I am looking for noobnl's el29 directboot cwm V1. The cm install page only has V3 and it wont let me flash modems. If I remember right V1 allowed for modem flashing. Can anyone provide me with a copy please?
Have you looked through the kernel sticky?

No thats not it either. If you look after directbootCWM there is the version number you also have version 3. I am loooking for version 1. Thank you though.
There should be no difference... v1 had trouble with proper md5 checksum on odin so it was fixed in v3... I used to have v1 since I -ustar the original one. I think I do have the original one, but why don't you just use el26cwm if you are just trying to flash a modem?
here's the original http://db.tt/wdhp9WiT I believe it will only work on mobile Odin though

PLEASE UNDERSTAND, THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL BUILD FOR A REASON, THERE WILL BE BUGS, SO DON'T WHINE IF YOU FIND ONE, FIND A FIX INSTEAD
Here is the complete tar for the FB21 build, I replaced the Sbl with the EG31 one so reset jigs will still work afterwards
Side note - If you having issues with drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers worked for me
Extract tar first, then flash tar file through the PDA option in Odin
D710_CODE_SPH-D710.FB21_CL159837_REV02_user_w_Sbl_EG31.tar.zip
And for those that just want the modem, here it is
E4GT_Modem_FB21.zip \ E4GT_Modem_FB21.tar - Zip must be flashed through a CWM based recovery & Tar must be flashed through the PHONE option in Odin
FAQ
If your having issues with Odin recognizing the phone after flashing this, use these instructions
Go to device manager, right click on the unknown device, update driver, click browse, let me pick from a list, select all(wait till it loads), find Samsung Co and install one of the ones that have modem in the name
first gonna flash right now and will post results later tonight, thanks calkulin

I thought mobile odin didn't flash modems?
no reason why it won't flash the rom though
Downloading this and flashing it. Going to try to use this as a daily driver until we have a more final version (tired of gingerbread, lol).
Edit: Just installed it and it's working great so far. Probably a dumb question, but this isn't rooted, correct?

You have to use odin to root... search for qbking videos on how to root the epic on gingerbread... or find the ec05.tar and use the one click root.... then upgrade cwm to 5.0.2.7 and flash away...

Or you can Odin in an EC05 prerooted tar, flash CWM5 and flash your ROM of choice. Here is one:

Wish I could help you with that. But I can help you with this sound piece of advice, if you manage to get that .zip, DO NOT FLASH IT UNTIL you flash the flash counter removal .zip, so they can't tell you ever rooted/flashed on your phone. After flashing that, than proceed to flash that stock .zip...all the best and good luck to you!

Edit 1:Uploading Flash-able SGH-T989 UVLH1 stock rom to Dev-host(20 minutes to finish upload) wait for confirmation i need to test it on my device 1st once is done uploading in the mean time i will make flash-able stock recovery and test it also.
Edit 2:Uploading done both rom and recovery, going to download now both and test it.

Ok testing completed, everything works as it should. The ROM zip will update your kernel to stock.
Might need to flash the UVLH1 radio 1st before flashing the stock recovery.
This is how I did it(tested it):
1. install/flash stock ROM 1st.
2. Once installation completed Reboot to custom recovery.
3. install/flash stock recovery.zip.
4. Power off to verified stock recovery.

I am assuming yes. As using Odin you just need the right file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767421
download the 6.5 .TAR file and follow the video.
put your phone in download mode.
open ODIN, make sure only auto reboot is checked
load .tar file into pda slot.
hook your phone up to the cable. (you'll see a yellow box with COM:xx) means your connected.
press start.
Wait until phone has rebooted. Good to go
Awesome I shall give that a shot after I read a couple more threads.

The safest custom recovery is EL26. Personally I use chris41g's. It can be found here. Just flash the tar using pc Odin, reboot into recovery, and you are good to go. However, make sure before you do that you save a stock(or custom) zip kernel of the rom build you are on so you can flash it once you are done in cwm. Personally, I would use Agat's kernel, flash it after you do your backup, that way you always have cwm good luck. I'm on Boost too. Let me know if you have any questions.

The link I attached has the EL26. I understand your frustration, but I assure you if you do it right, it is completely safe. But if you insist on not using it, you can use Mobile Odin since you are already rooted. It's in the play store, and worth every penny. But pc Odin is free . Your call. Either way, make sure you have a gc01 kernel in zip format to flash back to after your backup.

That's fine. That's what we're here for. I'd rather you ask pre-emptive questions and get it right than brick your phone by doing something wrong . Here's the link for the GC01. It has cwm too, so you can use it as your daily. And to answer your question, no, you don't need a "rooted" kernel. As a matter of fact, the kernel you have now is stock .

If you downloaded the zip, then yes. If you want a good, stable kernel that has custom recovery, let's do this. Download the tar of the GC01 and flash it using Mobile Odin. That way you don't have to use EL26 at all. . Just flash it, reboot into recovery, and cwm will be included in the GC01 kernel so you can do backups/restores with that.
