[Q] What is the best screen protector for the S3? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

So I have an Otterbox case and I already took the original Otterbox screen protector out and replaced it. I replaced it with the Spigen Curved Crystal protector but it's already starting to come off since it didn't really completely cover the whole screen. So now I need to get a new one. Any ideas? Which ones do you guys think are the best?

i have the Armorsuit screen protector on mine, and i like it a lot.
it stays put just fine, even with a Incipio case on as well

I have a privacy protecter on mine with the otterbox defender series

I ordered a Skinomi screen protector from Amazon about 2 months ago. This is the worst piece of crap I've used. I read decent reviews prior to my purchase and nobody mentioned that it is extremely soft. I probably have 20 or so fingernail indentations on the protector which is totally weak. I'm interested in hearing what others think are the best since I will be in the market for a more durable screen protector that covers the entire screen.

I'm using liquid armor for more then 3 months. For now it works good. I only got 1 small, almost invisible scratch, but that was after keeping knife, screwdrivers and a lot of other sharp objects in my pocket with phone. And it was after almost 3 months since last coating.
If you don't like that then I recommend buying invisibleshield extreme. My friend has that and it works great for him. I'm thinking about buying it myself.

What are your recommended case/battery/screen protector?

I just ordered a Galaxy Nexus after my HTC Sensation was stolen and I would like to know everyone's recommendations for screen protectors batteries and cases.
What would you recommend?

Welcome to the forums.
If you take a look around in the Accessories section there are many threads that answer those questions. The short answer is, it depends on your tastes.
For cases, check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405890
I use the ringke slim case (matte black)
I am waiting on the tempered glass screen protector. Just using the one that comes with the ringke now. It's okay, kinda rainbow-ish. And I have some dust under it.

Im using a otterbox commuter case got it on amazon for $22, it adds a bit of bulk (not much) looks and feels great and just the right amount of protection. Like it so much ordered a second one. It does collect a bit of lint but not to much. For my screen protector right know I'm using some cheap screen protector i got from ebay (usa seller, 6 for $1.75) the fit is good but the screen protectors scratch like crazy(within 1 day i had scratches on the protector, just from wiping the screen with a wet wipe). So yesterday i ordered some Clarivue screen protectors, they are really good quality and not to hard to install. Had some on my g2, best screen protectors imo.

If you want a tank then get the Trident Kraken. It feels like its bullet proof.
From the mind of Minolta
I use a Diztronic TPU case and got 3 screen protectors for about $9 on amazon. The screen protector doesn't have any scratches. I'll probably end up using only 2 in the phones life. I also got a OEM spare battery from eBay and shipped from china. Works better than the original since it is newer. Spare battery for those really long days or trips.

Case friendly screen protector?

I usually use the ZAGG invisishields but the one I got for my GS3 is damn near edge to edge which make the edges bunch up when I put my case on. The case I have is pretty standard. Its nothing crazy. All previous phones have left a small gap at the edge of the screen so that the case doesn't come in contact with the protector.
Does anyone know of a good screen protector that will work with a case? I typically prefer applied wet protectors since I find they are more forgiving to install and typically stay on better than the dry ones. I'm open minded though if someone found a dry one that works amazing.
I'm having this problem too with a tpu case I just got.. I have an xoskins protector on right now. I'm trying to remember if I got the 'case fit' or not.. apparently the case fit means its smaller so we won't have this problem of the case peeling up the edges..
Anyways.. I would check them out I'm pretty happy with the protector..

I have the same screen protector and HAD that same problem with my Incipio SILICRYLIC® DualPro. But I went back to my Ringke SLIM lite, and the screen protector doesnt lift. But I had to give up some protection.
I got the zagg hd and it sucks with a case.. Will rip right off once you put the case on.. For now I took it off completely and have the case on

[Q] Screen protectors that don't make the screen look grainy?

