I've been running this for 2 days,all i can say is its almost perfect,ive gotten 20+ hrs on a single charge,cant wait for cam and video fix and a few other things and it will be perfect,VT never stops making my jaw drop in disbelief at the stuff they push out!!! : )

Sense 4 is not clunky like 3 at ALL! 5 screens, 1 AWESOME home clock! no laggy animations!
cant wait for camera! Draw Something & Cut The Rope works on it also!
fyi they say to let it charge to 100% for awhile so it can calibrate the battery.

Awesome! Is there a way to incorporate quick settings?

Lol I used for about an hour loved it one bug I can report is Widgets refresh a lot also some graphic glitches with message Widget

I agree 100%. If they wanted it here then they themselves should've posted it. Can't say I blame them in their choice to leave xda. The dev section isn't a development section anymore. It's a Q&A section.

Internet is all about sharing but i have to agrre with the fact that you should ask developers permissions to post their work elsewhere, that's said, if ANY Virtuos team member will contact me for taking down this thread i'll be forced to close it.

I'm running this rom right now. I'm impressed with the performance of ICS, but I'm not really happy with Sense 4.0. It's not as "pretty" as Sense 3.6 and some of the visual effects that are supposed to be there aren't. Google voice recognition is broke, camera doesn't work, widgets are missing (e.g., Twitter), Bluetooth may not work 100%, and Wifi calling is broke but can be fixed with the following:

The I don't like HTC's changes to the Sense widgets that I've grown to love. I'm hoping Virtuous continues to work on Affinity. Until a more stable Sense 3.6 rom is released, this will be my DD.

Wifi calling is broke but can be fixed with the following:

Because the Virtuous Team LEFT XDA. Would it make any sense for them to formally leave a forum, and then a few days later give permission for random users of that forum to post their work? Unlikely.

grimey01 did NOT port this ROM to the MT4G. He simply copied the OP from Virtuous' thread on RootzWiki....

Sweet Jesus, who gives a flying fark? It's a rom for christsakes, not the launch codes for NORAD. Stop trying to censor stuff. This is the Internet...where information is supposed to flow freely.

Until someone from Virtuous team complains let's just assume this rom is fine being posted here.

This Rom is great my current Dd but I would never switch again if the camera worked (need for my kids and new baby) can't believe this is an alpha gonna b nice to c wats next any way a few bugs ive seen are music app doesn't show updated album art on widget or lockscreen, obviously camera, no voice nav or search, and after fixing permissions in recovery 4ext my contact pictures no longer visable

[Q] AOSP Device tree for One X

A couple of things need to happen in order to port aosp to one x
1) some work needs to be started to get an AOSP device tree for the One X (I'm sure someone's already started this)
2) that tree needs to be very stable and the authors of it (or someone the authors give permission to) maintain AOKP and get it working
-or-
Someone wants to donate (or start a donation drive) for us to get a One X (or two! ) and have us try and work on getting AOKP on it. No promises will be made.

Good lord...the phone has been out for less than a month. Relax guys. AOSP will come as it does to every phone worthy of it. There are still many weird things going on with this phone that need to be worked out before people start whining about AOSP ROMs.
I don't think starting a donation drive is a good idea as that has ended badly on this forum before.

I've been attempting to port AOKP from the Asus Transformer Prime. It seems he may have gone a similar route if its showing tablet references.
Hopefully his work will encourage more developers to appear from the woodwork doing similar things, as I've yet to see a single stable release from Trip, despite his obvious developmental literacy.

He deleted his twitter account. I sent him an email, I'll report back if I hear from him. He's where most/all our HTC leaks came from as well as most Sense based ROMs are based on his deoxes.

This is very strange indeed, I only installed this rom a few days ago. Went looking for an update and it is gone. Usually people have the courtesy to say they will stop supporting it, and the fact no xda mods have commented is also very strange. Why can't users download it even if it's unsupported? And why are there trolls in this thread..

not sure but could be HTC tracking the RUUs. They went berserk when the JB beta was leaked (nothing to do with football). wouldn't surprise me if its them flexing their muscles.

I think that, if this your only reply in this thread, you should not reply at all. It is a question from a fellow one x user who would like to know something about ather roms and the reason why people choose that particular rom. If you don't want to answer this question, don't reply. Furthermore, your reply has absolutely nothing to do with the qwuestion.
OT: i currently use Renovate unoficial1. The rom is flying and i like where it is going.

i was on renovate and had no complaints with that rom,just changed to revolution hd with tripnraver kernel and im impressed ,guess best to try them all.

He is not asking which one is the best. He is asking fellow members who used maximus which one they think is close to that ROM so he can try a new one

Thanks for all your opinions guys, but let's keep it on topic and not discuss HTC/Football/maXimus, otherwise this thread will get closed as all others.
And for the record, I'm not being disrespectful at all. If you think I am, than I guess everyone's disrespectful when showing any kind of support on the particular thread of the ROM they are using, since they are all public and all. But that is nonsense. Everyone has their preference, period.
I liked the simplicity of maXimus, not a million tweaks, not a million features and changes, and I also liked the OTA feature (I know a couple of them have it too, but not all of them, I think). But mostly, it was about the simplicity really. When I get to a ROM topic and I see a bunch of graphics, lots of text, warnings, links, whatever... I just lose interest on that particular ROM.
So, I'm looking for something simple like maXimus and this question is only directed to maXimus users. I'm not asking everyone what's they're favorite ROM or what they think it's best, I never even used that word in the original question. All maXimus users picked that ROM over all others for a reason, maybe we have that in common and I'm just curious what they will pick next since maXimus is probably not coming back.

I have used the maximus ROM's since I got my One X. And for now, the only ROM that is close enough to maXimus is InsertCoin. It has the same battery life, same power. Plus, on InsertCoin you get some cool Mods from lyapota. Oh, and on InsertCoin you'll get the same benchmark scores as on maXimus, if that's important for you

I think I might try out an AOSP ROM.
There's one with experimental big data support, but I need soft menu button support.

Does anyone have MaximuS ROM ZIP on his PC? I need it and now when the thread is gone i cant download it from nowhere

For now, MaXimus is still up to date and if it works fine for you, why change. But I have to confess I already chanced myself, to ARHD. I don't notice any difference in daily use and batterylife seems about the same.
