I'm trying to clean out old apps from my play store account...apps from 3 years (4 phones) ago. I understand how to delete them but is there an easier way via pc? When I delete one from my account via phone/play store it takes me all the way back to the top and I have to scroll all the way back down to get where I left off!

You can remove unwanted apps en masse from Play My Apps by long tapping an unwanted app...which enters multiple select mode, then tap on each of your unwanted apps and hit the check box.

Hey Guys.
Just wanted to ask, if there´s a possibility to delete old apps that are still shown in the playstore. want a better overview over my apps. there are still apps listed from older devices. want to clean up a bit, after a fullwipe i even would have got a better overview which apps to install.
thx in advance
l-viz
No, but they're the last apps shown.

I find this very annoying as well as I try and uninstall tons of apps

They should at least give us a way to change how the list is organized.
I can't even see all of the apps I've ever installed online. The list stops at F.

Because there's so many, mine stops at M. If you go to Order History (or something similar), you'll see every app you've downloaded in chronological order.

Known issue for Android app
Hey, I can't post the link (I'm new), but if you google "delete old apps google play store," the first entry is Known issues for Android apps.
"Deleting apps from My Apps/My Orders
At this time, there is no way to delete records of old apps either on the Google Play website (play.google.com) or from the My Apps section of the Google Play Store app.
We know that some users are looking for a way to delete old apps from Google Play, and we'll certainly take this into account as we work to improve the Google Play experience in the future."
Guess we'll have to wait.
I apologise if this is old news, but I just discovered it. I don't know about others, but installing all my old apps from the Play store is a major PITA. I scroll down, select the app to install, install, go back, and .. the list is back at the top and has to load every single item again and make me scroll down to find where I was in the list. The air is blue after doing this twenty times with a hundred to go! (where is my :grrr: smiley?)
Accidentally I turned the Nexus on its side, and found the landscape mode. The list does not go away when you select an item. Peace is restored. My meds cost goes down dramatically.
Like I said, sorry if this is old news, but if it prevents just one person going through what I was going through, it is worth me posting

I think modaco rom has a legacy play store. I am not 100% sure but i think it show you all your purchased apps.

I'm using this more and more, especially when looking for apps on one device to another.

I used a bit of a workround
I installed App Back Up & Restore on my TF101 and backed up the Apps. The programme creates a specifc folder on the device called (iirc) App_Backup_Restore
I then installed the App on the my N7 and ran a backup. That created the same folder on the N7 but without 'my' apps. I then used my PC as a go-between to transfer the TF101 apps to the relevant folder of the N7. I then 'restored' the Apps I wanted the program
Worked a treat and avoided the need to hunt round Play Store to find the ones I wanted

I agree, this is getting much better.
Appbrain Market app also allows you to install all previously installed apps (if you had to reset your device) or that you have on another device.
Titanium backup is the gold standard. The only use for the play store is to load TB.
BSW G-Note
^^^^thats the one! And get the paid version if you can. Batch restore is awesome.

I noticed this happening too. Must be a bug in the latest version of Play Store. Driving me crazy.
Good to know landscape doesn't do this.

Is it possible to sort the apps in your Library by purchased? I have bought loads of apps over the years and I would love to see what apps I have that I cant remember buying.
Buy when you go onto the Play Store Under My Android Apps/Other apps in my library Its just a list with zero order
How do you guys deal with this?
Thanks
Take it no one has this problem.
You might be able to on the play store website, it would be useful to do this on the app though..

Its such a pain!!! the really old app store (before play store) had it default so you can just see the apps you brought.
If you press menu and then my apps you can swipe across to see all the apps you've installed, no way to sort though.

I find this very Odd Google not put this option on both website or app They is loads of apps I bought on my last phone, that I cant remember if they were good to install again on my OneX. Having this simple option on sorting apps is very much needed.
Well, you can visit the website from your phone and hit the install button.
I have used this previously but I'm not sure if it has been updated recently. It might be worth asking Paul if you can't get it to work.

