TWRP v2.3.2.3 (11/28/12) - Sprint LG Optimus G

I am just re-posting this for simple reference purposes.
Tested and works for Sprint as well.
The only issue I have encountered is mounting does not work, but this is a known problem.
sk8erwitskil said:
so i have built a working twrp for the optimus g. everything is working great.
this has been confirmed to be working on att/sprint/rogers/telus devices.
Download ----------> TWRP v2.3.2.3
How to install:
- you must be on an unlocked bootloader (use freegee)
- download the zip file and boot into recovery
- install TWRP-v2.3.2.3-LG-OptimusG-sk8erwitskil.zip
- enjoy
yes....everything is working fine in this recovery

Don't use compression while backing up. I had that issue and it broke my phone, I had to LGNPST back to stock, reroot, re-unlock, and re-flash TWRP.

Besides mounting, what other issues does it have. Seems like this is a better option than the clock work recovery

Is time issue fixed yet. I know it was when I left the s3

If you buy Freegee. Helps support our devs. It'll install CWM or TWRP. TWRP is our only fully functional recovery so far.

NANDROID error

Okay, I used the toolkit to NANDROID backup, 3x 5 minutes apart to be safe. Now that I want to go back after flashing a rom that is force closing eafh restore is throwing an error from the beginning using CWM. Im wanting the stock kernel and rom.
I am aware this was probably user error, nevertheless I need a few pointers.
Thanks in advance,
CJ
First pointer post in the right section and answer use Odin to restore back to factory and possibly restart...

Yes, I use Twrp with N8013. But if I'm plan to flashing all time I use CWM which is very easy to use and if I want for warranty all I do restore to stock. Toolkit , Twrp ,CWM are same depend on your experience and your taste.

[Q] LS970ZV9 back to LS970ZV8

I have been hitting the install later for a couple days now and my daughter picked up my phone and installed it (9 years old told not to touch phone).
I have rooted my phone on V8 for Wi Fi tethering but now it does not work.
Can someone IM me the noob directions to revert back to the V8 or point me in the right direction if there is a noob version out there..
I have come across so many threads but you have to be a rocket scientist to understand them.
Need a noob dumbed down version on how to get back to V8 please

i think what op wants is to not have to lgnpst back to zv7 every time he softbricks.
I'm confused... does that mean once you get back to ZV7 the phone has to be rooted, then load the rooted ZV9 version, or once to ZV7 one has to update to ZV8 then re-root then load the rooted ZV9? Where does one fine ZV8?

pretty much. if you try to update i think it just goes straight to v9. i have yet to find v8 firmware anywhere except for a flashable zip which you need to be unlocked for anyways.

Well, if you have the right TWRP, and are wiping /system, /data, /cache, /dalvic, I'd say bad dl , or your SD might be messed up.

See if you can flash a stock ROM. Also, reinstall recovery. DL the one from Shelnutt2 on the codefire server. There's also a link for it in the root guide.
After reinstalling recovery, and if it'll install a stock ROM, try a 4.4 rom again. If it still fails, I'd say try wiping your SD.
Other than that, I'm at a loss.
