Hey guys, I need serious help. my HTC One X suddenly turned off while I was installing some games. My phone was plugged in that time so battery isn't the problem. But after the device shut down, LED indicator light is not lighting up anymore. I tried to connect it on my charger again but it's no use and no red light indicator.
I want to revive my phone back to normal using some tools available online but USB debugging mode is disabled on my phone.
Any suggestions?
btw, my HOX isn't rooted yet.
If its not rooted , go back to the store is my best guess ! Why risking to void the warranty while you still have it !

Yesterday night I was watching some YouTube videos on my One X over Wifi until I got the low battery alert. The phone was hot at the back, near the camera area. I put the phone to charge and went to sleep. I noticed that the LED was blinking alternate green and orange, which according to other threads is an overheat indicator.
I left it like that. Now I wake up in the middle of the night, try to wake up the phone to see time. The One X will not power on and will not charge anymore. Taking it to the shop in the morning.

Hey man, I can tell you that I had something similar to that except the thing with LED. My battery was dead and I had to charge it... It was on usb and when I was trying power on the htc it wasn't reacting. I had to plug it on the power to make it work... Which is actually not normal that the usb wasn't enough...

Had some similar problem too. Overheating charging through wall.
Let it charge for a while in usb port and try to reboot again.
Same thing happened to me. Was playing a game until battery died. I held the power button down for a 30 seconds and it came back to life.

Blinking green and red means the phones too hot and as a safety thing will not charge, let the phone cool before you charge it

Thank you for your replies guys. I know that blinking green and orange means the phone is too hot. I let it cool for couple of hours and then tried charging. It will not charge. I tried connecting to power and to usb, left it for a while.. no activity.
I also tried other methods above, like holding power on for a longer time etc. The phone's still dead. Not powering on, not charging..
Return to the seller because is a hardware fault. Or call to htc.

I took the phone back to MediaMarkt and they gave me a new phone
My previous phone had yellow tint at the bottom, had it for 3 weeks. This new one does not seem to have any issues so far. It's made in China as opposed to earlier which was from Taiwan.

mediamarkt? i have to try and get htc to take it back, its stuck in apx.
My HTC One X isn't charging, the red flashing light flashes red and green when i plug it in and continues to do that. Can anyone help me?
try volume and power and see if it resets it,
if not then you have a faulty battery or connection or something, return and replace

Mine just did that then. I have been using it while charging though and it's gotten quite hot. I suspect it's an overheating warning for me at least.

I've only gotten it to do it once. Was using the phone quite heavily. Perhaps more moderate use would not make it overheat during charge at least.
Mines charging fine now that I'm not hammering it..
The only way is to wait until it cool down, or use it on a cool room

Seriously? Is this supposed to be constructive?
Help a guy out, say you have the same issues or feel for the guy.
But what do yo mean with volume and power?
Do you mean go into recovery and delete batterystats?
I am probably gonna return my HOX.
I also have major screen flickering issues.
HTC have also said that there have been manufacturing faults
It's an HTC overheat warning - holding the power button whilst plugged in & selecting reboot should stop the flashing lights, then allow it to cool down for just a few minutes.
I've seen this, only when doing multiple benching.

Since you said that the phone meet the floor I can guess that may be a hardware fault. If with the phone off you connect to the charger an no reacction, you only can chek for another charger. Its OK if you use almost any usb charger, but the minimal power of the charger (see the label on the charger) need to be 750 mah, and the recommended is 1 A. (always at 5v). I use a asus nexus 7 charger witch is 2A, so I can handle charge and power consumption. Anyway. If your phone is not charging and you tried at least 3 chargers and 2 cables its time to open the phone. There is a guide on youtube (sorry I cant search for it right now), that show you how to open the HTC One X, so you can check the battery connection to the phone. Trty to disconnect and connect it again, and without reassemble the phone connect carefully to the charger and see what happen. If not charging and assuming that you dont have where to carry the phone, I would try to charge the battery pack outside the phone (3.7v Li battery charger) and then put it again on the phone and see what happen. I'm like 70/30 % that is the connector (30% that some on the mainboard broken)
Hope I help you
Since long time I had a problem with charging. I had it on charger and didn't charge. It said that I use more power than charger can give me. It was the same when the fine was off some times. It looks like charging but after some hours power was complete down. Be four some days it switched of batter and never opened again. Neither charging. I tried before some months and changed the battery but still had the problems. I tried yesterday to change again the battery and put the old one that had some power to take my files from mobile. I tried to put it to charger and the light goes green and red and don't charging. The fine has no power no and it's close again
Hi all,
I got this used Desire, no clue of what happened to it, it does not turn on, even when plugged with usb.
No, led indicators don't turn on, and when connected to PC, this doesn't see anything.
On the inside the phone seems allright, the water spot are clear and everything.
When the phone is plugged to AC/Usb the battery seems to recharge, as it becomes "hot".
Connecting the device via usb without the battery doesn't do anything at all.
It was an exchange with a broken iPhone 3g, so it didn't cost me anything, but it would be cool if I get it to work.
Any ideas?
It heats up because the battery is charging. Anyways, it seems that you can only use it as a htc battery charger.
Or try going to a service.

PLEASE HELP ME PEOPLE, i cant use my phone
I have an HTC One X and I was using the phone today as the battery was reaching 1%, the phone began to get extremely hot, and just before the phone powered itself off, the screen flashed white and then died. Upon plugging the phone into the wall charger, a red light flashed once and then turned off, The phone does not power on at all and i cannot access the bootloader options. The phone is unrooted and the bootloader is locked. I have tried plugging the phone into a computer and it does not pick it up at all. What so you recommend I try? I am also afraid to take the phone into my service provider as I have some very important data which I wish to retrieve.
Thanks in advance for any help, all help is appreciated
Leave it on the wallcharger over night. Not coming back to life after that it's warranty repair. Nothing else you can do really......

If your phone is stock and never been unlocked via HTCdev then all i can recommend is sending it back to HTC before you warranty runs out. Sounds like a hardware fault to me. Let your phone cool down then boot it back up and try copy your data to your computer.
