I can't remember if it was a mod or if was included in liquid Rom, but is there a way to set the phone to quiet at certain times, like as in to set it to silence after a certain time? And then back to normal say in the morning?

I screwed up and changed the voltages on my phone and battery life took a nose dive. I know I should of recorded the original settings but I didn't. Could some one please list what the original settings where and maybe some recommendations.

Disable what ever app that your using for voltage control and then reflash the kernel or rom and your stock voltage table will be restored'

Thanks tried that but the numbers don't seem correct

Lol.. as long as you have nothing set to set voltage PR frequency at boot and you reflashed your kernel them it is right. Its not one of those maybe situations..

Different ROM.. a quick Google got me this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831289
Someone in the gnex section made a app to hard code the limit to 500/30min.
Maybe that'll help..

It drives me insane when I'm using the device one-handed and trigger this "feature" when I scroll near the edge of the screen...
Same here especially when trying to bring up the quick controls.
Same here on international version

There seems to be no option. The browser itself is one of the best stock browsers I've ever used. But I want to punch sammy in the throat at times for not allowing that to be turned off.

I agree I would also like it to be disabled. The other big annoyance in the stock browser is the double tap to zoom doesn't work (over zooms every time - naturally you have to be in desktop view to see this). There is a setting to alter it but it doesn't help. Firefox works correctly but I end up using the stock browser most of the time and just pinching.
I no longer have this problem. I was stock AT&T, then rooted, then running International ROM with a stock browser that doesn't have the edge zooming. Yes, it did annoy me when I had it.
Wow! You're right! I also changed to a different rom a while back but kind of forgot about the problem. I thought I was being more careful I guess. No! I forgot only because the problem was gone and didn't notice! Yet another reason to get off stock! Great info, big

Click to collapse
huh?
No movement on this topic I guess. This feature drives me nuts as well but I don't want to go to a different rom to resolve it.

Well you can also use a different browser - plenty of choices out there...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
This actually occurs on the stock browser as well as other third party browsers...

The new update eliminates that irritating "feature"!

Yep happy to say that the latest 4.1.2 update removed this annoying behavior.
Indeed. I guess they realized it was more of a pain.

Many of us are aware that emergency alerts (the loud semi-annoying sound) can be turned off through messaging settings in touchwiz roms. Does anyone know how to enable them on AOSP ROMs? It looks like there is an apk that can be flashed, but its from the Nexus 4 forum. Any ideas?
If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll send you the file. I don't feel comfortable posting someone else's mod.

it may be a touchwiz feature...since aosp roms are full android i dont think they have it?
I could agree with that, but the Nexus 4 is running AOSP and it supports it.

FYI....... Even though the menu doesn't show up, it does work. I just got an emergency alert about a child abduction in the Dallas area.

Any clue why every time I change the transition animations in developers option it reverts back to default? It doesn't happen right away, but in tune it goes back to the default 1x.

I've noticed the same issue. I've been trying to see what triggers it and I think it might possibly have something to do with when a new app is downloaded. I'm testing this out and will report back if confirmed.

The phone software just seems to keep forgetting the settings period.
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
It has to do with the camera app. Everytime u open the camera app the transition animation goes back to default. Ive been looking for a fix but to no avail.