Edit... it still works. Reboot your phone if you get any issues when you first install the apk.

You not understanding what we talking about. Yes you can go to site and even install from phone, But every single app I have install be it free or payed is mixed together in one big list. So a simple sort button would be great.
Do we have a list of apps that are safe to remove from our note 2's that won't affect day to day functionality? I'm new to the device and it had v about 3 times as many system .apks as my sgsII had lol.

You can remove anything that has, to do with AT&T. Navigator, AT&T hot spot etc.
Not sure if your rooted or not. But if you are, and your going into the phone system deleting stuff. Just make sure not to delete anything that has to do with Google!
Another thing you can do without rooting. Is you can disable any app you choose to. And it will not show up in the app drawer!
Just my 2¢
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Xparent SkyBlue Tapatalk 2
I would hope on Sprint phone, there isn't anything with AT&T on it, LOL
I don't think there is a list. As the above eluded to, if you're rooted, which I assume is the case, make a backup of everything with Titanium Backup. So if you delete something you shouldn't have, you can restore without having to do a Nandroid restore; I would confirm your Nandroid backup actually works too. You may not realize till later that you delete something you shouldn't have. I've Google Play bork all of sudden days later when I tried going into it, and after removing several other items.
I haven't had issues with:
Gmail
Goolge Plus
Samsung Media Hub
Kies
Yahoo News
Yahoo Finance
VPN Client (this is waste since Android has it build in)
Voicemail
Trim
Google Talk
Sprint Zone
SNS (has a facebook icon, but don't know what it does)
Samsung Apps
Popup Browser
MyFiles
MusicFX
Music Player
Music Hub
HTML Viewer
Game Hub
Favorite Contacts
Dropbox
Allshare
any and all wallpapers
You can remove Youtube too. You'll just need to use a web browser install to access it.
Some of the apps I removed were because I use a different app to do the same function such as K9 email, Google Music and ES File Explorer. I usually remove Downloads, but keep the download manager. I believe downloads is just a shortcurt to the download directory, which can be accessed easily with the file explorer app.
I'm just usually weary of the TB listing that start with "com.". I think those are more system applications.
Beyond that, it's trial and error.
If you're unsure about something, but want to test it, you can always try freezing it in Titanium Backup as well. It'll still be there, but the will inaccessible for use on the phone till unfrozen.
Mod moved me to the sprint forum from at&t haha. Thanks for the help ive been slowly debloating this phone.

While I study for the GRE, I do a lot of switching between OneNote and some other app ( eg dictionary ). Considering the slowness of loading recent apps, it gets a bit annoying considering the number of times I need to switch between the two. Hoping for a way to switch between the two most recent apps without actually going into recent apps.
Can either app work in multi view?
Onenote is for reading so would rather avoid having a split view

You could try MW enabler (Search for it in the play store) It doesn't require root, and it would allow you to take one (or both) of the apps and shrink them down into a bubble, that you could easily open and close and hide. In your situation it might be an option.
There are some limitations due to it not needing root... the 2 biggest are that it has to uninstall and reinstall the app... you will lose whatever you have unless you have it backed up somewhere (wouldn't think its a big deal for a dictionary) and you need to turn OFF auto updating for those apps, because if they update from the play store you will lose the multi window/bubble feature until you re-activate it.
Yeah not sure if I like that option thanks for the info. If it irritates me enough the next few days I will likely reconsider

Didn't know this was possible without root. Awesome! And it removes it from the list of installed apps for you so no fear of auto updates.

Give switchr a try. l set it up in "Flow" mode and use a right side edge trigger. Seems to work well for switching between applications.
Umm just drag your finger down and in from the top right corner of the screen while in app. Then you can minimize it to a bubble or have multiple apps open at once on the screen.
right you can windowize the app... then all apps that are windowed can be iconized by pressing the home key.
I'll have to watch a video on YouTube to see what you're referring to. New to this whole multi window thing
