:

[Q] Stuck on boot screen after wiping system (accidentally)

Just to say, I have rooted a lot of devices and this is the first time this has ever happen to me!
While in recovery, I hit the wipe system button and now the device says that there is no OS on the device and is stuck on the boot screen. Is there any way to correct this? I am so lost without my GN2!

Yes its easy download a return to stock ROM for Odin or flash a ROM using twrp ....or restore a back up

I have the jellybomb and tried to flash it but it stated that it failed...Unfortunately for me, I did not back up. So out of pocket of me! Any recommendations on a Rom I can use. I really appreciate the help.:good:

Would you happen to have a link for me. It seems that somehow my memory card I had in the device is currupt or damaged.

My computer is not recognizing my device. It will not recognize on boot screen or in recovery.

Same phone same problem with a twist
Please help as i have the same problem. In addition, connectin to odin my phone isnt recongnized. Yes drivers are up to date. Im rather green i havent been able to flash a rom yet. Tried flashing diffrent versions of macksrom, but i was successful in flashing perseus kernal.

you could trying start odin then plug up phone while off . and boot in to download mode that way. I find that works sometimes.

I belive in the mutilple times of trying to connect odin that was done. Im afraid the phone might not be reconized by the pc.
Will try connecting with your method to be sure first thing in the morning

Fastest way. . If you have access to another phone with memory card or put your card in that phone download rom put card in your phone and flash it from recovery

I tried mutiple usb ports odin still not reconizing. There is a rom on extsd. It is Macksrom allstar v5 the latest i belive.
As it fails to install it reads
Finished running boot script.
E:unable to open zip file.
Error flashing zip'/ extsd/
Updating partion details...
In trying to flash previous to this i have never been successful. I have always gottenthis error

Just tried connecting via another computer to odin. Same results, some please guide me.

A little problem :(

I rooted my phone today ' but when I try and go into dl mode the GT-N7100 splash screen is fragmented then my phone just stays black untill I switch it on I have supersu installed and updated binaries blah blah blah but when I hold down the buttons to enter dl mode ' I get the same fragmented splash screen and no dl mode page where id normally flash wipe or backup :banghead: '' I noticed I did not have USB debbuging ticked in options ' is that where I messed up ? ANYway I ticked USB debugging and tried again still the same outcome ' is this what you call a bad flash ?? and what are my options ?? I was thinking I could just install roms with Clock work manager as I normally do but will I cause more problems ' or should I flash a stock rom or unroot and flash again I just got this replacement today '' I had no problems fladhing my last n7100 but had to take it back due to s pen error '

It sounds more as a glitch to me, a bad flash will cause uglier problems I think, as loops, not booting up, hangs up, crashes etc.
If I were you, I'd flash a stock rom, go to recovery, wipe cache, factory reset then again wipe cache. Then I'd root it on stock kernel perhaps with CF-auto root and then if anything is back to normal I'll go to other roms or whatever you want to do. Always make sure your usb debugging is on
**Edit, I just reread you thread...how did you flashed again if you were not able to enter the dl mode?

( I meant to say ran the rooting program in odin again, not flashed ' sorry

Smoothest rom with minimal mode. Maybe you want to explore simplistic framework flashed over it but otherwise also its pretty awesome.

Thanks for your input bro ' can you confirm the above rom will not carrier lock me when I flash in mobile odin ' I was gonna use this rom on my last note but chose omega as it was themed ' im dl this rom now anyways will probly take around an hour its at 3% geez its slow

I just tried to flash omega rom using clock work manager install zip from sd card ' I got the dame fragmented GT-N7100 screen then the phone went dead ' I switched the phone back on and the phone hsd just reset it self back to the start as if id just purchased the device ' I still has supersu installed had to reinstall all apps :banghead:

A. Use mobile odin flash official stock rom .tar file then reroot
B. shoot my self in the face
C. go to bed

If you want to flash the stock rom, at least in your case I'd forget about odin this time. For your sake I'd start from 0 and just reflash it trough Kies, at least that way you will know for sure where you stand.
But reading your comments such as turning it on and going to the purchased state confuses me. Your rom is either pretty much f****** or I hope not your newly replaced device faulty, perhaps some hardware/memory issues I have never heard of.

Still it's not clear what is issue it's download /recovery
Where you normally wipe and backup that's call recovery not download mode
Download Mode is volume down+home +power
If you getting download mode correctly then flash any stock rom (2013 released) with pc odin

sorry its recovery mode Im having the issues with ' everything I have desribed in my first post is me trying to describe what happens when I hold the home button' volume up ' and power button ,,,, I get the fragmented GT-N7100 splash screen then my phone just stays black until I hold the power button then my phone switches on ' I have no problem getting into dl mode ive tried re-rooting my device 4 times my flash counter says 4 and is recognised as custom ' istill have the problem of not getting to the recovery screen wher i could flash a rom wipe ' restore '' ect ''' sorry for my brain fart hope someone can now help my dilemma

What is it any way i was able to flash an upto date version of clwmod using mobile odin as i didnt have access to my laptop and everything went fine ' i can now get into recovery ' im currently running omega v12 finnally but thanks very much for your response and help ' is the recovery file you linked a official firmware or a cappable recovery image i could of flashed if yes thanks ill dl and save it for a rainy day
