You'll have to unlock your boot loader and see THIS
yes i have done this but this is only a temporary Recovery ?
the general idea is, recovery/cwm is only available on certain kernels i.e. DoomKernel, blend kernel, and cm7 kernel, or via adb.

It needs to be run from the computer every time using that method. xRecovery on the stock rom is what I'd prefer but don't mind using the lappy as I'd only use recovery 99% of the time when I'm at home anyway.

You need to be rooted. Once you got root you can download clockworkmod from the market or from app/theme look for post by pvyparts.

Think I may bricked my phone...

I have unlocked bootloader and rooted the phone. I was on stock ICS 4.0.4 and then tried to flash a ROM. It was saying Installed succesfull etc, when I was rebooting, stuck on Sony Logo... And won't go back to CWM...
What to do?

It's not bricked just stuck on bootloop.
Reflash either stock rom or if you have working fastboot then install a custom kernel that matches the Rom you tried originally.

Put the device in flashmode? Or download mode? (Hold back button or menu button? then connect the phone to the pc)
To install the boot image or stock rom?

press the menu button and plug the usb for fastboot (download mode) which indicates blue color notification.
Just tried to flash the boot.img from omega, didn't work! Still showing Sony logo and nothing further :/ But I can now go in to CWM ;D
You don't want to go to cwm. Just flash it with stock kernel (.ftf ) using flash tool. Then you'll be able to run your handset!!
Best of luck.

If your boot loader is unlocked you don't need X-Parts, flash a kernel with CMW, flash a ROM, done. Read the stickys.
The thing is my arc freezes when i try to get in cwm.

hmm
its been noted that recoverx doesnt work with the 96fw (not only that but chance not to work at all on any firmware)
there is a cwm installer in the dev section somewhere
try that instead

Can you explain to me how I use the Doomlord CWM. So I download the correct kernel. What do I do from then? Can I use Flashtool? Otherwise..where do I enter those codes to install it? PC CMD or CMD Terminal on my phone? Do I need to convert the file to .img?

Try this :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308493&highlight=doomlord
I assume that you manage to root your phone, so there should be no problem to install CWM with this method.
