Question about a new battery - HTC Wildfire S

Can I use a 3500mAh or a 2450mAh battery on my phone? Are there any problems or risk?

No risks, as in, no. You can't do any damage to your phone by putting in a new battery. Problems though would be that you need to make sure the battery comes with a new back cover, as due to the increased battery size, the stock cover will no longer fit. :good:

Ah.. The 2450 mAh battery is identical to the original, the 3500 mAh is largest than the original and is including a new cover.
But I choose 2450 mAh, because i wouldn't chance my phone's size.
Thank you!

You can use any size mah in a battery and it will be fine, the only thing you should worry about is over heating because with a bigger capacity battery which means it can run longer it could make the phone warm or hot, if you feel it getting warm take the battery out or turn the phone and let it cool off. You could use a 5000 mah and you would be fine, as long as the voltage output is correct to the phones specs then you should be good! Hope thus helps!

[Q] Regarding 3500mAh battery!

Hey guys I just saw a 3500mAh battery for SGS2 on ebay. Is it safe to use such battery? I mean it won't harm the phone, will it? :O
Probably won't harm the phone, no.
I bought a 3500mAh obscurely branded Chinese battery in mid-December. Tried it out for almost two weeks, a bunch of charge/discharge cycles & estimated its real capacity was around 1900mAh. It also used to heat up a lot on recharge (mid-high 40's Celsius, which isn't normal when the phone isn't being used whilst charging).
I took it back, got a refund & bought an original Samsung 2000mAh battery. Hasn't missed a beat, is obviously close to its advertised capacity given I get around 20% more use out of a charge than I do with a 1600mAh battery.
Obviously your mileage may vary if you buy one of these (you might have a better experience than I did), just thought I'd let you know about my experience.

Well i heard that their batteries exploded in their phones......so be careful.....better pay for a better one instead of having a chance to ruin your expensive phone.

I have one of those I got from DealExtreme and it is great. It lasts 2x longer than the original Samsung battery.
I take care not to swap them often, because I am afraid that this action might damage the original cover, eventually breaking it.
Battery Life
I am still using the 1650 mAh battery (stock) for my S2.
I am really facing some battery issues. Its charging almost all day !
Yes I am using 3G all day and WiFi HotSpot too. But use wifi at home. Thats when I get good battery life. Any better way to conserve some battery ?
Any tips might help
Thanks
Got mine a few days ago from eBay and its been fine so far. It last more than 2x the regular battery. Phone does not heat up or anything strange..

well i an getting with the original battery 24H of usage.
with the 3500mah i am getting 60H of usage... so my 3500 is truly 3500mah!
the language is hebrew.
i use congnition rom 1.51 and siyah kernel.
So, where can I see a trustful review on batteries for SGS2? What is the most extended one?
It's really frustrating that my current stock battery is only enough for 2 hd video view (4-5 hours).
Also, the higher the mAh value the more battery lifetime is, right?
I would really want to buy 3500 mAh, but it costs so little.
And the official Samsung variant that offers the longest lifetime of a battery for SGS2 is this one, maybe Mugen 3500 mAh is the best choice out there?

What is the model name of the battery? Is it being overheated in comparison to stock one?
why should it overheat?
it is lithium ... same same
Yes, it's special lithium from China extracted under full moon and blessed by a thousand virgins
Really now, if it was possible to manufacture a battery having more than double the capacity of the stock battery while taking up the same volume, don't you think the megacorporate Samsung would buy that technology immediately in order to use it themselves ? "Too cheap to be true" is valid even here; most knock-off batteries either are fake ("9999 mAH SUPER EXTRA" sticker over the original rating), or will degrade quickly in time leaving you with a dud.
Since there are already fake electronic components...
... why not fake and cheap batteries too, certainly seems to be a high demand for them.
a. it is not the same volume! in is twice as much as the original.
b. the i9100 has a circuit that allows a slow stable charge rate so i dont think it will damage the battery.
As well as being made of inferior materials, not being subjected to the same QC, not having the fuel gauge chip present in original Samsung batteries, you pretty much get what you pay for.
My advice would be to avoid non-original batteries altogether, and given a 2000mAh original battery will cost around the same as one of these 3000mAh+ batteries with all their problems & poor life, it's a no brainer.
Stick with Samsung batteries.
fuel gauge chip?
i would like to see that chip in an any cellphone battery please.
If you're not aware of/don't know about the fuel gauge chip in original SGS2 batteries, you've probably been living under a rock since the phone was released

well i think that you misunderstood the meaning fuel gauge.
there is no chip in the battery that is in charge of the fuel gauge.
furthermore there is no use of recalibrating the battery in out i9100 model.
all you gave me is a link you Google...
please... show me that chip! i would like to learn something new about lithium batteries..

