Rom reviews? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Just got my phone back and running. Starting to get annoyed by the amount of ram that can't be freed. But I don't want to lose any good functions(bluetooth etc.) From what I've read, it's almost as if it's only beta. Any reviews or revirws of other rom performance on this phone? I was considering cm10 but I heard you only get 60% of the cpu ppwer?

Read ROM threads... thats where the reviews are usually found

I can't figure out what terms to search or any rom names besides aokp and cm10
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2

Try YouTube. This guy's got a bunch of reviews for roms for this phone

It basically comes down to whether you want touchwiz or aosp.
I'm running the latest nightly from cm10. It's stable.

What TW ROM is the most stable with most mods? Black jelly seems to be pretty good and on JB.

Whats the difference between touch wiz anf aosp?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2

They are all pretty stable
Frosty, black jelly and wicked I hear people using a lot lately

touchwiz is an interface Samsung puts over stock Android
There are extra features, but bloatware as well
Some features are also crippled
Aosp is pure Android operating system

You probably shouldn't mod ur phone... u seem clueless. Maybe u should read for a couple of weeks
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2

Too late. CM10 is awesome lol
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5

I have tried AOKP, CM10 and numerous TouchWIZ Roms with a combination of kernals. So far the fastest and smoothest of them all have been Wicked TW ROM with Ktoonz's kernal. It feels the smoothest and benches higher then CM10 oddly enough. It does have some bloat I dont care for in it, but most of its removed. I am getting awesome battery life with the combo using the smartassv2 governor.

Zedomax.

Ya it won't install for me either. I know I figured it out before but have no idea how I did it. I'm on cm9 beta 1 now, I know I was stock when I did it, not sure if that matters? I can't even remember if I had to do something with the pc to do it or if I did all on my phone.

Using paranoid Android right now. I like a lower dpi, but some apps don't play nice, so i need the per-app DPI. Loving it so far. Thought the phablet mode was useless, but things like 4.2 keyboard are so much better in tablet mode.

You should try the ROM from www.slimrom.net go to downloads and under device click hercules. I am currently running that ROM and its pretty good so far.
Jedi Mind Trick X3
I ran JMT X1 for about a month and loved it! Just went to JMT X3 along with the Jedi kernel and it's even better.
Just my opinion.

slim ....onlychevy....great rom
I like All Star Rom (v4)... from what I can tell it's built off of PACman Rom (which is a combination of Paranoid Android, AOKP, and CM10: hence the PAC). I've used both Jedi Mind Trick and JK4 and 5.
The battery life, thus far, hasn't been as good as under the Jedi roms, but that could be because I've been playing with it so much. The sheer number of features and customizability make it worth it to me- I love the AOKP lock screen.

No it is not. The jedi kernel is for 4.0.4 but jmtx3 comes with a custom kernel made by faux so there's no need for another.

Stock Google image.. I knew everyone would be posting third party kernels.. Truth is, you cant count on them for being stable because these guys who develop them add in other unsupported governers, tweaks, etc. Stay stock its fast and is very stable.

Multi Window?

Is there any way to just add on the Multi Window functionality of the Galaxy Note to the 3 on any rom?
Synergy ROM in the development section has it.

I don't know, I tried that using the rom mentioned above but it's buggy. Multi Window is nothing but hype. You're probably thinking any app can be used, you're wrong.

I've tried the synergy rom and I have to agree that once the newnest of the multi Window is gone the rom overall is laggy and you'll probably end up switching back to whatever you was using before it

Pure vanilla AOSP

I dont know about anyone else but I would love to see a pure vanilla AOSP rom. The way google intended it.i guess like cm but without all the extras. I had that on my g2x stock and my s2 thanks to eugene373. So I was hoping some would wipe one up here for us. I would but my skills dont go that far. Just thinking out loud.
There's root box in the original dev section and if you look in general there is a beta super nexus ROM.

sweet. I did see the supernexus thread but since it wasnt in dev section I didnt look at it. I will have to check it out after I post. And when you say the dev is compiling now are you refering to the supernexus dev or is there something else in the works? And thanks for all the quick answers.
hey thread is locked it says that there is a official build out. Build 4 but I cant seem to find it in any of the dev sections. So right now I am trying out the test build but I would like to use the latest one. It was a few days ago that the thread was closed. Am I missing it. I checked the first two pages of both dev fourms.
