Hi Guys
So, not so long ago I got my first Android phone, after i just bought nexus 7 and fell completely head over heels in love with this OS.
so when i got my HTC One V and saw the OS i was pretty disapointed, and decided to update the ROM.
i used this "w.w.w.android.gs/update-gsm-htc-one-v-aokp-jelly-bean" guide and everything went fine, until i rebooted to recovery.
Then i get this image of my phone and 2 green arrows pointing in a circle (didn't know how to say this ) and then that disappears and another screen with an image of a phone, and a red triangle and an exclamation mark inside of the triangle. and then the phone rebooted and showed the white HTC screen and red text underneath saying "this build belongs to HTC......" and then it resets but always shows the same screen.
I tried doing a Factory reset in Bootloader, but it always shows that HTC screen and red text.
i don't know what to do, i hope you guys have some answers, i certainly don't
This happened to me before too.. try to turn it on. If you made a backup like your supposed to and haven't flashed a kernal hold power until it stops blinking then hold vol down and then go into recovery and wipe data/facreset and wipe cache/dalvik and then install your backup and reboot.

I think it was because you don't have a recovery. I don't think you flashed it properly try again. That was my problem
I think

download a cm10 primou ROM/gapps/ to your sd card then downlad the boot.IMG on your computer. Go into recovery andflash gapps and the ROM.. then hold power and when it goes off hold down and you should go into boot loader. Then select fast boot. Go onto your computer and go to the cmd prmpt and type fastboot flash boot boot.IMG and them reboot. Depending on the kernel/boot.IMG you may need to flash the zip for it too.

Hi there,
I recently tried to flash a new rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403113
Everything went fine, untill I rebooted.
Because I keep getting the "HTC, Quietly brilliant" screen (green letters and white background).
It just stays there untill the battery is finished.
I have a good CWM backup, but I can't acces any menus anymore.
Is there anyway to fix my phone? For instance, by putting cwm on there again, so I can restore to my previous ROM?
I'm leaving on holiday next week tuesday, and I'd like to fix it by then.
I would be very gratefull if anyone could help me with it.
Thanks! Sean

And of course it's fixable. Flash recovery.img from fastboot (using fastboot commands or android flasher) and just restore your bacup.

Up to two days ago I was happily running CM 7.2 on my German Defy.
The claims of many that CM 10 alpha is good enough for daily use tempted me to try upgrading.
I made a nandroid, installed Quark's CM 10 daily build and started playing around.
A few apps crashed, which I did not like and my 32GB class 10 SDcard didn't seem to work as expected, acting as if it was a 16 GB card.
So I decided to return to CM 7.2.
My mistake is presumably that I expected restoring the nandroid would be enough. I ended up with the Defy stuck in the Google startup screen. So I downloaded RSD Light and an SBF, assuming flashing the phone would fix the issue. Well, it doesnt...
- If I flash a Jordan 2.51 SBF, I remain stuck with a black screen and the phone seemingly not doing anything at all.
- If I flash a Jordan 3.4.2 SBF RSD Lite states 'Please manually power up this phone' and 'In process...' while the phone displays a glowing Android logo. Nothing else happens. I pulled the battery to reboot the phone but it remains stuck in the screen with the glowing Android logo.
I've read many posts here but can't seem to find one that describes my issue. Has anyone got any idea how to proceed now?
Just go to stock recovery wipe data and cache and reboot again...it will work....for doing that.....press volume down button and then press and hold power and volume down button till android toy shows up.....then wipe data as I said....then do all the works of rooting....
Btw.....do not blame cm10 fr ur errors....problem with high class SD card is well known.....abt app crashes before blaming u should wipe cache/dalvik cache or reinstall app ......most of the errors are due to that.....or try fixing permissions in Cwm
Done

I had already tried this but something must have gone wrong. Your suggestion made me retry and this time I did get to see the toy Android icon. My Defy is up and running again.
I have the same problem whatever of the stocks sbf i try to install nothing happens just displaying the logo and please power up this phone.. in process. And after i try to go to stock recovery it appears just little android toy with big yellow exclamation mark in white triangle. Any ideas.

Once you are at the little droid push the UP and DOWN volume buttons simultaneously to go to the recovery menu. You can then wipe data which should give you a phone that starts properly again.

Ok so basically, I rooted my phone yesterday. Installed cyanogen mod and cwm successfully. Didnt like cm....so I just flashed MIUI ontop of it (which was a stupid mistake and didnt think about it since it was early in the morning). So then I tried loading the stock rom ontop of that....no luck...then i tried loading another stock rom on top of it...no luck....and then another....no luck. Now I can only enter download mode with no way of entering recovery mode (which I was able to get into before but not after I installed like 3 stock roms)...Now when im in download mode, The custom binary download count is at 5....which im assuming is bad lol. Not only that, but i tried the "nand erase all" option on odin and still no luck....still stuck on the samsung glowing boot logo. Im ****ting my pants cause I just got this phone a week ago and cracked the screen the day before (first time every cracking a screen )...Goddamn android rooting is so much more complicated than jailbreaking the simplistic iphone (even though i fell in love with the s3 in just a week)
Soooo please Im shouting out to this community that has made so many guides (which i thank you for), but none were able to fix my problem .... Any suggestions? I can't do a factory reset either cause i cant even enter recovery mode...Im 100% sure that I used the correct ROMs and files for my att samsung i747
EDIT: I tried odining the stock ROM again (for like the 5th time) and now when I boot my phone, it gets past the 2nd screen (the samsung galaxy s3 screen) but blacks up right before the 3rd screen (the white att logo screen) and only shows a glowing green to blue LED at the top left. I am still able to enter download mode, but still not recovery mode even after odining cwm. Im up to a custom binary count of 8.
Odin back to stock.

Ok let me rephrase it then. Ok yes I can odin back to stock. No i can't get past the samsung pulsating logo....and NOW i cant even get past the second screen and I freeze with a black screen and a blue LED right before when the att white logo screen is supposed to pop up. FML
HOWEVER i am now able to get into recovery mode so i atleast made some progress.

Probably have to factory reset in recover after the Odin to stock to get it to boot up. It will erase the internal SD though.

No, it won't. Factory Reset does not touch the internal sd. It merely deletes app data. But what they said, Factory Rest, Wipe Cache/Dalvik. You'll be good to go. This is causing your hang up.
Use TWRP to wipe system and data-wipe (bottom left corner, forget exact name). Those two items usually help me when nothing else is working.
You can wipe your internal sd card by using twrp and going to wipe.

So long story short I think I messed up recovery mode for my phone by downloading the cwm without using FreeGee. Ive done a stock reflash many times and yet it always gives me the red triangle "!" when im rooted and use the touch recovery, or when im unrooted and do the button combination it gives me a blank screen with a glowing led after the lg logo pops up a few times.
This is the last stock rom I used (v10p): http://lg.storagecow.eu/?page_id=10
and this is the root im using: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCBLOhWavT0
Also I'd like to note that I cant get the stock fastboot to work, it just does the black screen plus led light
I got it! after I change my root to Kingo and then made sure I did the steps right for Freegee I got it, . Just wanted to update if someone gets this issue
Out of curiosity, how did you get out of ftm mode?

Its because you used the CWM recovery .exe from the downloads section. Use the one from CM12 or check YouTube here for an updated .exe:
