[Q] CM10, Ktoonsez kernel, what next? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

So I have installed CM10 and Ktoonsez kernel, everything is running smoothly. Is there any other modifications around that I can look into? Any criteria will do, I'm looking to customize to the limit. Thanks in advance!

Um, didn't you say that you were running CM10? Unless you were referring to the 4.2 camera comment...

I'm saying that I forgot to mention that I have 4.2 GApps along with CM10 and Ktoonsez kernel

Stable. Nothing FC's for me even though some people have issues with the camera.

What version of the CM10 nightly are you using? There is a stable and a nightly.....

You could always try an AOKP rom.

Could and should!

CM10 feels like a stock rom when compared to AOKP rom. I absolutely love the Task & Ktoonsez AOKP rom to death.

Cm10 and Aokp Jb??

Ok, so i kind of want to jump to jb, right now I installed the paranoid android rom, but I'm not really feeling it. I want to know what are the bugs in cm10 and aokp. Any information on either or both these roms will be very appreciated. Thanks

I've been looking at a lot of the CM10 ROMs and am planning on giving one a go... I was just curious which was the most stable right now.

I am currently running binarybishop's 9/07 build. It is pretty smooth. The only bug I could find is that sometimes the phone turns off and to turn it back on you have to pull the battery. I think you could fix this by changing the minimum CPU frequencies. I have also heard great things about ericwills ROM. I tried it yesterday for a couple of minutes and it was very smooth and fast.

The main reason I was avoiding the official ROM was because of the sod problem, so I think I'll hold off on binarybishop's ROM for now as well... I will give TDJ's and ericwill's ROMs a shot though. Thanks again!

I actually skipped over his ROM when I read superlite, I kind of wanted full CM10 with trebuchet and what not... After you said that I went and checked it out, he has a superheavy version as well, so I will definitely be giving that one a try too.. Thanks for that

Lol, only 5 minutes into vincom's ROM and my phone shut itself down. I'll have to give another one a try later... Also, the link I posted definitely aren't FULL Gapps... Where do I find the full Gapps to flash?

I might have used it except the notification bar was unusably vandalized and unreadable with animated gif... I could have set fastboot=1 or replaced bootanimation, but i liked 99% of the SystemUI. Everything else about it was wonderful.. kernel, optimized, lots of good stuff (well boot animation a little over the top) but SystemUI was unusable like that.
When I first got my s3 I waited about a month before I rooted. I got used to the stock experience. Couldn't believe how clunky and slow the stock experience on the s3 was after I finally got it rooted! The first ROM I flashed was Casper's 9/20 AOKP build. Definitely butter for sure!
Just flashed the newly released build 3 AOKP...kernel is included. I've tried almost every other ROM and I keep going back to AOKP. CM10 is about the only one I haven't tried yet.

You don't have to wipe data if its the same rom, but I use Titanium Backup when switching to different roms.
Rom: LiquidSmooth RC9
Kernel: KT747
so far so good.
What jelly bean rom are you using? And why?
I am using cm10 stable and love it and the reason why is that I'm a newbie it is the one pour stock android I can get on my Samsung galaxy s3. I think my next phone will be the google nexus 5 when ever that comes out or a new galaxy nexus.
I'm using the latest cm10 nightly and it has some glitches here and there but it's solid for most part.
I'm using Serenity. It's a port of JB from the Galaxy Note II.
Why this one and not something else? I wanted to keep the Touchwiz feel for a while longer and I've used Serenity ROMs in the past on a different device.
Using CM10. Bass over bluetooth doesn't work so I dropped back to an older build. Even the older ones still work fine. Running leankernel. Couldn't be happier with my phone!

You did install the kernel, you just didnt know it. The kernel gets installed with the ROM. But you can flash a different kernel at some other point if you want to. I generally find the stock kernels work well for me

I'm running BlackBean with LeanKernel all apps inverted along with inverted JB 4.2 keyboard. Why? I used BlackBean on my old Nexus S, inverted stuff saves a ton of battery life on our SAMOLED screens, the combo is overall damn smooth and the kernel also helps to save that battery life while maintaining buttery smoothness. Couldn't be happier.
LiquidSmooth RC9 with leankernel. Seems to be working pretty good so far. A couple of complaints here and there (had an issue with phone crashing every time I received a call, some minor annoyances with music playback) but for the most part it's very speedy and stable.

an "AOKP" ROM is from the actual AOKP team itself. Task650, a dev, takes AOKP and makes mods and code changes. they both come with a kernel from their respect dev/team included

they're both good in their own respects. task's is a little more "bleeding edge", if you will.
they will both run well if you wipe and flash them correctly. AOKP just released build 6 of their 4.2.2 rom. their milestone (official stable release) will be here in april. i am waiting for that as i have been running their 4.1.2 milestone since last october. it runs flawlessly and with no issues.

build 6, i believe, was released with the 3.4 kernel (new) so there might be small issues. again, a lot of things are based on how you wipe/flash. also note that i said i only run milestones, not numbered releases.
