Long story.
First, I flash to Jelly Bean R29, then I found that my G-Sensor didn't work.
So I decided to try another rom, I try the Super Galaxy, but I found another problem when I try to transfer the rom file to my phone,I can't connect my DHD to my pc and other pc.
Then I returned to MIUI rom, which I have been using for nearly 2 years. and I fixed the G-Sensor,so just the USB problem left.
This morning I woke up, I found I can't use the Mobile Internet now.
What's going on ?
Can anyone help me with these problem ?
Did you full wipe before flashing the ROM?
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
I did full wipe everytime, and I found everytime I flash a new rom , always have one or two things wrong. Such as no signal, no wifi, no rotation, USB is always charging only.

Was your phone working fine before flashing it? Have you tried formatting all partitions except the sdcard?
If after changing roms your devices keeps behaving odd, then might be a hardware issue.

Not all parts of all roms work - hence in development ---- if you require fully working may i suggest back to stock

I was using miui rom, and everything is good, and I used the 4ext Touch Recovery. Last night try to flash back Miui again, now the internet is working, but much slower than normally it was before,Google Play keeps saying No Connection or Server Erros.
Haven't check if the USB working or not.
Thank for you advice.

I have a problem with MIUI rom. Some days ago, my phone suddenly had FC, now, my phone run really slow and laggy... If I turn off the screen, my phone won't wake up, only four button in the bottom light up.
I wiped everything in CMW (system, data, and cache, also sd-card) but it doesn't work.
The fresh install had the same issues
I have this problem only with MIUI rom
any help
You probably need to provide more info on the issue. What version of MIUI are you running? Have you tried a fresh download of the ROM?

i have tried from 1.8.5 to 1.9.2.
it's very weird
this guy has the same problem with me, maybe he can explain better than me
http://forums.miui.us/showthread.php?3740-Display-won-t-wake-from-sleep
Hey guys, I flashed 1.819 yesterday and everything was going great. The ROM ran smoothly and I was having no issues at all. When I woke up the next morning my display would not turn back on. Every time I tried to turn on the display the soft lights would light up but the display remained unresponsive. The phone still seemed functional as I could hear e-mail and sms notifications coming through.
When I rebooted my phone it was abnormally slow.. mounting the sd card and syncing seemed like it was taking forever and the launcher was very jittery.. if I let my display time out it would not come back on and I'd be forced to pull the battery and try again.
I performed a full wipe through clockwork recovery (everything, including wiping system, data, and cache in 'mounts and usb') and reinstalled 1.819. The fresh install had the same issues.. if I let my display time out I wouldn't be able to turn it back on. I thought I was having some wonky hardware issue but after flashing my previous sense rom and everything is working perfectly.. so I'm pretty much scratching my head here. My phone was kickass for one day and became allergic to MIUI overnight!

Have you tried using a different kernal such as Tiamat or JD's Kernal?
May want to try that. I had good luck with Miui and Tiamat (ran it for a week)

Does this happen immediately after you flash? Or are you installing applications to get back to your preferred setup and then seeing the performance problems?
If it's the latter, I'd run the rom alone and see if it runs normally. Then install your applications individually until you encounter issues.

since we are talking about MIUI issues. I am running the latest version of MIUI with the JDKernal.
The camera has color distortion lines when I take a picture. The picture comes out fine but when taking it the image shows the distortion. It did not do that before so I can only assume its something with the camera in the ROM.
Anyone else see this?

Hey,
i'm using the RunnyMede Xtreme v2.1.2.
Everything is working except this little problem.
If my phone is connected to the pc (usb cable) there's the notification about which type of connection i want to establish. Then i'll pick some random method (problem happens on all of them). After i applied the method and i only even touch the statusbar again, the phone like "reconnects" and asks for the connection type again. If i would set "Only Charge" for the standard connection type it is atleast working like this, but if i switch to harddrive again and then touch the statusbar again i automaticly puts the "Only Charge" method again.
Dont answer like: "Don't pull down the statusbar while having a connection established" because that wont help.
Thanks for any advice!
if your using stock kernel, try flashing rcmix or virtuous. if not, i have no idea
i Think its kernel related the virtuous is better cz the rom is based on the build of virtuous
Hmmmm
1) For sure is not kernel related. I tried all.
2) For sure is not ROM related. I tried all sense 3.5.
3) For sure I'm not sure what it is.
cable?

No sorry. The phone is brand new.^^
It's not kernel related, i tried 2 different one's already. And the built in kernel in the ROM.
I am facing also this problem, as far as I know, it is common to all GB ported ROMs....
i dont think so. im using rcmix 4 and it does not happen.

I have the same problem, but I found a quick fix for it: reboot the phone into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache. This solves the problem for a few day, but then suddenly it happens again.
It's really strange, no matter what ICS rom i use, WiFi doesn't work at all! I turn on WiFi and it gets turned on, and after pressing Scan it says No available WiFi detected... i have tried various ROMs, latest updates, including cm-ics, IceColdSandwich, MIUI us, PrimoS.. having the same problem
However, it works on any other non-ics rom, like LeeDroid, MIUI Android, Ultimate Ace..
I've also used WIFI Manager app still no luck..
please help.. thanks.
Are you full wiping? I do get wifi with most/all ics roms. That is the only type of connection I use. Is it that you don't get any connection at all? Or does it turn on for a while? Is your router working properly? Only happens with ics and not gb?
Do a full wipe, download the file again, make sure the checksum matches and most impirtantly, check the op ti see if that is a known issue. However, most of ths ics have working wifi.

