APK verificatikon - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I constantly flash ROMs and such and I've been having this problem. I have the FIFA 12 apk and I installed it on my TW ROM. Then I wiped the data/factory reset and system(ROM) and cache+Dalvik through TWRP. Then I installed CM10. So now when I install the apk it tells me that I can't play it on this device when I actually wiped everything so there shouldn't be anything telling me that it isn't verified through there. So I have tried titanium backup. I have tried plenty if things. But nothing works. Its the same thing for NFS Most Wanted. I went from having NFS on CM10 then I switched to TW and I had the problem even after restoring with titanium backup. If anyone can help. Thanks.

[Q] Titanium Pro FC's

I recently flashed the Super_Z2.4 rom, was running SR3.5. I have now developed an issue where Titanium force closes, the app will not even start. I have re-installed Titanium several times, thinking I may have a corrupt download, and even downloaded an older version from the dev's web site. I never had this issue with any of the SR roms, never had this problem at all. I am still tunning the kernel that came with the Super_Z rom. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would be great. Thank you.
Couple things to try:
Clear the cache for the TB app. Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Downloaded>TB - clear data and cache.
and/or
Uninstall TB, boot into recovery, run fix permissions from recovery, clear cache in recovery, clear dalvik in recovery, reboot, d/l TB from market.
I already tried running the fix permissions, from both Rom Manager and by rebooting into Clockwork. I just flashed back to my nandroid of SR3.5 and TB works perfectly there. I'm not sure if it is a rom issue or a kernel issue. I'm gonna PM the dev of the Super_Z rom and ask him, as I am not yet able to post in the dev forum to ask there.
Just flashed back to Super_Z and tried clearing the cache for TB, no dice....
Wow .... sounds like a ROM thing.

Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 market issue

Hello potential helpers in the CM community.
So long full days work or android updating story short, I was running 7.0.2.1 and updated to 7.0.3 with rom manager. I decided to not wipe all data, but to just clear the dalvik cache. After the update all the apps tried to reinstall again. I tried to do a titanium backup restore on top of that and everything froze up. I rebooted and tried again. Same thing happened. So i reverted to the nandroid 7.0.2.1 and did the entire thing over again but this time wiped the cache, and the same thing happened. So I wiped the data and cache, did a nandroid restore to the original 7.0.2.1 and then tried to do some different options. i changed up th order in which I did a restore, what cached I cleared, and anything I could think of. But Now I am stuck at either my nandroid 7.0.2.1 or 7.0.3. Both of these ROMs work fine with no issues EXCEPT whenever I try to install an app it fails. I have cleared the market app data and cache, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
Thanks
2 things.......
1. You should have posted this in the CM7 thread.
2. I would try reloading a fresh market .apk and see if that takes care of your issue. Usually just clearing cache and data will take care of those issues.

Also its good to make it a habit to flash ROMs in recovery after a cache and dalvik wipe instead of using RM

NP good luck, hopefully re-flashing market fixes your issues. You can find the .apk floating around XDA. Let me know if it work.
fixed
So I ended up just reverting back to the nandroid and then flashing 7.0.3 before I reflashed the market. However the market worked fine right after reflashed the new version of CM. I did not change anything from what I did in the past, but it is fixed. Thanks for your. help.

Anytime. Glad everything is back to normal.

Deleted apps?

I backed everything up this morning, did a full wipe and flashed another Rom to test. Well after I was done with that Rom I wiped again and restored my back up. When I opened the app drawer every installed app I had was gone. My home screen still had a couple icons for those apps but they weren't installed.
I wiped again flashed the backup a second time with no luck. Then I tried a previous backup and had the same issue. I flashed clockworkmod recovery and tried to restore a previous backup I made with that and still had the same issue.
I'm using synergy rls 1
More freedom kernel
Used RA recovery and clockwork
All of the apps were installed on the phone so they weren't on the SD card.
Has anyone had this issue before?

It happens every time to me. Until yesterday. I backed up using recovery instead of ROM Manager and all my apps were there when I restored. I guess just make sure you back up using Recovery, not ROM Manager. Or use Titanium Backup... That always works too.
that has happened to me before as well. I always use Recovery (AmonRa) for all my backups now and also titanium.

It's weird because all of my backups are through recovery. I've never had this issue till today. No matter how many times I restore my user data doesn't show up.

that that is strange. if you look at the nandroid backup files do you see a data partition file. if so is that file big enough to suggest that contains all of your apps? maybe your recovery is not backing up any apps so there's nothing to the restore later.

All backups show they have plenty of user data. What's even more weird its that I noticed while restoring that while its doing data I can see that it is actually flashing my info. As to where that info is after I boot up is still a mystery.

Are there any clues in the recovery log?

Rom setup help.

Does anyone know if there are videos showing you step by step how to actually setup a rom, once u have it installed? Last night I installed the sleeper rom, and I couldn't figure out how to get the phone dialer installed. Plus I started getting system force closes. I'm assuming that I should install the zip twice or 3 times right? But really, videos on rom setup would really help.

There are some videos listed in the OP of SleeperROM but doubt it will cover what you are looking for. Replacing the dialer requires pushing the file to system\app folder with Root Explorer. FC's are a sign of corrupted data. A Factory Data reset will clear all data and you can then restore some stuff from Titanium if you had a backup before flashing. Try to not restore data for anything unless you HAVE to have it, like memos or something like that.
so in that case, you think i should do a dalvik wipe, cache wipe and a factory reset before installing the sleeper rom?
by the way, what do you me "op"?

OP=Original Post which is Post #1 of the thread. I also read in there that it does not preserve data and you should do a full wipe of all 3 things before flashing for best results.
OP = original post (or first post). Yes, wipe everything before installing a ROM.
Edit: before installing most ROMs. Some of them are no-wipe, but i usually wipe anyway.

ok...i got it. now, if and when i reinstall the rom, would there be a problem installing the dialer from titanium backup? would there be any kind of conflict?

There shouldn't be. Sometimes Titanium is finicky about pushing system apps, but worth a try. If not pull it from a stock ROM and push it with Root Explorer.

[Q] built in buttons not working right

ok...so heres what happened. I recently updated my rom to thunderhawk III EI22 and dont get me wrong its a nice rom and very clean and snappy. but when i installed titanium backup pro and it said reboot required. when i rebooted and everything came back up and running again my home button and my search button (the ones built into the phone) just those wernt working. and ive tried to reboot again and they still didnt work, i tried removing the battery and that did nothing either, and i even tried to reinstall the rom and that did nothing as well. im kind of at a loss...any thoughts?
What did you restore with titanium? What rom were you previously on? It is best to restore apps individually, and only restore data on apps that you really need to.
Edit: did you wipe data before reinstalling? The rom will backup data before wiping itself and restore on install.

i was going to restore the app data but when i installed the program to do that it wanted me to restart my phone so i did and thats when things stopped working
Hmm, I think that happened to me (asking to reboot) once when I clicked too fast and didn't allow titanium root access. Usually it never asks me to reboot. I have never seen the keys stop working, and have flashed countless versions of random rom, and use titanium pro all the time. Have you tried clearing data in titanium? If all else fails, wipe everything and start clean again.

Go to the market and download titanium.. the go to ur apps one by one, and reinstall. When u flash the roms, u have to make sure that u do a clean wipe 3x
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Don't update titanium untill after u have installed ur apps.