Received 4300 and 4800 mAh battery

Now I'm testing this battery. Original thread in this forum (spanish) http://www.todoradares.com/foro/bater-4300-mah-samung-galaxy-t22247.html
At the moment I have not done any charge.
After the first full charge and discharge I will upload screenshots from battery reports.
At the moment, usage is 15h and 9 minutes (normal usage) and consumed 46%
Stock ALF2 rom and cf-root.
Of course, nfc is not available
Now pics:
Extended Battery
The battery seems to be quite bulky. How much did u bought it for?
Ebay 12,99 euro
Yeah it's a bit bulky
I'm using a 3600 battery replacement in my old x10 with feralab rom and the battery usage is 5 days powering off phone at night.
wow that's big..
Yes, but believe me. It's more easier to hold the phone now with one hand.
Sorry, I like more a better battery than design.
At the moment. Battery stays at 3% from two hours ago, using opera mobile with H+.
Needs a little calibration
How much will battery life improve over stock battery?

No. As you can see in pictures, this battery is more bigger than original battery and needs a bigger cover.
But only for the rear cover. The battery fits correctly in his place.
Can you post measurements of the battery? (ie depth of battery and depth of phone with battery inserted).
The only reason I ask is because I ordered a 3600mAh version from ebay (thought it might be a bit slimer, for all it's worth... ;-) ) and the pictures used show some measurements.
See this url for an example:
**** sorry - can't post external links yet - not enough posts... ****
Search for "Galaxy s3 3600mah" in ebay and you'll find a few posts - the user I bought from is called "hightechhk-com"
(h**p://***.ebay.co.uk/itm/3600mAh-Extended-Battery-White-Door-Cover-for-Samsung-i9300-Galaxy-S3-III-New-/261045894976?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cc78c3f40)
From quick observation they look very similar.
Also, how doea the back cover fit? Doubt it's up to the quality of the original (or is it?)
As soon as mine arrives i'll let you know how they perform.
Cheers
Good stuff. Please do a comparison step by step to the original one, as in exactly the same daily use and turn off at night if you do with both. Its interesting, I wouldn't buy it myself but I always wonder if these batteries are not that well made than original.

Now, I can't. I'm testing it now. After first full charge I will post screenshots from battery stats. It's too early to say anything.
Please, be patient. Thank you.
I know that these batteries are made with a lower quality. But i'm sure that these batteries doesn't break your phone (tested in x10). I've heard something about gold batteries, but this battery is not a gold manufactured battery. It's from another manufacturer.
Good stuff. Let us know how you get on

GS3 Extended Battery (4600 mAh)

Would anyone consider getting this battery? It'll more than double your battery life. Problem is how big is it and can you find a case/battery door that'll fit. And do you even need it considering you can get a good 24 hours out of it already. Thoughts?

I'm not so sure the price is fare, but this is the only extended battery that I've seen with a voltage output the same as stock at 3.8v. All the others that I've seen are at 3.7v. Not even sure if it REALLY even matters that much. But I would feel better with my replacement battery being the same as stock. Just my opinion.

[Q] Note 2 N7105 battery voltage and back cover

Does any one know is the back covers of N7100 and N7105 are same or not, i mean will it fit on each other?
Also, one major thing i noticed was that the Original battery that comes with both these phones states as 3.8v, but on ebay the higher capacity batteries (like 6500mAh) has 3.7v written on them. But they still say it's compatible with both these phones. And some buyers even left positive feed backs about how good the battery is. If the Voltages are not the same shouldn't it cause problems?
I was planning on buying one of those higher capacity batteries for the N7105 until i noticed that voltage difference.
Oh and one more thing, does the battery on both these phones work on each other?
Look on eBay you will see original back covers fit both.
Batteries are same.
Voltage changes as battery drains its not a set thing, look at your charger it will most likely say 5 volts .... when you charge a 3.7/8 v lithium cell it should be ideally charged to 4.2v it complicated if you aren't into electronics.
Basically don't take any notice of 3.7 or 3.8 .. it will be correct.

In ebay for every high capacity battary (5000mAh, 5200Mah, 6500mAh, 7000mAh, ...) they give a free modified back cover with it.
But after reading many reviews and googling, the best battery for your Note 2 is currently ZeroLemon (9300mAh). The protective cover which comes with this battery is pretty sweet. And your fone can last 3 days + without recharging.

Need a Good Battery But Same Size as Stock

Is there a battery thats as big as the stock battery but has more juice? I want a stock-sized battery with more battery life but that isnt as big as an extension.
Look for Anchor or Zerolemon

You said: "Is there a battery thats as big as the stock battery but has more juice? I want a stock-sized battery with more battery life but that isnt as big as an extension."
Your criteria is as follows:
Same size as stock battery
More battery life than stock battery
What I linked is a stock sized battery with 100mAh more juice. This meets all criteria listed in the OP. I checked the link and it is out of stock, but it was in stock yesterday. You may have to buy one somewhere else. But it's a solid battery, I was using one for a while after my original battery started having issues.

I too have had mostly good luck with Anker batteries. A *bit* better performance than stock with the stock size.
Battery technology is only able to cram so much capacity into a given size and retain correct operating characteristics.

I dont get something here. If this battery is in the same stock form size, why would they include a back cover? This leads me to believe that you need a special back cover for it because the battery sticks out. Like I said, I hugely doubt this battery is the same size as stock.
Hi OP,
for the size of the stock battery, the Anker batteries are about as good as it gets. I have experiences better battery life with them than with stock batteries. The battery you posted is thicker than the stock and thus requires a different back cover. This means that it will not fit into standard cases, either. Since your post is a bit older, could you tell us which battery did you end up buying? Thanks!