What ICS ROM do you have?
I don't know why, but "dirty reflash" worked for me.
#1 Full wipe and flash the ROM.
#2 Setup and repeat rebooting until the error happens.
#3 Reboot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache.(just to make sure)
#4 Reflash the ROM w/o full wipe and reboot.
#5 Enjoy

Sorry for my bad English.
Hey guys,
My gps isn't working accurate.
First off it worked pretty good but when I changed to a custom rom (android revolution Hd) it didn't anymore.
When i use google maps, it takes a damn long time to get a fix on my position and when it does it stays accurate for about 5 seconds and then it starts to change to a street next to me then to another side... etc. . Also when i am standing still it jumps for my location to 50meters ahead of me and behind me, changing my speed to 20km/h ... I think you get the problem. Also the same problem on navigon (navigation software) it is constanly rerouting me because of the inaccurate position. So its not an application issue.
I flashed the rom as it should be, with boot.img through fastboot and zip file in cwm. Except for the gps there are no other issues.
Then i flashed the original rom in cwm with boot.img in fastboot, still the same problem.
I then tried CM10 and it became even worse... every 20 seconds it gave me a position update in maps and with navigon there wasn't even a update because it couldn't get a fix.
And i also used fasterfix on every rom except the original one (not rooted) to set my gps to europe.pool.ntp.org or something like that...
Now i am trying to revert to android revolution HD but first my battery has to be charged above 10% and it goes damn slow because of the bricked boot (made a mistake while changing form CM10 to And rev HD) Can't flash the and rev HD yet but does somebody in the meantime know a solution ?
Somebody ??
Could it be a problem with the kernel ? because i didn't flash one separatly
Does somebody has a solution ?
Unfortunately, I also have the same problem with rom coredroid and igo primo aid to some expert please
thanks
I had the same issue when I moved from Stock to the Modaco Ir5 Vanilla ROM, my GPS didn't even go as far as finding my location inaccurately, it didn't work at all. Hence I couldn't use my maps/navigation.
I am now running the Slim Bean ROM and everything is working great. I am no expert, but have you always done the usual 'full wipe data > clear cache partition > clear Dalvik cache' while flashing new ROMs?
For your charging issue, maybe try this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646135
My phone is now allright but you i'll try the rom you are speaking about and see if the gps works better.
and... Also tried another kernel (eternity) but it still didn't work
I had this issue and had it fixed after sending my phone to service 3 times.
The first time they only did a reset, didn't help.
Second time they changed the wifi, GPS module, didn't help.
I sent them a recording of the problem on the third time. This time they changed the motherboard and it finally got fixed.
Remember to tell them that the issue is specially visible when GPS and WiFi are both on.

This may help - GPS Fix.
It worked for me, but not for the faint hearted.
Hi everyone.
I'm having a little problem with my Xperia S, it's kind of new (2 weeks of use).
When I'm using normally the cellphone, everything works great, but if don't use it for a long time and I grab it faster and unlocked it, sometimes the cellphone freezes! Well, not exactly freezing, it still works but VERY slowly, almost like freezing. I can't turn it off with power button, I had to user Power + Volume button to turn it off/restart it.
That happened in first week, so I unlocked bootloader and flash it another kernel (advanced stock kernel), and the problem was there.
Later I made a backup of the firmware (I updated to its last version with PC Companion, ICS btw) and flashed a custom ROM (XTXperience 4), and the problem was still there.
Yesterday I flashed a Generic ICS ROM downloaded from XDA Server using Flashtool, everything went normal until today, when the problem happened again.
I've been searching here in XDA and Google and still nothing seems clear of what is causing the problem, if it's the sim card or maybe a hardware problem. I'm going to relock the bootloader today, and I will try to repair the phone using SUS.
What is causing the cellphone to freeze? Hope someone help me with this. Thanks in advance!
btw, sorry about my english, hope you understand most of what I wrote
Well in my experience,
The phone freezes because it is too hot,
Or the RAM memory suddenly drops.
I mean sudden ur phone's RAM memory is 0.
I'm not sure too.
But I think reflashing the kernel, or flash other kernel will fix the problem
Try it

What ics firmware did you flash? And did you do a complete wipe when flashing?
Sent from my Jellybean Xperia S
I've flashed other kernel and yes, I do a complete wipe when I flash another ROM, via Flashtool or CWM.
I've been thinking of rolling back to GB to see what happens.
Yesterday my phone freezes like 2 or 3 times in less than 15 minutes. First time I reboot the phone and it was ok like 5 minutes, then it freezes. I reboot again the phone and happened again.
Its not even hot or using a lot of RAM, it always has like 250 or 200mb free

No, this is happening since the first boot of the phone. When I turned it on the first time it happened, and I had to search how to force a reboot because I didn't know how to do it LOL
It doesn't happen very often, but when it does is very frustrating!
Try flashing a new rom, but wipe the system partition too? I always do that to ensure a fully clean install.

I'm thinking in flashing a non based stock rom, like CM or MIUI, because I flashed XTXperience before and the freezing happened.
Oh, and the problem still exists. I believe Wi-Fi connection maybe it's the problem, I'm testing some things right now.
Had this too using Supercharger (by zep) but after few setting it's gone. Maybe you should try to run the script ?
It was with stock rom and advanced kernel v15/16.L
Well, I was on 6.1.A.2.45, I relocked the bootloader and an update changed the firmware to 6.1.A.2.55 using SUS without wiping data and the problem was still there, so I repaired the phone with SUS, it erased everything and the problem was gone for like 2 days. Today it happened again.
