I was on ParanoidAndroid 4.1.2. Battery was not the best. I dont really care if im on GB, ICS, or JB. I just need really good battery life because of where I work. So far Calks 3.0 and Blazer 4.1 have been the best. Im just looking for more tweaks I guess you could say.
There are some tweaks posted for blazer ics by tdunham. Other than that, neither of the roms are updated anymore (closest thing is re-calk).

I use Starburst Rom with Exp build of Lostkernel. Although all of the roms/kernel are good and work well. I like the AOSP rom because it has a nice ics them you can download on it.

Using starburst rom v1.9.5 and zedomax kernel v3. Its awsome!
I really like viper rom.
I would actually like a good enough answer to this too. But here's mine.
At first I used Zedomax v4.1 OC Kernal because I wanted the overclock. It worked extremely well.
Then I wanted a ROM, so I got Starburst and have used it since 1.8. The only real problems I have had with Starburst (currently using 1.9.5), are that I get a random reset of the phone that goes straight to the lockscreen (and has to scan media again, search for signal, and resets all my apps). That's actually my only real problem with it.
If anyone has any reasons another ROM is better than Starburst, please reply or message me.

Try setting the Lockscreen to none. I think there may be a bug with the Lock Mod that's included in Starburst. It may fix your reboot issue.

Yeah, he said put it on Rotary. But I dislike it. And I wanted the Android stock puzzle one, but I'll try rotary for now, and switch to none if it still happens.

I'm currently running ViperROM v2.2 and LOSKernelExp 1.0.0.8. ROM is super fast, battery life is great. Very impressed. Dev is very active on the forums and responsive to questions etc. Also ran Starburst for a bit. No complaints if you perfer stock.
The absolute best rom for this device is strongsteves odex rom. Chris's EL26 kernel is baked in. Very smooth, never an issue with L.O.S, and the guy updates like twice a week. Super dedicated...BY FAR THE BEST ROM!!! (I have run them all) I have two E4GT's. One is constantly playing with new roms, the other is full time strongsteve. Hope this helps
I was always preferable to calkulins. I still like it. but I am on blu kuban now. all I have to say is it runs freaken awesome with great battery life. I am also using the hitman rogue kernel because I wanted epic touch recovery goodness.
Calkulins with rogue kernal is the best in my opinion but most people will tell you to flash them all and decide I did

StrongSteve's all the way....enough said

We are talking 2 different ballgames. Best odexed strongsteve's (even if you odex zip another ROM) Best deodexed Calkulin's and NoName (but I haven't tried the new bunch like maddoggin's and Rujelus, Phantom, etc. If strongsteve had multiple themes or colors of his ROM he would have a huge portion of the users but that's too much work for one person. I kid you not, I have flashed at least his last 12 builds and have NEVER had a reboot, force close or freeze. Now when you have a deodexed ROM and flash a theme, if you have a problem, how do you determine if it is the ROM or theme unless you ran the ROM as released for a while. Really, its all a matter of personal preference.

Blu Kuban is Awesome
Rom Updater makes it is to stay up with changes
I have zero Problems
Fast
Great Battery Life
and the looks is Awesome
+ Blu Kuban is easily the best ICS Rom, both in stability and performance. I have had very few issues with the ROM and ROM Updater is awesome. Run it with Calk's Kernal for best performance IMHO.
As far as the best theme-ability, with good stability and performance, AOKP ROM is the best. Run it with the latest AOSP kernel.
Watch for the update tonight

So I've had the Unnamed Rom v101. I am always getting the update for el29. Now my GPS isn't working, so I think its time to upgrade.
I'm looking for a good close to stock Rom with not alot of bugs. Seems like all the ics Rom have to many bugs.
What do you guys recommend?
Honestly. When I run GB. I run the stock deodexed EL29 and then flash the HotSpot mod on top of it. The only reason I run the deodexed is cause I have my own stock mms.apk that I like to use so it make it easy to change it out. Then with Tegrak I undervolt it and have zero issues along with killer battery life. That is what I do.
Now as for a one flash EL29 ROM, I would have to recommend either Calks or Phantom Hackers "Blazer". They both run really well. And anything by Team TNZ is pretty rock solid too.
Blazer ROM
My vote is definitely for Blazer ROM. Stable, FAST, great battery life. Used Unnamed for a while (great rom), but decided to upgrade to EL29. Flashed Blazer and Calk's 5 row launcher, and never looked back. It looks sharp with stock theme and like I mentioned earlier it's very stable and fast. Currently on Calk's ICS rom but Blazer is one of my go to nandroid backups.
Calkulin that is all
Its you want a theme other than stock I recommend blazer its what mostly on

