If you aren't using any apps then you can turn off data. Only you can figure out how much data you are using.

You can turn off mobile data in car mode, but one of the things that won't work is that maps won't update. Not very useful if you use Google navigation.

I was wondering how do I remove wifi calling? I don't use it and I'm trying to remove everything that I don't use but I can't find it anywhere......even with titanium back up

I think its not just one .apk but its build in with the bundle. You can try a different rom that doesn't have wifi calling feature. If I was you, I would just disable it in settings.

I second disabling it in Settings.
You never know when you might need it, for emergency situations. For example, when traveling, you're at a place with WiFi ...but ****ty phone service.
Hey
How can you stop your phone from randomly accessing data services. I switched off background data and so far 58k has been used!#
18kb on OS Services
8kb on FB
Google play
Google+
Maps
If i am roaming and want to use the internet for just checking FB even the add on T-mobile provide will be used just while the phones in my pocket!
Any tips for my unrooted phone.
Thanks

I believe that I've seen kind of trick for that but only available on rooted devices bcoz need app that require root.
In your case, to be safe, just use WiFi instead. Wait till u got WiFi available in any place to check ur FB.
Cheers!!

hello - does anyone know why ebay will struggle 99% of the time on wifi and wont work, but on standard data its fine?
and facebook - on data it struggles to update and wont load latest stories etc,yet on wifi its fine??
is it a known issue? is it app related? or the handset? or a setting i need to tweak? im on stock rom and plan to say that way due to using roms before but the navigation feature was broken on every rom.

1. My mobile data plan doesn't work (another country)
2. I paid 30 to have one device (my note II) get internet
3. I learned that I cannot run hotspot and wifi at the same time
How can I share my internet with other devices? Can thos even be done?
Thanks

Thank you
What app can I use for bluetooth tethering? And does the other device require an app as well?

Bluetooth tethering is a setting on the rom you are using. It cannot be enabled via app. Its been a while since I messed with my Bluetooth tethering but I can tell you it works very well. I don't have a link handy.
The main advantage is it is very low power. The connection is very seamless as well.

By rom, are you referring to a rooted phone? If so, I don't have a rooted phone. I guess I will consider this for my next trip.
Thanks
Q
If you get internet on your one device then your easiest option is to get internet on your laptop and then create a hotspot on your laptop.
If your laptop is running windows 7 then you can follow the instructions from here.

Hello!
I'm in St. Martin (in the Caribbean) and can't get a GPS lock for the life of me. Obviously i'm on tmobile so i'm enjoying the free unlimited data and texting. I can pull up maps, they load fine. But i can't get a lock. Other people on the island have phones which get GPS and there are GPS units which function just fine. Some folks here from the US with iphones also get a lock. Am i missing a setting on my phone or something?

I'll give that a shot. I'm on the rom Hyperdrive KK. Will using that GPS fix interfere with the rom in anyway?
Also, I wouldn't have to return to stock or anything right? Just follow what it says from the dialer?
