for Xperia Play don't tl;dr. - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First of all I'm sorry if ever I'm on the wrong section. This will be kinda of a long one, but please do hear me out. So, here it goes.
I've recently read a topic about dual-booting (arc&play supported) by DoomLord. So, upon reading it with the utmost interest its like I've been given a little hope with my play. Shortafter I accidentaly passed by one of DoomLord's thread about(donating for continued development for the play.) I missed the chance to donate because the posts were like back on the month of October. But, if I've read that post earlier? I would really have donated for the project. I can't pm DoomLord about this because he ignores generic pm's. So.. here I am, very desperate, so I've started this thread.
I know and I've read a lot of thread about this kernel thing, for now we can only flash kernel through fastboot. And yeah that's my problem I can't fastboot/flash or use flashtool anymore.(I know It's not just me, but there are some other play users out there too who got a problem like mine.) And now DoomLord is back? I know this is too much work but He's back with an xperia play he can do more awesome stuffs than before! So it hit me, will he do/try a kernel changer thing without using the fastboot method? So, basically he's my only hope.( I think for now.)
Oh yeah, why I can't fastboot/flash mode?
My phone was like outdated for 4 months now leaving my kernel to the old fxp 126-128 kernel I think. Because my play's micro-usb port was like half-dead now(didn't know what caused it, but it can charge on wall electricity but is not recognized by computers/laptop even with different usb ports/cable, reinstalled drivers, re-flash rom, no- nothing. Luckily I'm stuck on a kernel with CWM(i can still flash .zip files though.) I can still make my phone go in a flash mode(green light) and fastboot mode(blue light) It will be on those mode but computer wont recognize neither flashtool(in flashtool phone status disconnected.)

[KERNEL-SOURCE] Official A100 Honeycomb 3.2 Kernel Source (Link)

Didn't see this posted, yet, so...
Official Honeycomb 3.2 kernel source code for the Acer Iconia A100 can be downloaded from Acer's support site, here:
Direct Download Link.
Let the fun begin.
If the bootloader was unlocked and this included the nvidia link to thier drivers it would be great. I could compile a custom kernel and flash with OC / UV settings, even with the locked bootloader I could possibly still find a way to copy the kenel image over via adb. But in it's current state its completely useless and even if I did manage to hack in the nvidia bits it wouldn't run correctly without the acer specifics (its a generic honeycomb kernel). ICS will be out soon and hopefully someone cracks that darn bootloader.

Indeed, but it is only a matter of time before we have the bootloader unlocked, right. I don't thing anyone is really planning on doing too much until ICS is released for this. My tab just arrived today, so I have not yet poked too far into the system myself, yet...
Figure it is good to have the link to the source downloads, for future reference.

crossix, If you are looking for a something that would help this tablet out, I have something... on the xoom there is an option to use PAN over bluetooth under a paired device. I have looked for how to enable that menu idem but I have not been able to find it. I would guess that it will be reused in ICS.
Here is a link. http://www.droid-life.com/2011/03/01/how-to-bluetooth-tether-to-motorola-xoom-using-original-droid/

You [and all cdma variants (like me even)] will have to wait for kernel development as alquez states in his OP of that thread.
or
Restore your nandroid backup of stock (easiest fix).
Regards,
Rob

Hope it comes soon...I forgot to make a backup before i went to cm7....however I do have a second Wildfire S thats rooted but for some reason i cant get into recovery to back up that ROM....it gets stuck on the white HTC screen....any ideas?
ideas
Can you boot to hboot [on second phone]? If not you are either semi-bricked or bricked. Still assuming you cannot get into hboot, go download the htc sync drivers, set up your environment [Google has a guide that walks you through it], then with the phone connected to your computer [and on] type "adb devices" If you get a return that looks like a short serial, it can be fixed... If no devices found... well, it will take someone smarter than me If you can boot to hboot, it can be fixed no problemo... Hit me back with results [via pm] I can't follow every thread I respond to.
Regards,
Rob
PS it sounds like the 2nd phone has had either a bad recovery or wrong boot.img flashed to it w/o knowing more

This method is basically same as the normal stock rom flashing tut, EXCEPT the way you get into Download Mode as your phone is HARD BROKEN.
1. Download all the files required in the "SOFT BRICKS" Prob, (Just Google that).
2. Remove everything from your phone (SD card, sim, battery).
3. Plug your phone into your computer WITHOUT the battery.
4. Press and HOLD vol. up and vol. down.
5. As you are HOLDING these buttons, reattach your battery.
6. You should be in Download Mode.
7. Now flash ur Stock rom via odin...
Hurrahhhhh..................
Have u tried this?

Yup, once but now my phone is dead (dropped in water):silly:
have you ever try this one by yourself. as long as I know, there's no one able to recover their device from hard brick. that tutorial is on the net a long time ago but no one ever confirmed it will be work on hardbricked device.

d710 icsFL24 stuck in bootloop after installing agat recovery

I rooted the stock OS with SPH-D710_FL24_CL1173404_REV2_Rooted_Nodata.exe and everything worked fine. Then I installed MobileODINLite-v3.85.apk and did the SXTP_Agat_FL24-v0.4.0.tar flash, and upon reboot, the OS loaded up fine, but after a minute the OS would lock up and the phone would then reboot on it's own, and it just keeps doing that no matter what. I've already tried going back into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik, no change. What should I do?
BTW, I'm a noob to smartphones, the reason I was doing all this is because I can't transfer any files to the internal USBStorage folder either by KiesAir or by physical connection to the pc, I just get a transfer failed error. I was trying to make a recovery so I could load a custom ROM (dirty unicorns) in hopes that this would fix the problem. Also I don't think taking this phone to Boost for a replacement is an option, since I bought this phone used from the previous owner. HELP! =(
Look guys, I'm not someone who is too lazy to use google. A week ago I didn't even know how to use this device. I've tried looking around but I'm gonna need someone to point me in the right direction, so seriously? 33 views and nobody can at least do that to help me?

What I would do is download the GB27 Rooted Odin here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903252
And update to JB and maybe that might fix some of your problems. You can get into Download Mode by pulling the battery and replacing it and holding Power+Vol Down.

Oppo Forums Shutting Down

Not like it was already telegraphed, but this probably marks the official end of support for our venerable Find 7.
Thoughts? Comments? Anyone surprised at this point?

an end to what little support it had..and no, it's not surprising.
No loss really, their ROMs were never any good. Mine is on Nougat thanks to OmniROM but I went back to my Huawei Mate 7 as a daily driver for a while, now moved on to the Axon 7.
A collection of 7's ?
The Find 7 is being passed down to my eldest daughter. It stays on non modded Omni 7.1 and will look to sell the Mate 7, fantastic phone, just that I wanted dual 4G SIMs, thus the Axon. I offered the Mate to my wife but she said no, too big and will stick with her Oppo F1f.
The Axon is flying well under the radar IMO. Very good phone. Mine is on official and non modded Nougat. Waiting to see if Oreo comes.
The Find 7 and F1f are the only Oppo's I will ever buy, never again. Won't buy a One Plus either.
Hi All,
Need help...
If any one has backups, please share. Recently I took the find7a(9006) from my friend, which is almost bricked, and i am unable to work on. Please share the stock room (color os), recovery image files, etc...

Do you need yet from some stock room(OPPO Find7a) and recovery image files?
While Oppo's support for the Find 7[a] was beyond appalling, there were some knowledgeable guys on that forum whose posts helped me more than once.
One of them save my Find 7 from eternal loop...
God blessi him! I own him some beers!
