Has anyone verified the working of Xperia arc UI port? it includes launcher icons and timescape. I tried it the launcher is working it is smooth as hell as smooth as miui if not more the animations are great looks awesome but the timescape crashes time to time I am putting pics below anyone interested? I can post the links and method.

Here is the file extract the zip file,
Copy the contents of each folder to system folder of phone using root explorer install timescape from app folder and reboot if you have any issues feel free to ask I will try to help you out.

Only with copying this files I don't got a working launcher. When I install some of the other modded ARC-Launchers and copy your files (and install timescape - 2 of them works - 1 of them I got Install-Error) I've got FC every few seconds. Also a restart doesn't change anything.
Copying all the files across worked for me however when phone 1st starts i get a twitter fc and if i want to use the facebook timescape i get fc as well. Still playing around but looks good. Thanks

hey to mod of this thread. i have to point out some of things for you as to why you guys are gettin' fc'ses all the time.i use to be an x10 owner and i can tell you alot of things to it. 1. you're missing awhole lot of plugin's from sony's phone such as timescape twitter, timescape facebook, timescape messages and w/e other are there. as far as porting is concerned it won't be possible because those plugins and timescape is sony coded software, unless you wanna take a crack at it and look into those codes .good luck it won't be fun i can tell you that. you're gonna have to rewrite the whole thing to samsung's codes + arc launcher and all or x10 same issue.. why are you gettin' f'cs well here's one open up the script of apk launcher and take a crack at fixing the screen resolution + all the shortcuts that are with it to be rewritten into samsung's phone. so there's the whole explaination to this. if i can do anythin' ill try but can't gurentee it b/c im still trying to work through alot of things in apks and all, like editing and so ive not got to scripts yet.
I was a x10i owner too before it was stolen this is the reason why I love timescape i did not think this was necessary because it worked for me without this too but if you are facing problem then —
1. change in build.prop
ro.product.manufacturer=xxx
to
ro.product.manufacturer=Sony Ericsson
and add
ro.semc.timescape_keys=Sony_Ericsson_Xperia
You will find above "build. Prop" in root directory-system
Use root explorer preferably

This works pretty well. Can't use the Facebook or Twitter plug ins though. Also tried to install the Arc launcher (which looks better IMHO) but it wouldn't install at all.

Hi!
I'm running CM9 and wanted to install google carhome. It's not available in my country so i googled it and found the apk file. But after installing i do not see icon in the app drawer. On GB roms there was a carhomelauncher.apk but i can't install it on ICS roms. Any suggestions?

One lf these runs perfectly on my S2 with CM9 nightly.

How come?? I have the same issue and have been trying to install car home on my MS cm9 but can't install launcher app. I did move it to system/app but still won't install.

Move it to system/app and set permissions rw-r--r--. Reboot and enjoy. You must have carhome.apk installed before that.

Tried on LT28at, but it's a bit laggy. Cool to play with.
Works great on Sola too, without flashing... Just extracted the zip and installed the launcher and widgets. Works great, no lag, just missing the complete framework.

I have quickpic but when i try to set lock screen wallpaper i cant because theres no gallery. Is it this from your dropbox? com.sec.android.gallery3d.apk
Use Image 2 Wallpaper app from play store. Allows you to set a wallpaper without cropping the image, or you can crop it if you want. Definitely better than the stock gallery implementation
But the problem is that I need the gallery apk to set the lock screen wallpaper, not the wallpaper.

You can play music on walkman but when you tap on the album or something to see the huge album art and music player controls
it fcs but you can still play music which is nice.
Not working for me on Pac-Rom but Working on P.A

Its work on lg g2 launcher?
Can only see sociallife and sketch in launcher, other apps not showing up.. But visible in system/apps , any solution? Already wiped cache and dalvik.
They are not visible in xperia home. Not in LG g2 launcher and also not in GEL
I can see Walkman widget, can place it, but there happens Notting wen clicking on it

there was not enough space IN MY system partition, cleaned some apps reflashed zip, now all apps are installed, but sociallife still FC everything else is working fine

Don't know if this is only for me, but after flashing this, my whole rom got unstable. Back button stopped working, volume keys didn't work, and google keyboard kept force closing, very weird.

Switched to dalvic and flashed the zip and it worked!
But then I had the same back button not working problem, so I flashed my ROM again!