I finally broke down and got an S3 today and also picked up a pack of the ridiculously expensive stick-on screen protectors that Verizon sells as I didn't want to take any chances in between buying the phone and getting some cheap ones. Anyway, the screen looks very grainy with the protector, especially when displaying lighter images. I really don't mind that much but when I'm taking pictures it really bugs me. I was wondering if anyone knows of a screen protector for the S3 that is durable but doesn't make the screen look all grainy.
Thanks!
The screen protector that comes with the otter box case is perfect. You really don't even notice it at all. It's the best screen protector that I have personally used

I'm not a big fan of the otterbox defender screen protector. As a matter of fact I am not even using it. I think there are a lot of protectors that don't look grainy, I wish I could find one that didn't show fingerprints.
Zagg HD all the way

right on, couldnt agree more. i was gunna say the same thing.
Just applied this, went on easy, no bubbles, crystal clear, dry application

Verizon replaced them with some clear ones. I guess I had gotten the anti glare ones. Having trouble getting an air bubble out though.

I'm not a fan of cases in general, so I bought an Armor Shield full-body protector - essentially it's like screen protector film, but they send precut pieces to protect all of the phone rather than just the screen.
I'm really really impressed with the whole package - the body parts are cool in that they really just give a great grip (the stock phone is really slippery), but the screen protector is really impressive in all the ways screen protectors have disappointed me in the past.
This one doesn't feel rubbery (interestingly, since the body parts add grip), in fact my finger glides on it better than the glass surface. That was surprising.
And, this one doesn't collect fingerprint grease.
I'm betting armor shield sells the screen protectors solo... and probably affordable, I think the whole body package with the screen protector was only $15.
And it's clear, I think for your original question, just avoid "matte finish" screen protectors. Those are the ones with the hazy/grainy finish.

Which screen protector do you prefer Zagg or Ghost armour

Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Ive been using a zagg for a day now and I dont like it. It makes the home/back button issue wayyyyy worse
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
These two are basically identical. Along with any other wet apply.
The zagg will probably be cut better. But the ghost armor will probably have less orange peel/slightly thinner.
the best screen protector would be an sgp. http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/htc/htc-one-screen-protector-steinheil.html
Skinomi!
+1 for Spigen. I have one for my GN10.1 and I couldn't be happier.

Get GA installed by them and you have lifetime warranty, including damage, on the screen protector
My vote is on GA, never liked Zagg's orange peel feel. GA is completely smooth
Martin Fields is the best.
I got a spigen first, and botched the install, so had to throw it away, but what was correctly applied looked great.
Then I got a Zagg, and I'm very very disappointed. The back looks good, but the front has what looks like a fold line, and is definitely not cut to adequate dimensions.
Also, the orange peel look is horrible.
Bottom line: forget the Zagg, get a spigen (I have no experience of the ghost armor)
I wonder if with zagg will have their protector available in the matte style for the one. I like it better than their normal version. The cut will also never fully cover the screen so that when you use I case, there is no worry if it pushing the protector up

They got a 3 pack of the clear ifrogz at the AT&T stores for 10 dollars. Super easy to put on with no bubbles, and it's cut out perfectly, sometimes I forget it's even on.

I used a Skinomi on my wive Nokia and I like it very much, dont see it at all and doesnt seems to affect the touch at all. So I ordered a Skinomi from Amazon and going to install that one on my HTC One. They are only 10 dollar.
Neither, I always get phantomskinz, since ye olde palm pre days. I've tried several brands and in my experience they are always well cut, has zero orange peel, and 'heals' better than other brands (especially skinomi which seems to quickly gather marks)
Non-disclaimer - I don't work for phantomskinz just have been very happy with them

Phantom Skinz
I second the Phantom Skinz vote, as well. I'm not associated with the company at all but highly recommend their product over Zagg. Never used Ghost Armour, so can't comment on that. Great price and customer service too.
Using a Zagg for the meantime. It doesnt fit well. Lots of gap on the sides.
Awaiting my SGP + Clear Slim Case which is delayed until May
Using a Zagg, since I couldn't find anything else in my local area.
I had the guy at Best Buy apply it for me, since I'm usually terrible at applying screen protectors due to being an absolute perfectionist on how it comes out.
I have Ghost Armor on my Nexus 10 and it is great, fits well, perfectly smooth, few gaps. They don't have them in stock near me until next week, but I'll most likely be having it installed then.
I've used the Spigen and I would say their cases are great, but the screen protectors are flaky. My first was the nano and it cracked around the home screen. The replacement cracked after I dropped it. I replaced that with the Slim.tr which peeled up around all the edges. My wife's Slim.tr also had peeling issues. They've since stopped making the slim.tr and have refunded my money. I'll be looking into Ghost or something else.
Also, spigen support is hit and miss. Sometimes you get a response next day, other times I've sent 3 follow up emails over the course of a month before they responded.

