How to... I've tried to install four ROMS - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.. I've tried to install four ROMs and I get to the reboot screen and I reboot and it loads up and then twenty minutes later and still in the boot animation screen an hour later still on the boot animation screen.. two hours later still on the boot animation screen.. I'm no rookie at flashing if had iPhone, evo 4g, gs3 but this puzzles me I have used twrp on all my devices except the I phone so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing but I just can't get any ROM to boot up successfully on this thing I've tried paranoid Android, miui , a few jelly Bean ROMs and still none will go past the boot animation... Help please

Bro I see your name all over the kindle thread. If checked the Q&A forum and I don't see where someone has the exact same problem I'm having.. I already know how to get out of fast boot.. but as I stated I just want to know why four different ROMs would not install after waiting a hour at the boot animation screen .. all I see is a thread with links that go to more pages with links.... its making my head spin.. but as I said you Are all over this kindle thread and you seem like a pretty knowledgeable guy so can you just tell me what I'm doing wrong and or link me exactly where I can find exactly what I'm looking for which is how to install a ROM and have it boot up.. thanks in advance very knowledgeable guy and very helpful guy

So did you come from stock 6.3.1? What did you use to root your KF? what did you use to install your ROM? these would all be helpful answers. Thanks.

Don't know if ur being sarcastic or not but if all else fails.....go back to complete stock (no root, stock Amazon 6.3.1), re-root and try again. There have been a number of not so good issues with the newest TWRP. I have been using TWRP version 2.2.2.1 and have flashed many ROMs with no complication

How was that helpful?
try here manually downloading the drivers for the phone onto your computer
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/SGH-T989ZKBTMB
...
bro i already have the drivers .... gotta flash something with odin still searching what is it
ur help is appreciated .... there is no shame in not knowing .... teach me plz
What exactly did you flash? Which specific phone was it made for? Is your phone completely non functional currently? can you get into clockworkmod? If you can, assuming you made a backup b4 flashing anything use it.

You can flash your stock recovery/kernel/radio/firmware via Odin through that screen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374868
follow the odin tutorial there to get back to your stock firmware via Odin then you can root again or install CWM
next time you decide to mess with your software MAKE SURE ITS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR PHONE SPECIFICALLY
sounds like the OP was trying to flash something for the i9100 on the T989

You must have searched in a book on your coffee table or something, because you can't go more then half a day without an "ICS OUT YET?" post on here. There is even a semi-long thread called "ICS progress for the samsung SGS2 LTE" sitting right on the first page of this same sub section.
So before you try to be so sarcastic and snappy, use your head.
The Dev section has the roms. Use master and slaves new beginning.

Don't forget to download and flash gApps as well! Otherwise you won't have the Google Play Store.

Be sure to download the correct rom and find the zip folder titled zesusc. Which is the cdma version.
Thanks for the help. I really shouldn't have attempted my first flash as tired as I was. I got it working tho now running CM9 on my R800x. The difference is night and day, brought life back to my device.

Nice! You chose a good kernel, too, I used it for the longest time before switching to Jellybean.

[Q] Bricked?

Hey,
my english isn't that good, I'm sorry for this.
The last weeks I've beet trying some roms. Everything was okay.
Today I tried Android Renovate. I flashed the Kernel, wiped everything (except the sd ) and flashed the mod. So there was a bootloop.
I wanted to wipe everything to try something else. But I couldn't even get into the recovery. So I searched on xda for a solution...
But after looking up my version und relocking the phone I could not find a ruu for my hox. (ver.: 1.29.111.11)
Now the one X can't boot anything, has not enough accu, isn't able to start the clockwork-recovery and shut down.
I really don't know what to do next. Can anybody help me?
greez Muff(in)
Use this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734365
Unlock your phone again
Flash cwm
Then renovate boot.img and rom and all should be ok and next time try [email protected]

[Q] How to install TWRP Recovery on KFHD7 with stock rom?

I have a Kindle Fire HD 7 (7.4.6) rooted and I want to know if there's a way that I can install the TWRP Recovery without flashing any rom at the moment and most important without bricking it. I want to have it installed in case that in a future I want to flash a rom. I think it's a must have tool on this device but I'm not quite sure if it's possible and I don't want to try how-to's that I've read in these forums because it's not what I'm looking for and I don't want to mess up the KF . Any help or advice on this will be very appreciated.
Nothing?
Unfortunately you posted this in the wrong forum. This forum is for the original KF. A quick search should get you to the HD forum. Good luck.

Vanishing firmware

So here's my dilemma. I have not noticed till yesterday but have no firmware listed on the bootloader screen of my device. I am not having any issues but I can't figure it out. Can someone tell me why its vanishing? I have reflashed it a couple times and when I reboot into bootloader its gone. Thanks in advance for any helpful insight.

Use another camera? Basically we can't really help unless we see what's going on.

Are you following the guide and performing the second flush/flash after the first one says it failed?
The process requires a second flash right after the first one, to complete the process.
Just making sure you are doing it as laid out in the guide.
Can't think of any other reason that would happen really.

What Rom are you on currently?
I'll try and replicate that if I can or see if I can figure out why that shows like that.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though...

I been using the current ACiP Official Nightlys. Before I ran aosb unnofficial nightly. But I didn't notice anything till after I first tried flashing your 6.0Sense Rom . Flyhalf205 twrp 2.7.0.1 wouldn't let me flash. So I am using your twrp now and playing between current acip and your Sense ROM. Oh and Liquidsmooth I flashed. All these in about the last month.
I just ran firewater on a new phone and this happened to me.
Edit: just flashed a custom splash screen and now it's back to normal.
