I've just seen you also posted here in Q&A so I've deleted that post as this has more details. Please don't cross post across multiple sections, once is enough.

Since your s-off it dosent really matter. With s-off rooting is as easy as flashing cwm thru hboot, and then superuser thru recovery.

Well not even the latest ota is 100% stable, it even has the 2am bootloop issue. However in my opinion any stock or stock based rom is going to be the most stable. I feel stock 4.06.605.2 rooted with the ota notifications stopped is the stablest you can get. But I'm sure ten other people would have 10 different opinions.

Is there one of these images that isnt from the engineering evo? Im trying to get one that wont tell my phone it is an engineering phone, because for some reason my market will not displayed paid apps at all.
Thanks
out of curiosity, why are you running an engineering rom instead of flashing a stock rooted or custom?
Im not running the rom, but its the engineering bootloader. Id like to return the bootloader to the stock one so that it might restore the correct market.

What does the bootloader on the phone have to do with what Market it displays?
Oh, wait... that's right. NOTHING.
If you've put some ROM on it that has a signature not recognized, that's your own lookout.
Hey thanks for being a **** but maybe there is just something you arent aware of. I have flashed about 10 roms, all of them with the problem that the market doesnt have a paid section in it. People have indicated that it might be because for some reason my phone is being displayed as an engineering model, which is why i wanted to return the stock bootloader. My problem is unique, literally nobody has been able to be of any help, and you being an ass doesnt help.
Im no idiot ive been doing this for a while, and it isnt that my specific rom is messed up.

I dont get it.

Guys,
Hope I'm not hijacking this, seems the original OP query has been answered. I'm in the same boat, DHD speaker has died for no apparent reason. I've flashed various ROMs in the hope sound starts working again (and it did, for about 5 minutes, then disappeared again)...
So, I'm going to have to send it back to 3 for repair. Based on my initial experience with 3 CS, I don't want to give them ANY excuse to not repair the phone. So, I've flashed various versions of "Stock roms", latest being the one you mentioned in this threed.
They all work, but the radio version seems to not get downgraded, I still have 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.15_M3, I *THINK* this is a much more recent radio (reccommneded for CoreDroid 3.0 I think), and also, the kernel, doesn't seem to be the stock version.
Can anyone poiny me to the stock versions of the radio and the kernel, and where I could download them, please?.
Thanks.

Hello everyone!
I would greatly appreciate if someone could show the right way to get my phone fully functional;
SPRINT HTC ONE M8
GSM SIM UNLOCKED for use on GSM networks
S-OFF
Rooted
TWRP
HBOOT 3.18.0.0000
RADIO 1.08.20.0612_4
CID-11111111
software version: 2.16.654.4
android: 4.4.3.
Issue:
1. I can not install any OTA updates, and the notification keeps popping out.
2. Mobile data is just not working properly even though I did everything as said here;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one-m8/general/enabling-3g-umts-countries-t2847461
As I did my research, it was some kind of a major bug on this series of Sprint M8 phones with breakdowns in mobile data. However, since I can not get any updates, the problem perists.
I tried installing custom ROM's, but so far ARHD 22 didn't even boot and LiquidSmooth couldn't detect the SIM card at all.
I know there are quite a few tutorials and "how-to" threads explaining all you need to know about RUU, cusotm ROM's, etc. However if someone could tell me what exactly to do and in which order (return to stock, then update?) I would greatly appreciate it.
Many many thanks!

Easiest way to get it back to stock is just flash the Sprint H/K RUU. You can download it from HERE. Just run it and connect your phone when prompted and follow the instructions (I'd probably change your CID back to the Sprint one first to be on the safe side but as you're S-OFF it shouldn't be needed). You might also need HTC Sync Manager installed. If so, you can get it HERE
This process will wipe the phone completely so back up any data first but other than that you'll at least be back to stock and then troubleshoot any issues from there
Thanks
Many thanks to everyone.
Any chances of loosing the SIM UNLOCK when going back to stock completely?
Nope, that shouldn't be touched but as I've not had a SIM-locked device in years I can't say for certain

Why not 34? Lol Sprint is up to date on its software you could just update to the lollipop firmware, and I could pull some of the files I've got to see if I can help you get it running, I'm on Leedroid right now so the process should be the same for ARHD.

You can or you can go to the Sprint android development and flash the updated recovery since you are s-off and it'll permit you to flash lollipop roms without many issues but there is still the files that need to be modified for ARHD to work correctly like the boot.img and a few others.

Power+vol up for about 15 seconds then power+vol down to get into recovery. You cant flash it unless you swap out Sprint specific files otherwise you'll get what just happened or boot directly into boot loader.
Like I mentioned I can pull the files together and see if I can get it working for Sprint tonight when I get home but until then flash either fluent Rom or stock if you want lollipop or just flash bad boyz if you don't mind kitkat

For me, the biggest issue is the mobile data breakdowns... I know I read somewhere a while ago it was an issue with some Sprint M8 models. I would like to get everything working w/o problems since it is GSM unlocked, and via QPST I unlocked all the bands.

Maybe that could be the final solution to all the problems?
Hey everyone.. I recently flashed the stock firmware on my previously rooted htc one m8 but I think that the firmware is currupt and is not functioning properly.. can anyone please guide me how can i re-flash the stock firmware on my phone?
Hi,
Thanks For Using XDA Assist Please Standby When we move your post here HTC One (M8) Help and Troubleshooting
Good Luck!
Details details details.
What version (CID)?
What did you flash exactly, and how?
Why do you say its not functioning properly?
the device formatted itself on its own twice.. and then sometimes some features in the notification bar get locked.. like the brightness and power saver mode and i cant use them.. then the add type thingy about HTC zoe keeps popping up every 3,4 mins.. no matter how many times i close it it keeps popping up again.. same with the little green pop ups which are supposed to help new users when you buy a new phone.. they keep popping up again and again... i keep hard resetting the phone when eventually one in ten times the phone starts working fine again...

Looks like you already asked the question in the thread you linked.
To flash to stock again, just run the RUU again.
Should i follow the same process again with a different RUU file? and my device was rooted back then but now it isnt.. should i do anything different now?

Just flash what you have before creating your own solutions. Or download it again, if you think the file may have been corrupted during transfer.
You can't run another carrier's RUU with s-on, if that is what you are asking to do.
Rooted or not doesn't matter for RUU.
no no.. not another carriers RUU.. i meant the proper RUU file according to my phone but downloaded from a different source since the last one was currupted..
BTW would you suggest converting my phone to GPE?? Is that process easy??

Yes, it was answered in your other thread.
I've been through a lot with this in the past 48 hours, and I finally got back to a bootable state. I feel like i'm almost there.
After the upgrade to 3.39.531.7 I couldnt get past app optimization and my device boot looped through the phase on 3 separate ROMS and a backup. Finally I found a ROM that atleast gets be to a home screen and allows me to move around, but I dont have wifi or cellular radios. I'm S-ON, so theres no reverting the firmware and I'm hoping that a fresh backup of 3.39.531.7 will get me on my feet again.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

No problem! I was about to go the s-off route, but found this solution moments before doing so. For anyone else in the situation that we were in, simply download the TWRP files and restore through recovery.