Screen protectors?

Is there any company out there that makes screen protectors like SPG? Currently I have the Verizon screen protector with the diztronic tpu case and it's already peeling. I know Skinomi makes one but it's a wet application and I really don't like the feel of it. I know Skinomi has a sticky feeling to it like Zagg when you glide your finger on the screen. I have searched across the Web. Seems like no love for the Maxx.

No, Skinomi is the best protector. Zagg is a piece of crap! I have used multiple Skinomi protectors (never the whole body ones) and loved all of them. I have the Skinomi on my MAXX right now and my fingers glide like on polished glass. You have to be in a dust-free environment and have an assistant help spray your fingers with the applicator. There is a science to doing it right. Also the lifetime warranty is awesome.

Well I also got a screen protector for Droid ultra a month ago...this time I just tried to go for something different rather than following the same zagg and skinomi products...I purchased an Amzer universal screen protector...it was a bit costly but it is such a fine on the phone that it makes my cell phone screen safe and sound for lifetime... I have also purchased another one for my N7(2013) too...
Thanks...

SON OF A B... I feel like I am being punished for upgrading early or something! I have the anti glare screen protectors. The girl at the store did a GREAT job of putting them on. She even used scotch tape and everything to eliminate dust. Well...I'm on day 6 of use, and now my protector is peeling off. Why are so many things going wrong with my purchase! I'll call it bad luck and have her put a different one on and hopefully week 2 of my trial will go better and the notification volume issue will be resolved.
Wow those are pretty cool!

I agree with skinomi being on top, still have a skinomi on my original droid razr maxx for almost 2 years and you cant barely tell its on there.
I bought a skinomi and I think it sucks. When I think screen protector I think of something hard that can not be scratched. These "tech skins" are some kind of soft gel. I actually gouged it with my fingernail while swiping.
I use the xtremeguard. Feels rubbery and not as durable as I expected. I scratched it intentionally using my fingernails and it failed me.
Sent from my XT1080 using xda app-developers app
using skinomi.. it is a soft type material but protects well.. and the items it comes with just makes it easy to install. if you gauge it with any small scratches or even your fingernail.. dont worry about it, it heals itself back.
Here's a follow up on the verizon anti glare 3 pack. I'm still on my first one. It's got quite a few tiny marks but not visible when display is on.
Once in a while my defender or Trident cyclops cases will make the edge bubble ever so slightly but no dust has accumulated and upon removal of cases with built in screen protectors it goes away.

So has anyone found any glass screen protectors for the Droid Maxx? Phone's been out for a while and I still can't find any sellers..
nitro glass doesn't make one yet... im South New Jersey..and our mall has a kiosk called ClearCoat... pretty sick screen protector...
Another +1 for Skinomi. I am currently using it. Application was a cinch. And they have an application video to aid. It is applied and I put a Otter box on top. Feels and looks great. Not as stick or gelly as I expected. Perfect.
Friend still insists best buy sold tempered glass screen last year. Still searching.

Long story short, my mother just got this phone a few days ago and I know the amount of abuse she inflicts on her phones. She normally just throws it into her purse with all the other stuff. I'm trying to find a protector that can handle whatever may hit the screen. I've used Skinomi and like them but I've used a tempered glass protector and I like those a lot more. Do any of you have a recommendation for what type to get?
P.S. I already have found her a case, so the body of the phone should be safe.

I haven't seen any of those for the Ultra series yet. I have a Skinomi, and have had it on the phone for 5 months now - it's just fine. Occasionally the case will start to peel the edge a bit but it's always easy to get it to adhere back down. In fact, I haven't seen that happen in weeks.
So yesterday I removed my anti glare screen protector (verizon 3 pack) because it was due for a change. The screen was so hard to see, very shiny and reflective, but it did look slightly clearer.
But I became weary and installed another one. Lol.
Anyone have clear full body armor?
