META WIDGET
Meta is a unique app that can turn virtually any online content into dynamic, interactive widgets.
Simply browse to a website, pick a column of text, link or image and enjoy this information right on your home screen!
Why is this cool you ask? Because almost anything can be parsed out of a website - images, blogrolls, RSS feeds or entire windows.
Any widget created through Meta can be customized and automatically updated, or updated on user interaction.
Features
★ Create widgets from almost any website element
★ Parse graphs and images
★ Extract statistics and information from authorized sites
★ Configure widgets (background, alignment, etc.)
★ Automatic updates
★ User defined click actions
★ Lots of other cool stuff
Status
The app is currently quite stable, but we still prefer to call it a beta. So please, do write to us with suggestions or bug reports!

Guys, has anyone had problems authorizing on sites? Someone left a review on the market saying that the keyboard doesnt pop up. Works fine for us though...
Any other problems i should be aware of? Suggestions perhaps?
1.0.2.1
Fixed keyboard issue present on some phones
Fixed image cache optimization (much faster now)
Fixed a rendering issue that occurs if data connection is lost
Fixed a few device-specific issues from user feedback
This could go far into making easy HTML widgets. I build websites, so this would be awesome to link to a page that displays how many people are logged in, or a general chat forum for questions/comments.
My mind is thinking about this. I would get a video up asap because it would answer lots of questions. I'm curious as to how it grabs the content.
UPDATE:
Very awesome! I got confused at first because I accidentally clicked away the help bubbles. Maybe have a dedicated button somewhere with a [?] to provide some help.
I will be buying this for sure as there are tons of website site stuff that I do that I can use this for. I imagine that you'd have to redo this every time a website changes their page layout... which hopefully isn't that often.
It would also be nice to save/share these homemade widgets!
Maybe also the ability to include more then one tablet element, like 2 columns.
I think you should put a video that shows how this widget works.I couldn't create any decent widget and it can be confusing without a video or a tutorial.

There wasn't a video the last time I looked. The widget also doesn't show up in the launcher. Your reply was insulting to me. I can usually figure things out on my own but the instructions were vague and there wasn't a video when I first saw this. Nice work anyway

Hi all,
I'm looking for a dialer apo to replace the stock dialer, since the Samsung stock one doesn't even have a proper T9 dialing option.
I have tried ExDialer, and it's really good but it doesn't show Facebook profile pics in the dialer.
Does anyone know of any better dialer apps that are fast and functional?
Thanks.

Few things that come to mind:
- Dialer One
- RocketDial
- Go Contacts
- Touchpal Contacts
Let us know how you get on.
Dev Team
im currently using dev team stuff such as:
go sms
go contacts
go keyboard
go dialer
im pretty much using the same thing as you but if you install AOKP rom, it should fix your problem with the face book contacts thing as its part of the features for the rom
let me know how you go
Ex Dialer is awesome now
Dialer ONE it's my favorite
Dialer one for sure.....

Thanks guys for the replies, but I tried each one of them and NONE can pull FB pics into the dialer!
They're there in the contacts and even in the stock dialer but they simply don't show up in any of these custom apps! Other pics like google pics etc show up though....
Does it work for you? Am I doing something wrong here?
Am using hax sync. It works fine and fb pics show up on exdialer.

Ok.
How does hax sync integrate with the stock contacts? Is there another tab for it like Facebook and whatsapp or does it just sync the photos within the fb account?

Its just like another fb or whatsapp account. It also syncs high res images which is nice and in the options you can choose to have htc style notes on your google account contacts so that when you do a full wipe and re sync it remembers the linked contacts.

ex dialer
I have used almost all the available dialers and to date found the Ex dialer to be the most user friedly one with good themes as well. Its a matter of personal preference too. For someone like me the main thing is not to have to stretch my thumb to the top of the screen to press buttons specially in S3 which is bigger. All the relevent common buttons are in the lower field. Even the search button of the contacts in ex. Go dialer is also very good but for me cannot beat the Ex dialer.
If helpful ...press thanks
I believe u should go for....

Thanks for the explanation. Since it's a paid app, I just wanted to confirm.
So this app syncs phone numbers and other details too? After installing this can I completely disable the normal Facebook sync app?

I don't think it syncs contact numbers. Only pictures. For me, thats what was important as I have telephone numbers on my Google contact list for most of my fb contacts. And it syncs status updates as well. So if you click on a contacts update in hax sync it takes you directly to the contacts page on the facebook app in your phone. I have disabled contact sync on my fb phone app.

You heard it first here at XDA, New SWYPE BETA update brings awesome gesture feature and different theme options.

I'm loving the new version. Many themes, looks sleeker, and they moved the hyphen to the first symbols page which was always a huge pain for me.

Built-in theming AND soft vibrate on keypress.
Brilliant!

Can anyone confirm if this version uses more RAM? On my SGS III it is using 44MB, phone has been on for 25 hours.
But on my LG Thrill 4G, it is still on the older version (1.1.1.7628) and using 18MB for the past 16 hours.
I'm at 35mb after 12 hours but I noticed they put a lot more work into Swype connect so the app is only using about 20mb & the Swypeconnect part is at about 15mb. I also noticed after signing in to it to back up my dictionary that somehow all my words are gone.. go figure. Hopefully I can get it back through titanium or something.

Thanks. I use cm10 and add your know doesn't come with Swype so just that alone keeps me from having to flash back and forth from tw two cm and back and forth. Little details but like some of you know its the little things can make it or break it.

You're comparing peanuts to peanuts in a sea of 2GB. I'd still be using Swype even if it was hogging... 25% of my ram, but, atm, it's only eating 39MB.
just a quick question I installed it on my phone running frosty JB v2 and the keyboard works great but I don't have theme options anyone else have this?
BTW tried it on an aokp rom and themes were there, any ideas how to get it working with both roms?
Just updated. Thank God for a nice black theme like I had on my RAZR, and now "i" is auto-capitalizing to "I"properly again. Second one was REALLY bugging me.
Will be interesting to see the new Swiftkey swype offering tough.

The gestures are pretty handy when i remember to use them.
Themes look nice. The voice to text is very good (unless this uses the native Google engine? )
How long has this beta been around? Are they eventually going to put a release on the android market?

It uses the Dragon Go voice engine. Dragon Go is an app in the market as well, pretty handy.
That's a good question, It's been beta since the original galaxy s. I don't know when they are going to make it official.

I think the beta is used to test out new features which they include to OEMs. Not sure they are going to put out an actual app in the Marketplace.
I didn't see the soft vibrate on keypress.

I found a useful app called Fresco that updates my wallpaper (daily) with cool HD images from NASA, but I am growing tired of the space theme. Whats useful about Fresco is that it doesnt just pull images from your internal memory, but queries their database so you dont store anything on your phone. As far as I can tell there is no other app that does this. Can anyone recommend another app that automatically updates your wallpaper each day in the correct size/resolution for the N4? Ideally if I could pick some categories that would be great as I dont want to wake up to see Justin Bieber (shudder) or any crap like that on my phone!

The Nexus devices show a transparent floating list on the right side of the screen where you can swipe away open apps, CM goes one step further and gives you a button to close all open apps. The HTC One takes you to another screen with really small pictures of apps you swipe away one by one to close. Ideally I am looking for the CM version of that, or would even settle for the stock Google version.
Wait until the Google edition then flash that.

TrickDroid rom has an option in its settings to change from sense multitasking to the nexus style you are referring to. Only thing is there is no close all option like CM.

You'll probably have to ask someone to make it for you specifically, or Flash TrickDroid which isn't far off a stock rom other than some theme options
