It is there in our phones also, go to settings, then system, then status bar , there will be an option called brightness control. Turn it on and you're done.!
Hit thanks if it helped you!

Why not, maybe it will take some getting use too.

Dont like the color of the notification bar, its gray now. Browser seems a bit laggy (Maybe the incompatibilities between JB and Flash?). I dislike the new transition when opening apps. The phone just feels awkward.

yeah totally OFF topic of this thread. But i will tell you how to get into recovery then dont post about that in this thread anymore since it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread....
Steps to get to recovery:
1. Power phone completely off
2. Once powered off, press and hold VOLUME UP
3. While holding the VOLUME UP key, press and hold the HOME KEY
4. While holding VOLUME UP key and while holding HOME KEY, go ahead and press the POWER BUTTON to turn on your phone.
5. You will see blue letters flash up on the screen, you can let go of the buttons once you see that. If you dont see that, then wait till you see the galaxy s3 splash screen then let go of the buttons.
6. Flash the .zip file in the recovery. BTW you MUST have a custom recovery installed. IE TWRP CWM. If you need further help please use the search function or google to figure it out. Just type "CWM or TWRP in the search function.

Maybe So. I do like that the recent apps screen is way faster and smoother. But man. Why change the status bar color? So unnecessary.
Anyone haptic feedback feel different?

I have searched a lot and didn't find any app for increased brightness of the Sony xperia S LED to be used as a torch or so.
So I kindly request any of the devs to try to develop an app so as to make a torch app which makes the LED to be more bright .
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Install a systemui with quick panel toggles. Torch / Flashlight is a feature.
