Hi,
Is there a way to change the splash screen from the stock to a customized splash screen.
The Galaxy s2 (I9100) way is no use for note 2 (N7100).
Please help.............
The only idea to do this is to have more customization in phone.

No i mean the splash screen that appears before the boot animation, like This but for Note 2
That's a part of bootloader so I don't think anyone wants to play around with it.

I am interested in changing bootlogo, too.

I followed this guide and I changed my bootlogo in my Galaxy Tab 2 to say Galaxy Tab 2 xda-developers in stead of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
So, there should be a way to do the same thing for Galaxy Note 2, and I would like to know.
Haven't seen any posts about it yet, loved changing those on my other phone

The Tab 2 guide seems universal since you dump the Tab's file and modify it yourself. All we need to do is find the right file to dump and modify.

Where in the linked tutorial are you stuck? As stated before, the instructions for the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Tab 2 7" would be the same because you're dumping the file, switching out the boot logo, and flashing the modified file.
But i think splash screen is different from BootLogo

Seeing as it says i9250 right in it, and you are asking about i515, i'm gonna assume (i know i shouldn't, but will anyways) no. And is that supposed to be a link, or just a tar file you found somewhere that you decided to share the name of?
uh hate to point out the obvious but it also has i515 in the filename as well. so who knows which its for. the better question, where was this file found ?

Its suppose to be a generic cdma nexus galaxy no carrier logos or apps, I cant verify it tho

1. The phone wasn't unlocked, now bootloader is unlocked.

This build is completely different from the other builds from what I've heard not sure there was a user who tested

Thanks! Do you know if it mirrors all apps? Ideally I would like to use it to play rented google play movies on my big screen.
I just tried and it's a no go. It's not working at all since I rooted with the multi view add-on. Device dhcp error. Seems like I need the 4.2 update as someone pointed out. I'll try messing around and see if it works.

Question for you. When you reset your allshare cast dongle does it turn blue for quite a while or does it turn back to red pretty quickly. Mine turns back to red pretty quickly. I tried connection from my note 2 within 2 mins after reset like the instructions told me to and it still doesn't work.
So a coworker just got the galaxy nexus phone and we tried yseing the android beam feature. Almost every time we use it it fails to send the pictures I try sending him. I have sbeam off on my phone and everything else that should be on is on, on both our phones but still no success. Any ideas? Thanks.

Oj had same problem with my son he has nexus and have note you need to position the antennas right nexus is on bottom back note is on top back also make sure s beam is off

I don't think sbeam will work unless it's another Samsung phone that's not nexus. It has to be a touchwiz model.

I dont think its worth giving up the Note 2 for but if you have a update and are going to get it thats the way to go
Thats what I did im keeping my Note 2 and upgrading to the S4. Keeping the Note for backup device and for work purposes

I got a upgrade a few days back. Choose the Note2 over the S4. Had a S3, Best buy gave me $268 for it. I could have left the store with the S4 for total $4.78 after my trade in , tax and best buy reward points. But I wanted the larger Note2 indtead and dont regret it.

Me personally wont trade my note 2 for the s4, my buddie has the s4 and man its to small for me its a cool device but also were going to get 4.2.2 in the middle of may or jun so im keeping mines.

I think it will be a little longer than May-June that we have to wait for 4.2 2 I would say july-August. If I had to guess that is what I would guess.

Sorry but there's no other phone out there that I would give up my Note for, I'm too spoiled by the screen size & 7 hours screen on time & I can never look at a smaller sized phone the same ever again.

My Choice
My Epic 4G died a few days ago and I had an upgrade. I chose the Note 2 over the S4. Battery life, bigger screen (to make up for the loss of my keyboard) and SPen plus other things that I cant put into words sold me. I used both side by side and just loved the Note2. When we get 4.2.2 I think that will make the note 2 even more awesome...IMHO. Now I have TWRP on it and trying out ROMs...Loving the Note 2. :good:

Try synergy. Best rom imohop. I have flashed at least a 100 on my S3. Since I bought the note 2 this is the only rom for this phone. It is stock on speed, but I themed it with a seperate program and have it just the way I like it.

S4 is beast man who ever said it looks like the s3 in every way can suck it. It dont. It has so many wicked features that we wont get. The screen is so much crisp you can right away tell. 13meg Camera comes in handy in low light litteraly

I don't think the megapixels have much to do with low light as the quality of the sensor itself and f.stop and aperture. I'd much rather a lower MP with better sensor and F.stop than all the megapixels in the world.
But i get your point nonetheless.
Just got my S4 today coming from the Note2 and I have to say I don't miss the Note2 one bit this device is world class

What was your problem with the note2? I had a chance to pick up the S4 cheaper than the note2 but choose it because of size which fits me perfectly.

Hello im new to this tuff but I just bought a att note 2 today and after I got it I realized that it was on stock 4.3 amd I want to flash the DN3 rom and was just wondering if there was anyway I can do that like safestrap or anything?
And also I habe a verizon galaxy note 2 and was wondering how to transfer all my pics music and stuff over?

Yea I was wondering of safe strap will work for the at&t note 2 but I'm just going to try it on my Verizon note 2 since I figured out how to transfer everything over to my other note 2

You don't use safestrap. You'll use a custom recovery.
