Normally wipe caches and flash. However, every kernel will have directions in the op.

Clark44, the dev of the ROM, said that he might update. It all depends on his time, he's a full time student.
You can flash the update from Freeza over the ROM, but you also need to flash "Revert to LF9 Universal Search" found in the OP to have the full google search. Read the thread and see what has been reported...

Well guys, I know there isn't a lot of stable JB roms out there.
But based on YOUR opinion and experience which ones are the best? It could be AOSP.
Actually most of them I've tried have been pretty stable. I'm on paradroid right now and everything is smooth.

Sprints official jb port is by far the best one.

Read those threads and see what people post the most of. Being spoon fed is shunned here. It only takes about 5 minutes to skim through the last 5 pages and get an idea of the ROM.

I've tried. Trust me lol. I just can't get convinced since some users have bad experience on it. I'm very familiar with android, so I was planning on asking someone whos running it.
Btw, I couldn't install PA.
Why couldn't you install PA?

4+ hours of screen time with lean kernel
I personally have been using Deviant Dev FrostyJB_4.1.1-v6. It is really fast but not has fast as Wicked ICS v7 Rom. But I just love the Frosty Jelly bean the only problem I am having now is that whenever I restart my phone it switches the default keyboard back to stock and not swiftkey 3.
i've been jumping around from CM10 nightlies, PA 2.23/2.51/2.52, and Liquid Smooth RC7... trying to find a good battery.
out of the 3, i like CM10 the most, so i'll probably go back to CM10 nightlies, if not CM10 M2.
My fav have been so far Frostys and Paranoid Android, Im currently using the Sprint Jellybean release which seems to be to basic compared to those mentioned.
Latest cm10 nightly for me

does CM10 have a lut of bugs? or its a every day ROM?
So I've been really looking into lean kernels, cause let's face it, smartphones don't have very good batter life. So my question is, do you lose performance using a lean kernel?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
It all depends on settings and device. I have never lost performance when using a kernel. Although I do prefer KT747 over Lean because it has a lot more options.

Been using this awesome rom for a long time, just curious why very little over clocking?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Because that's what Task chose. If you want more OC install a new kernel.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Right but is there a kernel that will work with this rom? Without messing something up?

All you have to do is check the original android development. There are a few kernels.

The latest Perseus kernel lets you tweak the audio. You can find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33930347
Actually works pretty good. And works even better with this MOD:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gokhanmoral.stweaks.app
And you wouldn't need VIPER then..
