Photosphere works on DHD? - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed it but didnt work. Can anybody port this for DHD?

You need a gyroscope in the phone I believe. The DHD doesn't have it

As stated above, gyro is needed, though it works with the accelerometer, but it's slow and inefficient

Is anyone aware if it would be possible to amend the photosphere code to use the other sensors like the Google Sky Map does?

[Q] Netflix

So Netflix came out for some devices today. I grabbed a version of it and installed it and it seems it's authenticating the device type when a streaming request is sent. Who wants to figure out how to spoof this?
many have tried, all have failed.........so far.
Deja vu... again

I think I got it
I'll post steps soon. I've got it on Froyo on the Epic which is a little bit different than some of the other solutions floating out there.
Wont a change to the build.prop work to spoof the phone type

In theory it should work but we have yet to find the right combination of spoofs in the build.prop

Netflix works perfectly for me with this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1082783
It doesnt support the Epic but with this ROM it thinks the phone is a Nexus S. I've had great success with this ROM. Everything works except for the FM radio but I use TuneIn so it doesnt matter. You still need a subscription to Netflix. Hoping ya'll can afford $8 a month LOL
Yup, Netflix works great on the Swiss Cheese rom (Gingerbread 2.3)

What do you mean by it works? Like the streaming video works? Or just the browser and such? Because that was working since the LG version leaked

[Q] Rooted to ICS. Voice Recognition Not working

Just rooted my Incredible 2 to Android 4.0.3 with Open Kang Project. Everything works great except for the voice recognition. Everytime I try to use my voice for commands, it just says audio problem. Please Help!
Thanks
Touchpro's rom and possibly possibly aeroevans (not sure if it has been updated yet) have voice search working.

I am not being sarcastic, but everything?
Including the camera (front and rear) and hd recording?

MIUI gingerbread questions...

How stable is 1.12.9?
-Are there issues with sending/reciving calls?
-Are there issues with sending/reviving texts?
-Will it get slow and buggy a week after use?
-Are there camera issues?
-Are there FC issues?
And let me know if there are any other major issues

Overall, it was a very stable ROM while I used it. There were a few issues that I noticed but there was never anything that stopped it from being a daily driver.

There was a problem with 1.12.30 I think that caused the phone app to crash while receiving calls, but I don't believe that was present in 1.12.9.

Like I said, I believe 1.12.9 was fine but 1.12.30 introduced some issues. Someone who's used the ROM more recently than me might have some other points but I loved MIUI GB, and finally moved onto MIUI ICS when the camera and other bugs were patched up.
You will want to flash aeros v7 kernel with it too.

Multi-touch issues and low in call volume. I'm actually running it now. When you first use the camera you need to go to camera settings and change the camera resolution. For both cameras, the images will show up with green junk if you don't. When viewing flash videos in the browser you will only get audio. This is fixed by going through some steps in system/data/app... and deleting something but I don't recall what it was. Its mentioned somewhere in the MIUI thread if you feel like searching.
I can't think of anything else.

fixing flash is a little harder, but i can walk you through it. You will need root explorer or es explorer as root.

[Q] [SHPONGLE] Why does a 3rd party camera work, but not the stock camera?

I have installed CameraMX, and Camera ICS on my Shpongle. I am wondering why these 3rd party apps work directly, but not the stock app?
I would appreciate some in depth answers, if possible.
Thanks,
Wait for the update ice ll provide one soon.

Thanks! I know there will be an update, I am not asking for ETAs or anything. Just a reason as to why apps from the market work.
Are the apps bundled with all possible drivers for all phone models or something?
Thanks.

i think he's referring to the stock AOSP camera
Video recording works with stock camera
Since 3rd party camera app Vignette can switch over to camcorder by using the stock one I was able to record video with the standard camera app. So I added a shortcut to my home screen with Camcorder Shortcut by Bryan Owens (no permissions needed!) and the stock camera app will record 720p video. \o/

you just have to install it as a normal apk, no biggie, the device manager wont work because the site hasn't been released but the photosphere compass does

This broke my photosphere. Taking photos work just fine but gallery crashes when it starts to compile pictures.