Calkulins. Either his custom EL29 or his custom FC07. His ICS build isn't that buggy from my experience, but to each his own.

Blazer4
ICS Roms are still beta any way you look at it so yes you will most likely run into issues with them. Also why didn't you update to unnamed 2.01?
Great info. Thanks alot!
Im getting bored of touchwiz. Anyone know any Stock gb rom? I need a very stable one with a good battery life. currently running Blazer

Stock gingerbread? You mean without mods? Cause that's still pretty much Touchwiz. Or are you talking about AOSP gingerbread

If you're want the stock look with the tweaks, Calk's GB 3.0 is the way to go. It also comes with go launcher which I highly recommend over touchwiz anyway.

Hey guys, I just switched from my Evo 4g to the E4GT and rooted it running EL29. I was wondering what you guys would recommend doing from here rom kernel and modem wise. And another other mods that might be useful. Id flashing cwm right now and Id really like to stay away from ICS as of right now. Thanks guys
It is a good idea to start with some GB roms with all the hard bricks going on right now. I love Venum's Epic Rom, I used it as my daily driver for months. Happy flashing!

If you thinking GB then Blazer 4.1 is my vote...
If you thinking ICS then take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653763
Personally I have been extremely happy with Agat's roms of late. tFE16 is now my daily driver!
use calculins l29 3.0 which save battery and make ur phone fast
or u can go to ics fe10 the blue kuban u still get the same result same battery or better life ics is more cool the blue kuban also strip most of the app plus is automatic update so u dont have to re download ROM all over again
ics: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625535
l29: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332837
Personally I love ICS Rom. I can't imagine going back to Gingerbread.
My favorite ICS Rom is the "Blu Kuban" (it has nice ICS theme), where other Roms still carry the TW theme...
The above named GB rooms are great but I stick with SS Odexed Blue. It looks good, has great battery life, and is ultra smooth. Definitely won't disappoint.

Thanks guys ill check out all the gb roms and see which one I like the best. All the hard bricks are what is steering me away from ics for now. Also, does the usb jig still work to reset the counter and remove the yellow triangle? I read somewhere this might be patched. Im thinking of picking one up since theyre very cheap and its nice to have just in case.
I did it like 2 weeks ago on mijjz slim n trim with no issues.
I recommend anything by mijjz, I love his roms.

Sweet looks like ill be ordering a usb jig too! Thanks for all the help guys.
Blu kuban either el29 GB or the new fe10 is ics but man is it sweet. I have never had a problem on either so far.

So Ive been doing some comparing of A LOT of Roms. Trying to see which one would be the greatest for battery life. Im going to be working long lloonng hours here shortly and need the battery life. Ive been looking All the way back to EL26 GB. So far Calkulin's E4GT v3.0 [ EL29 has my eye. Right now Im on ParanoidAndroid 4.1.2. Im just looking for others opinions. Maybe there is a Rom I missed? Tell me what you think.
if you want just battery life and a little performance, just go with calkulins 3.0 it has by far the best battery

Thats what I was looking at. I was comparing that to his ICS version, and Blazer Rom. Hard to choose. But so far Im aiming at Calks 3.0
My experience with blazer on gb has been my best experience with this phone, better than the jelly bean Rom I'm on now. Personally I say go for blazer

Is it safe to flash from JB to GB using EL29 kernal? or are there more steps?
It's safe.
So far best battery life with calks 3.0 as well as blazer gb. Blazer ics as well with posted tweaks. With 1day on 4hr screen. About to try lightweight with placebo as I've seen even better results via screenshots
