I reverted to stock rom and I rooted it but I'm just wondering how can I get the ota update since it says failed when I try to update it while being rooted.

For some of us that had root or modified kernels like EG31 that had a failed update attempt recently and are not getting reprompted for update, is Kies an option for the update to be installed.
The update is available in Development. I don't know about Kies but you definitely don't have to wait to get it

Quick question. Where can I get news updates for what and where T-Mobile is releasing in their OTA update?
Just curious because I have a friend that got another OTA update, but failed. Wondering if its cause he's rooted? He's on a stock ROM with just root.

He's probably got a custom recovery too. Root alone doesn't seem to prevent the update.

Hello everyone i wa wondering how can i remove cwm recovery from my phone? i want my phone to be clean! and i wanna have an ota update to JB first so after i can root!
Via ODIN but why? By the time you get the OTA there will be a custom ROM to flash... unless you are one of the lucky few to get it on the day of release.
Make sure to restore your stock recovery as well.

how via odin? and also actually on redmondpie there is a app/mod that gets you the updates literally minutes after the ota update appears so yeah please explain how to remove via odin???

No you will not receive ota updates rooted. Unrooting is pretty easy though and someone usually turns the update into a flashable zip.

Flash with stock firmware for your phone model, or kernel only, if you have stock rom with cwm

is the flashable zip the exact! same thing as the ota update? does it come with touchwiz and all same features as ota update?
I have been trying to install the latest ota update from T-Mobile on my sg 3 but after it downloads and I try to install it the phone restarts in CWM and I get a message saying can't verify signature. I toggle the signature verification in CWM but I get the same message, any idea what I may doing wrong or what I may need to do differently to have the update install?

If you are not using the stock recovery (not cwm), the ota update won't go through. You have to unroot and install stock recovery to get the ota to install

Just Odin the new root66 image. Its way faster than doing the OTA update. Make sure you do a factory reset afterwards too, so youll avoid any conflicts or unnecessary drains.
I have a question, did the JB update come with a radio update as well?

I already updated my tmobile s3 via ota to 4.3 but i was wondering if an 4.4 update comes on march how can i update being rooted cuz i press the update setting and it says this device has been modify and something about it wont update
I rooted 4.3 with CF root method and i would like to know if the 4.4 update comes how to update it

Your rooted, just install a custom recovery and flash the update from xda or you can odin to the new fw which may be found on xda as well as sam mobile
