Usually you can buy unlock codes for samsung phones pretty easy. Search the internet and you'll find a service.

most GN are not locked. Try another sim from a different provider and it should ask you for a code. If not, its not locked!

SO you probably bought a SIM locked SIII.
Example: You bought a T-Mobile GS3 and are trying to use a AT&T sim card. You need the carrier unlock code from the originating carrier that issued the phone.
What company is your sim card from? And what company is on the back of the phone?

Samsung Galaxy's (i9xxx/N7000) so far have been very Easy to unlock to use with a different carrer, just using "little tricks".
It's the same with Gt-N7100 and its Carrier Flavored Versions ?
.........
Another Question how do I to purchase fro T-Mobile or AT&T w/o suscription (I'm Aboard the US )?
Galaxsim unlock....2 euros...2 minutes..but you must root your phone. The app is on google play.

Why not tell your carrier that you are going overseas and want to use your phone and ask them to unlock it I did and T-Mobile sent me the code for my phone at no charge. My problem is coming up with a non-tmobile sim card.
thanks but i tried that a while back. no such options for me

mobilicity say they do not offer unlocking services and I do not want to pay money to untrustworthy sites.
